Two things Prius C/Aqua owners may not know. The jack is under the passenger's front seat, and that stupid rear seat belt blocking the rear view can come out and clip into the receptacle above the tailgate. Just use a small rod to unclip the belt at the little red colored piece at the female end. I don't like the fuel economy at highway speeds. (60+ mph). It doesn't corner that well with so much front weight. It gets no respect from other road users. I've seen 3 Aquas with optimistic speedos. 30 mph is showing 35 on the speedo. My Aqua is aubergine (deep purple), and gets thumbs up for that. The most stolen car in New Zealand. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for the video David a used car video for understanding how well it functions after real usage helps a lot as I am in the market , god bless you 🙏
Thanks for sharing. I own a 2013 Prius ' C" bought new and i must say that it is a great little city car. Mine has keyless entry and push button start along with touch locks and other nice features such as electric windows all around and " leather" seating. It's very nice. The trim level is "3", and it is responsive, economical, smooth, roomy and comfortable. It has given no trouble, and is regularly serviced at the corner mechanics shop. My other car is a 14 year old CUV that is much quieter and better riding but gets very poor mileage by comparison. Each car has it's place, but with these inflated fuel prices, I'll take my amazingly economical Prius " C" any day. I enjoy driving this responsive car. I did have dual trumpet horns fitted, but other than a sticker on the rear bumper, I've kept it stock. If you can find a good one, and live in the city, consider purchasing.
Good review! I love my Prius C. Like you said, it is not a happy car with 70 mph and up, but is ideal and thrifty basic transportation for city and mixed driving and okay with 55 to 65 mph.
To make it even more confusing, mine is a " 3" but was delivered with leather seats. As far as I can tell, it only lacks auto-dimming headlights and a sunroof but is otherwise equipped like a "4" ,and includes heated seats, cruise control and fog lights. I have no idea what went on here since this "3" is " almost" a "4". BTW, I disagree with the reviewers who pan the ride and noise levels. The car is just fine in all respects, and handles very well. Oddly the seats are comfortable for me, and I am picky about that. Perhaps it's related to my having daily driven air cooled VWs.
2 years later how is it on the highway im looking at one and live outside houston so i use the freeways a lot do you recommend? id probably go 70-80 max on this car for fuel economy.
@@xxkittyluvrxx , Hello and thanks for the enquiry. I still have and love the little car. It’s my daily. To be clear, I drive it in an urban environment, so can’t comment on highway driving. I have done that and it seems fine to me , considering that it’s a very small car. That said, expect it to be like other little cars on the highway: a bit noisier than some might like, a little rougher riding because of small wheels and tires and more limited in cargo space, because its small. Fuel is almost a non issue! It's THAT efficient! It’s an all around wonderful car for me. Good luck in your choice.
Outstanding and honest interview! I owned a 2012 four and t-boned it. I am most definitely going to grab another. Target like black, dark Grey, or darker blue with technology package.
I’m looking to get a new car that I can afford and have been debating a Prius . Yours is beautiful. I’m so tempted on getting a red 2015 Jetta because I love the drive and look but I’m trying to be smart instead of going for something I love look wise
Volkswagens are horrible in reliability. If you get a used Prius with high mileage you might have to get a new hybrid battery because they usually die after about 100k miles.
I just bought one and this video makes me so excited. First time having a hybrid so if there is any tips on charging and taking good care of it please let me know 😎
drive it regularly, it help the health of the Hybrid battery , as it always charge and discharge it longs the battery health. And change brake oil and calibrate using a toyota scanner. and change coolants and oils according to service intervals, and clean hybrid battery terminals too
There is a fan for keeping the hybrid battery cool. It is very important to keep the vent for this fan clean. The vent is a few inches off the floor on the driver side of the back seat. It is important not to block this fan vent with stuff on the floor and that it not be blocked by pet hair or other lint that would be sucked toward this vent. Vacuum it if there is anything on it. You may need to use a flashlight and get on your knees to see the vent and fan clearly. If this gets blocked or clogged the battery will not be cooled properly by the fan behind the vent, will overheat, and it’s longevity will be significantly reduced. Replacing the battery will be expensive and it is something you would not want to have to do prematurely. And change the oil every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil.
@@scottdean27 thank you! our family just got this car and i saw your comment, decided to check and it was completely covered in dust and hair, cleaned it up😊
That loudness you hear is that 1 speed CVT Transmission...when you accelerate.. Great Review..thinking about buying one.. How's the head height in the front and rear??...I'm 6'2...
I'm 6' even, and there is plenty of front headroom and legroom for me. I think it would be okay for 6'2". I've never ridden in the back, but from just sitting in it briefly, headroom is okay but legroom in the back, not so much.
😂 My wife got a 16 Prius c before she married me , now is my commuter car ! It is slow on the hill and loud! It is got more than 100k mile on it not a single problem at all. I just change oil and. Transmission oil and coolant and spark plug that is it ! Hopefully battery doesn’t go out for another 100k ! I put in a pioneer head unit and steering wheel control in it so it can do Apple car play and subwoofer under the seat ! Over all on the slow side, not a single complaint about it
@@deliverydashcam5002 What year is yours? i have a 2012 Prius C and i had to replace both the brake booster and brake pump assembly, i did it myself, with new parts from Toyota.
I got the habanero orange and it looks great. .... problem is there are like three in the entire city. If you run over a dog that happened to be closely followed by it's owner 🤣, the popo is going to find you in like 5 minutes flat. I don't usually run over dogs with owners, but you never know. One day you might want to run from the FBI... nobody plans for it, but I'm just emphasizing that even the old cat walker with Alzheimer's will remember the orange car.

Would seem a good idea to lift the carpet and lay sound deadening. Then pop the door trim and do the same. It would not be expensive
may do this, thanks

Toyota hybrids do not have a CVT, they have an eCVT which is a planetary gear set.

No electric windows on the back is a major fail
Every trim level of this car has electric power windows in all four doors.
