I think what they mean is that it was the less bad time of their lives because a LOT of adults are miserable, either because of the overload of work or just people not having time to hang out anymore as much as they used to!

Yeah same! This ones pretty mild, but somehow I ended up making friends with a pretty bad person. Not like mean or anything, but she’s like a cliche annoying American who likes guns. She is an extreme conspiracy theorist, and I don’t mind that at all. I actually enjoy a few realistic or dramatic conspiracies, but she goes into pretty sensitive ones at school. She started conspiring about 9/11 and how she thought it was set up by the government. I would’ve listened if we were alone, but she was speaking quite loudly about 9/11, and it was getting a bit embarrassing. I have massive ordeals when it comes to certain people, and she had the worst qualities of a human in my opinion. I get really mad at these types of people, because I feel like they make up the older generation. Everything she says annoys me, but I don’t want to be mean to her. Also, she has a really sad life, but I have like, no empathy whatsoever, so when she talks about the divorce and her old mentally abusive mother, all I can say is “rip” or “oof”. I’m starting to wonder if I even feel empathy.

My middle school wouldn't even let us have juice if it isn't 100% sugar free, so that high school vending machine expanded my horizons.
My school had a Dasani water vending machine thing that just ate dollars and never gave us water.
My school had a Diet Coke products vending machine (but they were all about being healthy🤨🤔) and JROTC sold snacks and drinks after school, but if you rode the bus you would have to sprint all the way to the JROTC room to wait in line to get a snack and then run to the bus loop. We got out at 3:47 and the busses would leave at 4 as if my school wasn’t over populated and it didn’t take 15 minutes to even get through the halls

My worst horror story for high school started before I was even in high school: I was in 8th grade, age 14, and this junior boy (who was 17) and I were kinda like talking. I talked about it to someone in one of my classes and this other girl overheard. As it turned out, this boy had a GIRLFRIEND and that gfs sister was the one who heard about it. So that girl started harassing me online, spread rumors about me throughout the high school BEFORE I WAS EVEN A STUDENT THERE. It was bad. And he was the one who was doing all of this! I didn’t know he had a girlfriend AND I WAS 14 IN MIDDLE SCHOOL while they were HS JUNIORS
I just don't know why girlfriend of the guys get so amped up about him talking to other girls. I understand that she wouldn't like her bf talking to other girls but if I had a bf, I would allow him to talk to other girls in a non flirtatious way. Like friends. There is this guy who I met and his gf got pissed at me because I was talking to him yet he talks to one of my gal friends. he is v close with my gal friend. I didn't understand it at all. My gal friends is very nice but idk why his gf thought I was hitting up on him. I just wanted to be friends with him. This happened in college and I am in college lol.

My highschool was the time when all of our class was so United that no teacher or authority could do anything to us. We used to be the most brilliant, sporty, creative, literature, confident and Troublesome class. Teachers loved us and everyone protected eachother. No one was judgemental and everyone did and took positive criticism to become better. It's sad that these aren't true for most People out there....

My horror stories aren’t as bad coz I went to an all girls school, and it was more like a sisterhood. So if you were in the pits, we’d take you out.

I’m 30 seconds into the video I just have to say that the shoes on the bed are driving me crazy
I was constantly bullied in high school and even before that due to my weight. They used to call me fridge and they were making fun of me all the time. No one stood up for me and I used to cry a lot. I then decided to change myself so I started exercising and eating healthy and I lost all the excess weight. Then all of a sudden everyone became fine with me and they thought I would forget what they did to me.

I'm so sorry. I was bullied in high school because I was shy. There were cliques at my school and I felt like I didn't fit in them. I tried to join one of them but I did not connect with them. I met my true friends in college (still in college lol) and I am so much happier. Those haters can F off because I have real friends now.
Elementary school and middle school was horrible for me, but I LOVED my high school years. I finally came out of my shell and just rocked it.

So my highschool horror story was, I was on this theatre group and I involved in this project for a competition. I was trying my best to do my job making properties, artworks, etc and I was just smiling on the outside everytime I heard critiques about me. One day this girl texted me and she was like "you're doing a very bad job. It's almost the competition day and you did NOTHING" and I was like, I can't hold this anymore, so I cried at my bedroom. My sister found my phone and she read the text, and then she confronted that girl for being rude and disrespect my effort bc dude she was an actress and I was an art director, my job is harder than you. And then that girl was feeling very guilty bc my sister told her that I was crying 🙂

Literally story of my life
People are always like "people who say high school was the best years of their life were probably bullies who peaked in high school" but like... I wasn't a bully, but my life has just gotten so much shittier since high school. Like, in high school I felt like my whole life was ahead of me, and people actually talked to me, and I think listened to me sometimes too? That doesn't happen anymore. All the stupid teen drama, I don't miss, but it's like high school or even middle school were my best years just be default, because my adulthood is poo.
Oh my goodness, what happened with Lindsay was exactly what happened to me when I was in high school. I had a really manipulative friend who was jealous if I even had a chat with my other friends!
I was invisible in high school. I had no friends and just focused on school. It was very nice to stay away from all the drama that goes on in high school.
I was in that situation too lol. I had a few friends but I wasn't really close with them. I didn't hang out with them much. I focused on my academics instead. Now I am in college, I have tons of friends.
My highschool horror story is I was in trying to figure out how to come out to my family and one of my so-called 'friends' kept threatening to out me to my mom and basically made me her slave for about three months until I finally worked up the courage to finally come out to my mom (who was amazing supportive) and was super pissed off at the other girl for making me be afraid to talk to her.
You gotta be a badass to survive highschool.

