They tried charging my wife 120$ for the cabin and air filter. I did it in 5 minutes and spent 40$ at advance auto for the parts. I know they're cheaper elsewhere but Im buddies with the owner of the store. Don't mind giving him my business. But still saved 80$ because of this video. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! It was super easy after watching your video - I changed the engine air filter and the cabin air filter quickly & easily. May your kindness come back to you many times over.
That is a great demonstration of the process, thank you very much sir. At the beginning, thought I had to take off some plastic covers in order to get to the drain plug and the oil filter.
I was cleaning the air filter of my 2012 Prius C, after installing it back i forgot to lock the 2 metal things that are on the side that keep the cover in place, also i did not fully closed it, there was a small gap where the air could get in without going through the filter, i drove for like 1 hour before noticing this. Do you think that could have caused damage to my engine? since the engine is not always running on this car i think it might be okay. One thing i noticed is that the rpm where higher when i accelerate, i thought it was odd but did not think much about it after 1 hour.
Remus Dabasol great thanks, I bought the oil filter as well but it doesn’t look like the one you took out, it looks like the inside of a filter instead so I think they give me the wrong part
Rankin Production make sure you gave them the right make and model of the. You can also check under your car and see the filter part number. Yours just might be the paper filter replacement. Every region may be different.
Remus Dabasol Thanks a lot they actually give me the wrong filter. I went with the filter numbers as you said and they give me the correct one. I was able to complete the repair today. Thanks again Just subscribed, keep up the good work 🚙💯
Warning about installing a new oil filter -- a point NOT noted in this video: Be sure and coat the filter's rubber seal with oil before installing it. After two years of free oil changes (new car) from the Toyota dealer, I tried to change my 2014 Prius C's oil at home, but, even with a perfectly fitted filter-cup wrench, I simply could not get the filter off. So I took it to Wal-Mart, where the tech really struggled, but got it off. I made him give me the old filter back in a coffee can, and I could see where he collapsed part of it wrenching it off my car. He said the dealer's tech guy simply failed to coat the old filter's rubber seal with oil when he installed it, That validated my insistence on doing my own work, as I've only had my oil professionally changed 3 times in my life, and this is the second time carelessness screwed me (the first time, the guy wasn't paying attention and I was a quart short driving out of his garage, good thing I stopped and checked his work).
James Desmond seriously? Jesus Christ that’s basic shit my dad taught me when I was a kid. Crazy how professionals screw this kind of up on a regular basis

The cabin air-filter..if clogged/old will definitely degrade your AC. Before you have any work done on your AC system change this filter.
My 2014 Prius C One is 3.7 Liters if you’re not changing the filter and 3.9 Litera if you do change the filter.
Hey is it the same procedure for the Aqua ?
Rankin Production yes they should be. Seeing that they’re pretty much the same vehicle just a different name.

does this video help with a 2013 TOYOTA PRIUS C 2?
Lord Odin it should but check your oil cap to make sure the oil type is 0W-20.
