Seriously though Embo is largely underrated. He was able to survive an encounter with Darth Maul and Savage Opress, had a badass hat that could be used as a weapon, shield and sick snowboard (thanks replies) and had no alliance:he would fight for good and for bad.
He is my favorite Star Wars character. I'm just glad he didn't get killed off that one time. Although, Geetsly's you forgot to mention Embo's cultural honor that made him throw down his weapon in favor of hand to hand combat when he disarmed that weekway. That scene was great.
I wonder how many bounty hunters Maul employed during his crime lord days, that could be an interesting story. A moral bounty hunter working for the ruthless Maul could be a good story if done right.
@Gaius Wyrden Its not only his badassery I like, it's his commitment to being a true mandalorian. His fighting skills are good and it's nice seeing him use a different kind of weapon we never saw in the movies or shows. His character is unique, anyone who watches The Mandalorian would know that
Knowing Embo's story, he is moral, you see this in the Aftermath series (he let Sugi's niece go despite the bounty on her head just because he respected her aunt). Bear in mind, from an outsider perspective the Republic and CIS were equally bad/good. He also did not know who Sidious is. I don't think he was the most moral, but he certainly had a code.
Funny thing is I'm on a chronological Star Wars rewatch and I just watched Bounty Hunters today lol. Embo is definitely one of my favorites, but I can't help but be reminded of Captain America when I see him.
In legends Boba Fett had a code he went by , and 4lom and zuckuss saved a whole bunch of rebels after Hoth..... Besides Boba Fett, Dengar was definitely a favorite of mine...
4-Lom and Zuckuss are my favorite right now. Dengar, IG-88, Bossk, and Boba of course are all close behind. Clone wars era i love Aurra Sing, Zam Wessel, Robonino, and Cato Parasitti
I knew dangar was underrated but the backstory was kinda sad and at least he did get a little bit of recognition in Battlefront, and that LEGO mini series!!👍
Nice to see Sugimoto and her squad get some live, also the reason they were so honorable is because they were based on 4 of the 7 samurai from the Akira Kurosawa film 7 Samurai.
I mean, it certainly worked for me. That's the one part of the movie that made me go "whoa". As long as we get it onscreen someday, i can live with it. Maybe i'd feel different if I knew how to make her as striking on screen as she is in the comics...
Can't forget Latts Razzi, the pink Theelin with the bladed whip chain. Seriously, one of the most underrated. She was good enough to gain Ventress' respect.
You forget to mention C-21 Highsinger and Latts Razzi, they were pretty good hunters too. A lot of the Bounty Hunters we saw in the Clone Wars were great, and even ones that were more cold-blooded like Embo and Bossk we got to see some form of compassion and comradery, whether it be with Embo and his dog or how Bossk actually showed some care for Boba. I really wish the last story arc for the Bounty Hunters that was planned for the Clone Wars got fully made, as it would have had Boba Fett and his honorable Bounty Hunters coming into conflict with Cade Bane and his more cold-blooded Bounty Hunters, ending with a one on one showdown between Cade and Boba, with even the more cold-blooded Bounty Hunters such as Bossk and Embo choosing just to watch and give Boba his fair shot to see if his way is better.
@Gaius Wyrden Boba is not as evil as Cad, he had at least some honor taught to him by Jango, maybe not the most honorable or nice Bounty Hunter out there, but far from a heartless monster like Cad or Auora.
Durge was very much not moral, and was more notorious as a commander of the CIS armies than as a bounty hunter. (He joined the CIS after Dooku literally dug him up and told him about the Republic using an army of Mandalorian clones. Durge had sworn vengeance on the Mandalorians for the death of his mentor (orchestrated by the doctor who gave them both their cybernetic enhancements), so the thought of tearing through clone troopers was enough to get him on board.)
Always liked Dengar personally. An he was one the few that actually made it relatively to "the end". Even in the novels. Even teaming with an aged Boba Fett an they both went from I guess bad guys to more of a wild card, almost heroes of sorts
"Djinn was the first to show us bounty hunters can be moral and choose morals over profit" This was done early in the clone wars. Sugi's bounty hunter squad vs. Hondo's pirates.
Bounty hunter book trilogy was really good and I haven't read it in a while but pretty sure Dengar and Boba featured heavily and Dengar actually managed to settle down at the end.
My favorite bounty hunter is black krrsantan because He’s a Wookiee and he doesn’t kick ass he smokes ass. And the fact that he was able to fight against obi wan kenobi and had knuckle dusters.
i think that Latts Razzi, the one pink girl with the whip was my favorite, seemed a little moral, was seriously underrated. she was super badass and had like 1 2/3 episodes mantu and chata were cool, the one guy in the box with the weird head and the other guy who was sent to kill padma
I think zuckuss is underrated also during the empires time he worked for the rebels also when there was a law that all bounty hunters were only allowed to work for the empire
Did being a Bounty Hunter give you *legal exemptions to what equipment you could possess (and buy),* like being on the Corporate Authorities _Waviers list_ [Han Solo at Stars End - the Falcon was too high performance] that allowed you to have a non civilian ship? If so what were the requirements? A official membership or just signing into a bounty board? And how much of an exemption was allowed - could a Bounty Hunter group own a Corvette or Gunship that could take on GAR or Imperial ships? Could they even get their hands on surplus military gear only meant for governments… Or were they always just staying close to the edge of what's acceptable while the Republic or the Empire looked the other way if they occasionally did business for them. For some ship examples, could the Millennium Falcon (if the smuggling holds were converted into holding cells for prisoners) be acceptable to Imperial authorities in the hands of a Bounty Hunter? - Han risked arrest if he ever had a full inspection… Could the Ghost be legal in the hands of a Bounty group - the sensor jammers and stealth for tracking high risk targets? Could a CR-90 variant or even a DP-20 be owned, or a modified ARC-170 for a loner. Was Slave-1 a legal ship for anyone to have, or did the Fett's get licenced tradesmen privileges? Could a Raider Corvette be purchased by a Bounty Hunter group (post Endor I assume]. Could a Clone Wars GAR ship be owned by Bounty Hunters in Imperial times? A Acclamator is large, but could make a great ship for a licenced mercenary company - if the Empire didn't impound them on sight. And then there's the YV-929, which would make a great base ship to be modified for a small band of Bounty Hunters, or Pirates or Rebels - which is why the Empire didn't like it.
Jas emeralda is probably also pretty cool to see on screen! She is the one to rescue Temminn Wexley and save the pour soules from MISTER BONES, but not for long :-)
If skinning Wookiees who ripped off some poor meatnecks arms for beating them in a card game, makes me a bad guy, then I guess I’m a bad guy.. But when your Freezing your meatbag posterior off on Hoth, you’ll wish u had a Wookiee fur coat..
Just because a being's morality does not match yours, nor within your ability to comprehend, does not mean they do not have a morality. Even a sociopath will live by a code if they are to survive into adulthood.
People seem to forget that a lot of bounty hunters and mercs in starwars aren’t bad guys or only there for cash. Some do the job because who else is gonna run into a thieves den, blaster in hand, to bring in actual scum when there’s no police force to be found?

Embo is my favorite bounty hunter along with Bossk, Mando, and Boba. Star Wars has awesome background characters. Edit: And Durge too :)
