OMG, saved my bottom! So simple yet so hard to figure out without breaking it! Thank you.
Thank you so so much. I had forgotten how to change the batteries. Woke up this morning and it was 31 degrees outside and 58 degrees in the house. Such a simple, easy fix for a a very uncomfortable problem. Thank you so much.
Thank you for posting this video. You are a life saver. The house was very cold. I had no idea how to change the batteries of the thermostat until I found your video. :)

Thank you! saved me from having to have maintenance over to my townhome. It was getting hot and on a 90 degree day did not want to be without air. Quick and to the point.

Success! Thanks so much.
I did not realize there was a little battery compartment on the top of the thermostat. It was easy to replace the batteries and I felt good.
Glad it helped!
Thank you for your expertise Joe. Is the Honeywell thermostat the same as the Mitsubishi Electric thermostat?
If it looks like mine yes they are basically the same. Just look for the tab to pull the face off.
Perfect instructions
Thanks! I don’t have the same model as either of those but one is similar. Saved my butt. It’s hot out

@@Doityourselfwithjoe thanks so much hun / Waiting on engineers to arrive now / it’s 1831 pm on cold uk 😔
My Lennox thermostat is model 50M33. I just cannot open the door to change the batteries
You don’t have to cut it off before replacing the batteries?
No you don"t. Everything will be fine
Have a Honeywell 1003 change 4 batteries 1 button battery but the red light still stays out why
are you referring to the backround light?
Hi I changed the batteries, but the AC won't come on
There could be a couple things going on. Make sure the circuit breaker is turned on. Make sure the switch for the furnace it in the on position. If that is all on go to the thermostat and turn the fan on from auto to manual. no check to see if the fan on the furnace is on. If it is not on your thermostat is bad or something on the furnace went bad.
After I change the batter on the thermostat my display number on the left is still half showing and it’s the second thermostat you showed
Then its possible the thermostat is going bad. The LCD screen is probably going bad
@@Doityourselfwithjoe should I buy a new one I just bought the house and the ac unit and water heater is brand new with warranty on both been in the home since this February. The guy put in new stuff but dolled everything else
@@MissFayeLuvA11 You can. If it is functioning properly then it is not an emergency. You just wont be able to see the entire screen. Again if it is functioning you dont have to be in a hurry
The second thermostat i showed is a cheap thermostat. Its probably 15 dollars or so. The first thermostat i showed is around 90 dollars, mostly because it is a two stage thermostat.
@@Doityourselfwithjoe okay yes I’m in no hurry just learning about stuff because I’ve always been a renter and first time home owner is scary and overwhelming
Thank you
