Ive been playing Since HOTS and i cant believe i didnt know this community of modded races existed! The bigger sc2 channels should really take some time to learn these races for fun and make videos with them! You deserve 100k+ subs my man thank you for introducing to this and the commentary and editing is top notch!
Yeah, as an equitable competitive race, the hybrid are crazy problematic. But as a toy to spice up your game, it's a win for me. I think the main reason it worked so well here was because Asur has a much higher APM than Sawyer. He could make up for the deficit with his macro. The end result was the back and forth that makes for a solid game.
Nicely done! Your knowledge and love of this game made this very entertaining to watch! I am a long time SC2 fan and player that is just finding your channel. I LOVE the short introduction the Hybrid race! This is one of the first times I am seeing them in action so you made it super easy to follow the action. Again, Nicely Done! Thank you and Congrats to both players for a great game also! GG
Thanks Bobby! We've definitely got more explanatory type videos out there for you to check out with different factions/races, if you are interested. Really, I should collect them into a playlist, that would have been more convenient. Sorry you are just finding this space now. Feel free to spread the word to anyone else you know who might be interested.
@@ZugzwangStarcraft Am going through an entirely devastating life experience and your super talented casts are helping me have something to look forward to and continue my recovery. You put so much love into your content and it makes me feel like a kid who just got that new game he was anticipating and saving up for a year. Thank you so much🙏🙂
@@ZaZen___ Thanks for that! It makes my day to hear this content is is actually of assistance to someone going through a rough period. Yeah, it's a very small community here but we try to make up for it by pushing for quality, or as you say, love. I wish you all the best for your recovery and hope that you will check in with us again!
It's finally time to cast a game featuring the Hybrid custom race! Thanks to Asur and Tom Sawyer for making this happen--they put on a really solid show here. Just a footnote, there are actually two fan-made hybrid races out there, this particular one is the "Network Hybrid" and is probably the better known of the two. SO BEHOLD! Tremble before the infinite might that is the hybrid and know your fate is sealed!
There actually is a dragon faction/race that was fan-made, or at least once called Dragons - not all the units are very dragon-ish. Maybe we can finally get a game of that on this channel sometime. I've always been meaning to.
Alright I don't like to be that guy, but I think you mean "interlocking circles" as "concentric circles" are circles that share a single center, not circles that cross into each others boundaries.
Dang! You are so right. Concentric means the same central point, like a stone thrown in a pond. Interlocking is the more accurate word. (Thanks, always happy to be educated, or reminded, I feel like there was a time I would I have known that.)
@@ZugzwangStarcraft you are very welcome. Had to leave midway through for work but I love your content and I'm loving your explanations of how the races work as well 💚
Bad pacing! I was probably resorting to jokes as a crutch to cover my lack of experience to analyze this particular match-up. But in fairness, does anybody have any XP with this matchup? : )
Thanks for that. Sound balance is an issue I've long struggled with. I love loud game sounds but it just doesn't work when it clashes, such as here. Feedback appreciated.
20:25 I feel like with the advanced technology of the 23rd century you should be able to know what's on top of a ramp without complicated scanning procedures. 😂 But then again: just StarCraft things. 🤷♂️😂
Despite Amon's defeat in the last war, some of his creations managed to escape destruction. Disorientated and deprived of control, they nevertheless survive and find each other in the Void. Moreover, they began to actively build their own civilization. At the moment, most of them arrive in the Void, but they are increasingly sending expeditions into outer space. One of these is just visible in this recording. It also shows that these Hybrids have mastered the technologies of the Xel'Naga, to an even greater extent than the Ihan'rii, and are actively using them, as well as biotechnology, to achieve goals known only to them. The main problem they face is the inability to reproduce. Hybrids do not die of old age, but they are infertile. Having built many facilities in the Void, and restored some bases lost during the war, they began to raise a new generation. They also raised servant creatures, created from their genetic code to perform basic technical or military tasks. It is unknown what they trying will achieve, but it is likely that they will try to realize the vision of their creator. Since Amon's main goal - breaking the Endless Cycle - was achieved despite his death, perhaps their goal will be to become the dominant race in the universe and take their rightful place among other stars.
providing such high quality commentary for such small comunity this is gold
We are small, but we are mighty! (Thanks!!)

Hey I really appreciate that, the community here is small but mighty. Though feel free to open the eyes of others!
It's always nice to see hybrids in one of your videos! Though they are 100% OP as a race.

Let's be honest here.
The real hybrid army is stettmen's mecha swarm.
Not only do they look the part, but they play the part.

I have wait the playable hybrid race all my Life !!!! Thx you so much
Exciting game, and awesome cast!
Awesome viewer.
I believe that every new race should have its own campaign for showcase.
Excellent cast
Those deep thoughts really make you think
Somebody made it to the deep thoughts!? Awesome!
I would rather if we faced this race at the end of the Starcraft 2 campaign, or maybe even back in HOTS.
That would have been cool!
This is great, i want to make a custom race now
Would definitely love to see it! I understand it's a pretty big endeavor.
@ZugzwangStarcraft yeah but I have allot of ideas, I do t know how well I will do though lol
it would be cool if you made a draconic like faction a fan made race of dragon like beings you can order around

also is that punk rock Rick?
(Rick and Morty reference (i may not watch it like your average show but ik about it))
Nice!
where do i find this one?
Can anyone tell me the name of the Hybrid mod?
I think there's more than one, but the one which was used in this match was very likely "P V P ALL RACES". Have fun!