I got bullied in my sophomore year of high school. Bullying sucks and it is not worth it because life is too short. I wish people were more kind in this world.
High school was the best time of my life. Senior year I got dumped for someone else which sucked but overall, it was a great time that I cherish.

My senior year I found out a girl in my class was going to be my roommate in college. So we became friends and just like the last story, she was manipulative. She’d make me buy stuff for the apartment, food for her, I’d drive her everywhere, etc. Then I decided to join the army instead because I didn’t want to miss my chance. And when she found out her reaction was to slander my name and then say to me “now who’s gonna drive me to southern”. Well..the army saved my life and within a year was the reason I found out I had cancer.
I'm someone who went through high school without any bullying... So I'm glad about it.

My high school experience was the worst, I was bullied for most of it and I thought I had friends who were there for me and I would tell intimate details about my life and then one day my bully confronted me in front of them and they started to defend me and my bullies then revealed that my friends were only pretending to like me and they actually didn't. After that I was a loner for a long time and I still got bullied and picked on but I didn't trust my now ex friends, and then one day this weird girl we all used to be creeped out by was now the main ring leader in that friend group and she started picking on me and I basically told her off because she was talking about my childhood trauma like it was a joke and then when I retaliated she talked about my mom being sick. I forgive them all but honestly if it wasn't for the friends I made after being alone for 2 years then I would have definitely killed myself
my horror story is
today in class i was really sad so people were asking if i was okay and i said yeah and i was zipping my bag up under the table and my blazer lifted and revealed my self harming and this boy shouted really loud so the whole class could hear ‘she has scratches on her arm, self harm is bad’ so i burst into tears from anxiety and i couldn’t move for a good while so i was crying with my head on the desk and i had enough so i got up to leave and fell over my bag and i just whispered i’m so embarrassed and i got up and ran out screaming i hate you all, i’m never coming back and i bruised my hand punching a wall. pretty swaggy if you ask me.
My advice: Test out of high school ASAP and go straight into junior college. College vs highschool is night and day.

My high school horror story happened exactly last week:
We were eating lunch in the canteen and I was on my period and I laughed too much until I pissed myself, when I stood up, the seat had red pee on it but luckily no one saw (I think). So I just tucked it in super quick and acted like nothing happened......

Mine was kind of similar I was on my period and didn't have any time to change my pad all day so I was super stained and I had a sweater around my waist the blood went all the way through and when I was sitting in lunch I stained the whole chair and my friends saw 😭😭 this was back in middle school by the way

I have the exact same story. High school. New at this school and with this group. 1 year pasta and she goes up to me and sits me down and says every little thing that she and the group hates about me. And even when I’m crying, she is still going on about it. I needed up running away in tears and never showed up to school until the last term
I did not bully anyone, I was in a great school(70/120 are medicine students now) and my high school life was (especially last 2 years) amazing. I gratuated this year and I'm studying another year for my university enterence exam. I'm still seeing my friends (at least online cause a.pandemic b.i live in a differeny city). I got bullied a lot in middle school because of my weight, my 'weebo' side, my music taste anything you can imagine. Yet high school was like heaven. I saw some comments saying things like "if someone's saying that their hs life was great then they were bullies" and that is definetly not true. I dont know about America but as a person from another country it was definetly not like that. I miss hs so much and it sucks to gratuated in 2020.

I've some from elementary and middle school that can beat those any day.
If we have to keep it high school -
I was in ROTC and advanced to squad leader. The girl who was acting leader got jealous and decided to set my hair on fire during class. I knew she had a lighter and had burned a little piece of paper, but never would have thought she'd use it on anyone let alone me.
Good thing my best friend was there, she slapped the fire out before it got out of hand and was yelling at the girl over it and telling me what was going on.
Colonel sent all three of us to the office. The girl's mom showed up and the principal told her the girl was to be expelled. The mom went off on him . The two girls she saw outside had nothing wrong with them, they weren't bald , and kids will be kids.
The principal told her the girl either gets expelled or he had to call the police and file a report on the assault. He called us into the office so the mother could see my hair. It wasn't bad, just one spot a little shorted and brushing it would make it blend.
He asked me if I wanted to press charges.
I told him I know I ought to but I thought a shrink would do her more good than jail.
She was expelled.
