You can choose to discard a weapon when opening a chest with a full inventory, you don’t have to close it discard one from your inventory and re open it anymore.
Thank god, that was such an annoying thing in the first game.
so that means the most chests will stay pointless like the first game ... sadge
@@neoism what?
@@neoism please explain???
You opened the inventory? I just used quick equip and threw whatever I didn’t want with R
@@Desty0007 because most of the times your inventory will be full. Items from chests should just be free and doesn’t take a space in the inventory imo
Alex just lighting the wood plank on fire and watching it burn without rising much is the best...also the thinking process of dropping rock on koroks head xD
As is tradition 😌
It actually was rising! Very slowly but it actually worked.
@@FO1692 Would definitely need to have more to get anywhere in a reasonable time
This is the way
Such is the mandatory ritual after greeting a Korok.
You can tell it runs better than the first game because they didn't have to worry about it running on the Wii U.
More like they had more time to optimise it. Also, Zelda BotW ran very well if you avoided a few areas, and Nintendo definitely wouldn't allow the press to showcase the game early using those places where the game struggles.
And I'm still rather annoyed that BotW was gimped on Wii U and cut all gamepad functionality because it had to also release on Switch. Imagine if Twilight Princess on Gamecube didn't give you free camera control because you couldn't do it on the Wii either...
@@leonro It actually struggles A LOT in Zeltiks gameplay for whatever reason
@@leonro this is literally my exact viewpoint dude. They screwed over every Nintendo fan who bought a Wii U just for Zelda. Wind Waker HD and TP HD had great gamepad features that we expected for the next Zelda game.
The Switch version really isn't that much better. If they truly optimized it I feel like it could have ran at 60fps
But image quality/resolution is so bad :(
I love that they kept some humor in the gameplay. Blowing up an enemy and having their drops fall from the sky and land in front of you is golden
Also killing an enemy on a sky island and having all its drops fall wouldn't be very good, you can see them headshot a construct and it doesn't go flying off the platform
Ikr. I can't get over how Bokoblin laugh at our face after he hit us.
4:41 Laughed way too hard when you deliberately dropped the rock on its head.
I simply have to do it with every single rock-revealed korok, with zero exceptions.

This is the way
Did koroks fall when dropping rocks on them in botw?
@@dukemon6163 *sigh* it's a symbol of good luck
The best thing by FAR is that when your inventory is too full you can swap the item out!!!
Yeah that was a much much needed qol change
Welcome to 1999
if i’m not mistaken, couldn’t you just do something similar in botw by throwing an item or dropping it and picking up another? so they basically eliminated those steps. which is good. i am impressed so far. wish they would have done more with koroks, guess we will see. still hoping this game has both dungeons and shrines. very cool though.
@@dustywallnuts With a treasure chest, it would play the whole animation, show you the item, then tell you your inv. is full. So you have to drop an item and then watch the same exact animation again and see the item name again just to get it. It's especially annoying in shrines lmaoo
@@riku5543 ahhh yes. I forgot the treasure chest scenarios. well put. yes agreed. very annoying.

@@Alex_Fishman let's that hope getting them isn't harder
3:45 Something to note is that he had 10 3/4 hearts here, so gem arrows must cause MAJOR damage. In which case I dont wanna use those unless I'm launching them far enough...or if I have to use them closer, I need to make sure I have upgraded armor and/or some fairies on me. I'm gonna lose a good amount of health but it's a sacrifice I'll have to make
i like that gem arrows deal so much damage and have such a big explosion, since youre essentially giving up a lot of money from selling them in order to use them
They are like elemental bomb arrows something I wanted to see eventually
It’s great how they do more damage since they’re rarer because if they did the same amount of damage as regular elemental arrows, it would be kind of a waste to use them
If the rubber armor still exists I’ll use that
Yeah having armour with elemental immunities will be even more important here than BoTW
Thank you so much for uploading this with no commentary ❤️
Yes! Love it when people allow us to see and understanding things for ourselves
Hi guys, Joe from Nintendo Life here. Remember to smash that like button and hit subscribe. Before we begin, I'm going to tell you how my day was and give a 12-minute backstory
@@TheDanielLivingston LOOOL that's soo accurate
I LOVE that you guys didn't do a voice-over here. Just showcased the raw brilliance of the game. CANNOT WAIIIIITTTT
I think the Magic Rod is the Eevee of previous elemental rods, attach something elemental to it to get an elemental rod as before 😊
For example, a shock Chuchu gets you a lightning rod, a Topaz gets you a thunderstorm rod.
It says in the description that it only works with gems
@@male_enjoyer To me, it seems gems give it maximum power, and not that it only works with gems. Anyways, we shall see :)
That little hovercraft at the end just flipping over is exactly what im gonna love about this game. I imagine there's gonna be a lot of frantically trying to salvage a design midflight bc falling means 10 minutes of getting back to the sky
I would imagine the recall ability would make getting back to the sky rather quickly like in the gameplay demonstration a few weeks ago. But yeah it'll likely always be a big "NO!" when you get knocked off lol.
I saw now like three or four different videos showing the gameplay, everyone got the same tasks and I absolutely love to see how everyone solves the challenges differently!!! That just really shows how this game will give every player a somewhat different experience and for everyone different ways to solve things. I absolutely can’t wait to hold the game in my own two hands now!!!
I haven't played any Zelda games since ocarina of time... Which imo is legendary... How does this and the last one compare? I've got it at home, but haven't ventured into playing it yet
8:00 big brain moment. If a little fire can lift up a balloon imagine what setting the whole ship on fire would do.
Probably exactly what happened
It seems from everyone’s gameplay that arrows fused with elemental gemstones tend to kill its user more often than not

