Thanks for video. Done many oil changes but first time on a Prius. I usually like to take filler cap off while oil is draining to allow air flow and maximum drain.
The book says 4.4 qts but my 2014 prius V takes only 3.9 qts and that is including the filter change up to the top fill line on dipstick. Over filling a hybrid engine above the max fill line is not recommended by many sources on the internet. I found this out recently after my mechanic put in 4.5 qts and I had to drain out about 17 oz to get it back down to the max line. Overfilling is not good. Under filling slighty is much better
14 mm -30 ft/lb for nut & 19 ft/lb for filter housing. 4.4 Qt. (My notes, thank you!)
Great video that details all steps, torque values and even cleaning all surfaces before reassembly. Well done!
I even liked your music selections!😊

Thanks I did try my screwdriver, could not budge it. Carefully used my 1" wood chisel and pop right off.

Are the drain plug gaskets sticking to oil pan normal? Mine is so thight that I am afraid that I could damage the oil pan trying to remove it.
yes it happens to me all the time. use a flat head screw driver to remove the washer
