I used this stuff yesterday after washing and claying one of my customers vehicles. Then I applied some spray wax for a final touch. They absolutely loved it. Thanks for the videos and tips Scott. You're definitely the most free thinking detailer I've professionally come across.
If I have never used a DA polisher before, do you think I would be alright using this one with a Griot's G9 DA? I'll be doing it on my own vehicle and my vehicle is 13 years old so I'm willing to experiment with something, I'm just not sure what products to buy yet.

Griots complete compound came with my shurhold pkg. not bad imo. Gonna get the boss system based on your recommendations. Great videos
Good video, thanks for the tip
How are you sir? Great video, and I definitely subscribed! I'm looking into starting paint correction, and I want to start practicing. What is the stand you have that part on? Is it something specific to paint correction? Thanks!
Wow. I was using it to buff off wax residue after it hazes. Learn something new everyday.
jinxtacy 😳🥺
What would you recommend instead of Griot's for faster results if I was working outside?
How would you recommend this pad, the fast micro fiber griots with something like migs m105 or ultimate compound? The only pads I have avalibe as of now is the fast micro fiber and the griots foam orange light defect pads. Wanting to compound and polish looking for the best combination THANKS
Love all of your videos and have learned SO much from you. THANK YOU!!! Quick question, would you use this product over HD Speed? Keep in mind my Jeep hasn't been waxed in years, thanks again.
Pete Marra hd speed has some protection in it while complete compound doesn't
From what griots told me this past week there compound does have protection in it I ask them if I need to put a polish over and they said I could but not necessary to. I still think I do need to they have Polly wax.
James Chapman whoever told you there is protection in the Complete Compound is wrong. I have a family member who works at Griots and runs the bottling plant here in Indianapolis where all there liquids are made and bottled. You definitely have to apply a wax or sealant after Compound.
I'm new to paint correction. I have GG6 DA and a few orange pads and black pads, also from Griots. I got Fast Correcting Cream and Correcting Cream from the BOSS line and a One step Sealant. Would I need a Microfiber pad to tackle similar defects on my car? Also what compound should I use? Thanks in advance Scott.
Is this good for a one stage? Got some 40% off on clearance yesterday. I know Griot's makes good stuff.
I m a little confused, you made a video later recommending this compound and i watched this video and it sounded like you did not like this compound too much ... you also mentioned this compound was easy to wipe out , but in this video you said it isnt ..
Ricardo Gutierrez your right, I don't understand his reasoning on this....and I like his videos very much.
Are you thinking of the BOSS series?
Ey Scott, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. I got a 2016 WRX (crappy soft paint) that has, what appears to be, some light oxidation from road debris and UV damage on the side of my car. I was able to remove a small portion that i tested with a MF and meguiars cleaner wax. So I know its not terrible (i think). I also have a bunch of swirls and micro scratches. I dont have anything as far as paint correction goes and I need to get into it. And I have a small budget.. im leaning towards griots/pc DA. No idea what compounds/polishes/pads to go with because of the soft paint and I want something user friendly yet effective. Then some sort of protectant. Btw im currently using ultimas WW (living in an apartment with a garage and no water) i know you said something about using one company across the board to prevent a "traffic jam" im not sure if what i correct my car with will matter
I won`t lie Scott, I did speed it up on speed two from 5:07 to 9:55 (-:
i don't blame you:)...much love my friend
What does the complete mean complete ? does it have a Polish and a sealant or wax in it ? is it an all-in-one product?
I'm a newcomer to detailing. What do you mean by "6 section pass"? Love your easy to follow videos!
Do
You recommend plastic polish or an all around compound like this for plastic headlights
Can you use this method on a white gel coat motorhome??
Could you do a video of what speed to use when compounding, polishing, waxing etc? It would be very helpful. Thanks!
To anyone wondering. You can find recommended speeds online from Griots Garage downloadable PDF guide
Thankyou Sir
What are the chances for a new guy to burn through clearcoat with a cutting pad and grios compound following these procedures?
congrupe31 very rare . DA polishers are pretty safe . You’d have to put on ton of pressure and sit in one place for a while and even then you’d prob still be safe . I tried multiple times on test panels with aggressive compounds and pads n have never came close to burning through . Ur pretty safe using a DA
I used this and the griots microfiber pad and it did nothing to remove my scratches :(
I'm big on Chemical Guys products. What is your opinion Mike?
What would you recommend as a good one step product?
Francisco Delgado griots sells an all in one comes in a white bottle I use it all the time but there are many out there

I hope to meet someone that is a pro at auto painting and detailing because me I could do better at the hands on learning. Don't know nobody here in Michigan that is a pro at it that can help me get better. But only been trying auto detailing things for a year almost now but have made lots of mistakes and my auto painting last year year didn't turn out the way I really wanted it on my old Dodge Dakota metallic truck. But my new truck is a metallic painted truck also but it has scratches wanna get out and I want to learn how to do auto detailing like a pro even auto painting. I do have some paint stuff coming to paint over the scratches and it should be coming soon though. At least when I go to Texas to live it will have better weather for doing auto detailing and painting so be to learn more often down there in warmer weather.
How would you compare this to GG Fast Correcting Cream ?
fast correcting cream is better for deep defects
Thanks, Much Love ! I'm going to be filming my paint correction on my Imola Red 2006 BMW Z4M roady soon, part of it will def be with my new bottle of GGFCC. I started my FB page today and looked to like your page, but could not find it, are you doing like the cool kids and keeping up on the social media platforms, or just YT ?
What would you follow up with ?
Hi,
Is it ok to apply nano Ceramic Coating after using the complete compound? Is it safe?
Thanks in advance!
After a wax and cleaning yes it will be ok but are you.using a real coating that u have to heat after to cure or spray like f11 or ?
Hey Scott how does this compare to 3d one?
What wax or sealant do you use?
im a huge fan of menzerna power lock and menzerna wax...i have two videos of me reviewing the products and how i use them..they should be easy to find on my channel but if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask:)..much love my friend