Congrats, you stole from the IGN video for likes
Wait…Hestu is STILL trying to collect Korok seeds? Even after we’ve helped him rack up the better part of a thousand of them in the last game?
…Maybe it’s time we seriously started to talk about intervening and getting him into a rehab program.
No one needs that much poop for their shakers. He's gonna get sick
monsters REALLY don’t like him or his seed addi- maracas yea maracas
Spoiler alert: That's the sidequest in ToTK that gives you the Hylian shield this time around. You have to help Hestu conquer a 12 stage rehab program without him relapsing.
I mean the Koroks stole them once, guess they decided to do it again 😅
The Korok doesn't recognize Link, so in guessing that there were Koroks that existed in sky island
glad to see that the gem arrows have a HUGE area of effect and actually justify using them...i hoped they weren't just regular elemental arrows.
also it kinda looks like even though the Moblin that got blown up flew off the monster camp, his parts dropped where he was standing beforehand. if so, that's an amazing quality of life change. probably a way to make sure you can still get materials from dead enemies that get knocked off of sky islands by accident :)
I can't help but think, after watching all the new combat interactions, that this would be the perfect engine for a dungeon crawling permadeath roguelike. Just 2ish more weeks. 2 very very long weeks.
This is so fun! Can’t wait to play!!
Being able to throw, not just drop, everything you find is such a game changer. Can't wait to throw random shit into enemies' faces! Oh you're a fiery boy? Not anymore _throws chuchu jelly_ . Too many enemies? Peace out _throws puffshroom_
Throws puffshroom, loot the chest, c'ya.
Throwing the chu jellies feels like having Fira, Thundara, and Blizzara.
You guys definitely got the best recording of the game so far. I saw the previews from other channels and noticed some frame rate issues, however after watching this video I realized that had to do with their method of recording rather than the game having actual frame problems.
I'm so damn excited for this game!!
And most of them are also showcasing some Nintendo footage, which makes it annoying watch the exact same scenes in different channels
Best gameplay too, this guy was really trying the mechanics and experimenting.
It’s not recording the game has frame rate issues 😂
@@omensoffate where did you get this idea from? only zeltik has has a slight frame rate drop very briefly. why are you lying
@@omensoffate Playtesters have said it runs fine. It's a recording issue
This raw gameplay shows us that these constant frame drops we see in many previews are mostly only occuring in the footage we can see throughout multiple previews which is probably the footage provided by nintendo.
This raw footage on the other hand was pretty stable when comparing it to the aformentioned. So the problems have to be in the way nintendo captured those stuff.
Thx for the cool gameplay! :)
yeah i was noticing that this showcase the game looked more stable. which i am thankful for.
could also be an older build that Nintendo used.
I truly hope that you are correct! I desperately just want the game to be consistently 30fps. No dips at all. Constant 30fps, doesn't have to go up at all. Just 30 so that it isn't an eyesore. It shouldn't be a lot to ask for in 2023, but Nintendo wasn't ready to be rid of the Switch hardware yet.
It's so nice to see the Bomb Flower's return. They haven't been in a Mainline 3D game since Skyward Sword.

