My Grandma use to put Sulfur8 in my hair everyday when I was a little girl. She mixed it with a liquid product that smelled stronger but I can’t remember what it was! Sulfur 8 still going strong all these years ❣️

Finally. Someone who does this with a protective style. This is how you do it. Growing and retaining length at the same time. Some wonder why there hair grows but still have to cut off so much because it breaks off. Put it in a protective style.
That lovely luscious fro though! I meaaannn the proof is in the pudding. It’s just something about that old school grease! Our moms and grandmothers knew what they were doing. Protective styling, regular moisturizing, and being gentle with you hair does help it retain length. ✨💜✨
So true! All we used was grease back in the day and my hair grew long, no issues. Now everyone wants to say that naturals can't use grease! Tuhh lol
Wow! These products have been around for a while, but I've never heard of this challenge. Being natural for 13 years, I stopped using these types of products on my hair, but every natural has their preference of products and what works to achieve the desired look. Your hair is beautiful, and the products did exactly what you wanted them to do, so that is definitely a great thing.
See ppl always say grease us bad in the natural hair community when actually it depends on how your using it and grandma back in the day used to use these products and we had no problem
I have not tried this product but in Israel at Dead Sea all of the spa's have sulfer pools. Sulfer is also good for your skin.

This truly helps my hair in my protective style. Each one provides something different to your hair .
This was mama favorite little Mixture. She used to also put blue magic grease in it too. There was definitely some growth after your 30 Days.

thanks. this was back in april/may but i am still using the mixture now. its funny that the smell wasnt a big deal when i was working from home, but now that im in the office, i wonder if people can smell it lol

I’ve always known sulphur 8 to be a great hair food. We’ve used it for dandruff too. I’m greatful to know I could use if with doogro and castor oil. I’ll definitely try out this challenge. Thanks for sharing

I know the Jamaican castor oil is one of a kind. Its no wonder that you can see how effective it is. For me as an Asian (straight hair) I used Jamaican castor oil and my hair grew very long. Thank you for your true reaction on hair growth. A very helpful vlog 😊

I use to use Doo Gro faithfully. I use Blue magic hair grease now but there’s nothing like good ol hair grease 😂. Your hair is doing amazing since you went full natural. With this new regimen your hair will grow so fast. Good luck to you.

Sulpher 8 is the gold standard. It's an old school product brought back to life. It's proven to work.
I didnt even know it was an old school thing! The only greases that I remembered using when I was younger was blue magic and doo gro

I have not heard of this challenge. I have all the products you used and I will definitely be giving it a try. I love Sulfur 8 but don't like it's smell but what matters is the result.
Yea, the smell is bad! But like you said, the results are good and thats all that matters.

Sulfur 8..my mom used to use that on my hair and I so disliked it. It smelled like medicine lol.. But that tingley feeling was awesome.

I keep me some sulfur 8 mainly for if I have a scalp issue. I hate the smell of it though. And it does last for days. You should do a growth challenge without using these to see how much your hair normally grows to compare (if you haven’t already).
Nope, haven't done that yet! Going to have to check it out because I'm interested - that way I'll have a better idea if a product does above and beyond
I used this mixture before and I am going back to it because it really works. My sister had a large portion of hair missing in the middle of her head.i
Made the mixture on her head for a month by the second month hair had started to fill in nicely.now she has a fuller head on hair and she is so happy. So I say use it it grows your hair. Five fingers up for this magic ......

I love sulfa8...helps with dandruff and itch...only thing I don't like about it is that it has a strong smell...so I use it only when am home...am trying both for real.
Its funny, when I recorded this video (March/April) I was wfh and the smell wasn't a big deal but I use it from time to time now that I'm in the office and it smells baddd! I hope my coworkers dont think I stink! lol
Ive never tried the sulfur 8... I heard the smell is not so good. I have purchased the Jamaican black castor oil.. I just have to be consistent with using it.

Your hair looked so full in the after section. The black castor oil is a staple for my hair routine. Adding doo gro and sulfur 8 has to be a bomb combination.
yes! i love jbco! i really like the combo! I recorded this in March/April but still use it to this day!

Sulfur 8 is great my friend and I use to use it with Glover's Mane (when our hair was a snap your finger short) 🤣😂 with whatever kind of hair care products we had on hand.
Here are some of the products we had: Blue Magic Conditioner Hair Dress or the Blue Magic Bergamot we had Vaseline or Royal Crown we had Ultra Sheen for Extra Dry Hair and softee hair food and Indian hemp along with Doo Gro and B & B super gro and B & B castor oil or the softee coconut oil hair and scalp conditioner are some of the ingredients we used.
Prepared:
I had a some what empty vaseline container and added the ingredients to it like 2 to 3 Tbsp of each. I boiled water on the stove poured the hot water into a bowl and placed the vaseline container in the bowl of hot water until all the ingredients melted. I stirred it real well and placed in the fridge overnight and used it the next day or so the results were great. That was years and years ago.
I am about to make it this weekend.
How many times a week did you apply?
I did it every 2-3 days, depending on how my scalp felt. If I could still feel the grease, I would skip applying it that day
All those products are too much. U don't need all that. The sulfur 8 and castor oil is more than enough to grow your hair.
First thought I had!!!! I’m like babyyyyyyy that is so unnecessary and overkill. So wasteful!!! Simplicity is the key.
That's me right there. Already on it. Only I uses sulfur 8 fresh scented. Can't stand to smell plain sulfur 8.
I need to look for the fresh scented one! The plain one smells bad- I can’t apply before I go to work bc my co workers will probably judge me for that smell!! Lol