So what's the best overall compound for total beginners, doing their own vehicle? I was considering this one, but I need to watch more videos of it being used.
I just got it today and it performed pretty good on my 2005 Honda accord
@@josebonifaz1098 That's good to hear! I'm still on the fence on hand polishing versus trying to pick up a DA polisher over the Black Friday sales.
Hey Scott, why do you use cheaper polishers to test compounds when you have rupes' and flexes to use?
because most people don't own those high end machines..but I'm making videos of these compounds with rupes and griots soon..50-50 pictures are overrated on youtube but i will explain my experience and why i like some products
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing makes sense. Also thank you for videos. I've been learning about the industry for going on 6 months now and I finally ordered some of the necessary stuff from Amazon. I just found your channel but I wish I found it sooner man. I personally find your content much more practical and useful than stuff on AMMOnyc or Auto Fetish Detail
Good stuff....i dont care what you or anyone says...it dusts.crap all up in my wifes wranglers hinges hood hinges etc.polished nice, clean up was hell...still dust crap around...ugghh.
Dusting comes from user error with this product.
Keep working on your skills and pad control with residue.
I have faith in you!
Is that pad for wax and the orange pad for cutting compound.
? Can I apply compound with orange pad then sealant and wax with red or should I use the black finishing pad for wax.
jimmy ramirez I have wondered the same thing. I plan to use the compete compound with the orange pad, then use the one step sealant with a black pad. I have a black car and have had good results with one step and an orange pad. Need a little more correction, so I think this will work.
I live about 15 minutes from the Griots factory / store ... cool place to visit.. but I have not been 100% impressed with the products ( I am not a pro)
i have been to the store many times as well and it is cool:)..i don't buy many griots products but they do make many great products in my opinion...thanks for your comment and support:)
Ur suppose to use compound then polisher...
With this one you don't have to. It's diminishing.
Why a finishing pad with a compound? Just curious.
Dave Butch it’s like fine tuning an instrument a compound with a medium cut pad will get out more scratches so a car with fine scratches might benefit from a finishing pad with some compound, it should act less or more aggressively depending on the type of compound and especially when paired with different pads
Uhhh no I never use a one step!!!!! Boss compound system within the Griots brand is far better, whats going on lately did they give you the store free to play with???
well in the real world of auto detailing for the public, one steps are purchased more over two steps...if i said no to one steps i would be hurting my wallet:)
This guy talks way too fucking much way to much
@@markhutchinson4222 LANGUAGE!
@@AntLive29 I'm 32 years old fucking is one of my favorite things to do and well say sorry but the guy talks way too much if you watch 90% of his videos 85% of the video it's just him talking
@@markhutchinson4222 how else is he supposed to explain things ?
Too slow burning paint right at the start when you use that tool i know ur a scrub
A scrub?
Lol hope you dont charge by the hour the way you buff, holy crap.. Take you 10hrs to just buff a sedan, Jesus! Hahahaaa
actually i charge over 100 an hour when doing paint correction...this video was testing the compounds ability, so yes i stayed in the 2x2 area longer to check working time and its ability when worked for a long time..but i agree with you, in the real world its not necessary to work that long within the 2x2 area unless you want that desired effect...its very unusual to do paint correction for 10 hours, but guess what?..a lot of guys spend longer:)
6-8 passes is to much . 3 at the most
First off its griots not geritos. Second off... Youre going to burn that fucking paint off if you move any slower
you are so wrong my friend with everything you said:)..learn your facts because i actually know and have talked to Richard many times who owns the company...boy you are one very big moron:)..sorry but its true
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing so thats why you pretty much shit talked his product?
i will always be honest..just like calling you a moron:)..i didn't talk down on this product but i do know products that will work better:)..but that happens a lot in life...but the good news is you can change as a person and be less of a moron where griots will probably leave this compound the way it is:)
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing what do you use? I do airbrush and paint and body but i detail on the side. Just starting to play with clay. Whats your preferred stuff
as for a compound i would recommend Jescar Cutting Compound, Menzerna FG400, Sonax Cut Max as these are great for removing deep defects but to be honest Jescar outperforms the others and a little more balanced plus it finishes out so well...as for polishes, i would look at Sonax Perfect Finish, Meguiars M205, Griots Perfecting Cream from their boss line, but to be honest Sonax Perfect Finish outperforms the others but its very expensive!!...of all the ones i mentioned for compounds and polishes you can't really go wrong with any of them:)....but my two favorites are Jescar Cutting Compound and Sonax Perfect Finish:)