I didn't realize how much I hated gathering Korok seeds until I found myself very visceraly and negatively reacting to it a few seconds ago... A very fascinating chain of reactions rapidly following each other in the space of a few seconds. First my stomach turned at the familiar sound, then I felt general disgust as the leaves burnt and the stone I dreaded would be there, was, indeed sitting there. Then self-reassurance, I thought something else or nothing at all would appear as the stone was lifted, denial as the Korok text started populating the text box and then, I was suprised at myself yelling obscenities at the cellphone screen in annoyance. Yeah, a little over the top, but one can't always control how one feels towards god darned freaking Korok seeds! Good thing that rock got appropriately placed over that irchsome little head, that provided some degrer of relief. Can't wait for the game to be out!
Yeah, you can't wait for this game to be out which has more boring mechanics than ubisoft games....
huh- why do you hate gathering korok seeds?
It seems some korok puzzles reward you with multiple seeds. It should be more rewarding and satisfying to find them.
@@hydrogen-8 It's literally gathering Korok crap. Why do ya think?
Thanks for just uploading the raw gameplay. So much to think about. Everything you think of just makes you think of something better. So excited to play this.
I’ll never get these stupid DLC claims, “Oh it’s just BOTW with new abilities”, “So lazy same map and koroks are back” yeah that’s what a direct sequel is. I swear these people would have a brain aneurysm if they ever saw the Yakuza series. All of those games are masterpieces and each game feels unique and different from one another and yet most of them reuse engines, sound effects, UI, and even collectables which are Locker Keys. They all have the same map which is Kamurocho, and the only changes to it each game are the restaurants and minigames. Yeah 0, 3, 5, 6, and 7 have different areas but they all still have Kamurocho, just like how TOTK has the sky and caves but the same Hyrule. What separates a new game from DLC is tone, length, and story. Even if TOTK was DLC, what difference would that make? If they make an entire new game’s worth of DLC for BOTW, do you really expect it to be cheaper? What do you gain from claiming TOTK is DLC?
Exactly. I don't even take those claims seriously. It's like a bot algorithm spamming the same copy paste statements that funny enough the last trailer alone completely destroys. Let alone the artbooks and developer statements about the old parts of the overworld being massively overhauled.
Let's also not forgot the equally stupid claims of "it's not t r u e Zelda because not Ocarina of Time formula".
0:10 the music is amazing!
Watching y’all and Zeltik play is so fun! Love seeing everybody’s different ideas
And seeing them solving the puzzles in completely different ways is amazing. This game is gonna be craaaaaazy.
I aint trynna start a disscission but...
Zeltik was the best one when It comes to making a hot air ballon.
Genuinely love that they both died by underestimating gem arrows against the same powerful enemy, lmao
@@mr_manager hope you like it, cuz that's all you'll be doing in this dungeonless DLC with the same mobs, same world, and same weapons made of paper
@@thewardenofoz3324 Can’t believe you people still exist, oh wait this has got to be bait. I’ll take it anyway because why not? This game is clearly more story focused, dungeons or at least dungeon equivalents are definitely in the game. Even if they somehow aren’t in the game the trailers indicate a lot more story focused game than BOTW. Also if you’re calling this DLC, wait until you hear about Yakuza lol. All of them have the same map, movesets, enemies, and a lot of them run in the same engine. Yet they’re 8 separate games, why? Because they’ll squeals, a concept that you seem to be having a hard time grasping.
I just broke out laughing at the Bokoblins fighting eachother 1:39

I hope there is a way to create a "favorites" list for things you want to fuse to your arrows. It's be nice to be able to experiment and then set your list before a certain puzzle/dungeon/encounter.
From the feedback so far, it doesn't seem like there is. This is one of the things that's a little concerning regarding the fusion mechanic. You can't just select for example to have one type of thing fused to your arrows, you have to select it each and every time. Some of the combat so far has been real pause heavy, would have been nice if they took some more time to minimise this

but some of the decisions made in this video were... a choice. lol. But it is interesting to see how trial and error can be in this game. Like when they made the flying ship of cells fans and a rocket once the rocket expired the two fans in the front were too powerful which is why it capsized. That same idea with maybe 4 at equal distance might work better.
4:57 so instead of having bombs on demand, it seems we have to forage for bomb flowers to have explosives. It's a good way to give us options without allowing "cheese" tactics like wind-bombing.

I liked the most recent trailer, but i am not convinced by this, it's way too similiar for me. Would've been amazing i they had kept the graphics, animations and sounds (like here), but switched up the entire region, in a wind waker fashion. If there are dungeons, then that would be quite different than botw and might make me more interested. I just hope there are more distinctions from the previous game than what i could see in this snippet.
This is just a demo of the very early game for certain people to try out the basic mechanics. After the last trailer I wouldn't worry at all, and the trailer seemed to only scratch the surface.
