I've only seen a little of each classic Doctor, but I'm starting to think Seven might become my favorite of them...
I'll always remember McCoy. He was my Doctor when I was a kid.
I used to dislike McCoy but looking at his episodes now he's now one of my favourite eras and it was a shame it was cut short
"look in to my eyes , pull the trigger , end my life" , the awesome little trickster of a Doctor , always plotting , keeping secrets and putting the who ? back into Doctor Who .
Sylvester McCoy was my first doctor and five doctors later he still is classic doctor will never be replaced by new who
"Do it. End my life."
TWO SECONDS LATER...
"They saved my life!"
"Don't thank them yet. You might live to regret it."
This is my childhood right here!!! Sylvester Mccoy wasn't the best doctor but these were my favourite episodes! Does anyone know how Ace was wearing the earing from The Greatest Show on her jacket in the episodes that came out before??? 🤔🤷♂️
The greatest show in the galaxy was filmed before silver nemesis. Its a continuity error.
@@diamondaxe4133 Makes sense!! Cheers 👍

Many people do. The problem was that the ship was sinking by the time he arrived (intentionally, thanks to BBC) thus the bandwagon wheeled in and lapped up a lot of hatred for whoever was holding the baton at the time. Season 24 was a mess as Colin was fired early, thus McCoy had to act out Baker's season with limited/no script edits to cover the fact that there was a totally new Doctor. After that experimental phase ended, McCoy and Cartmel began the masterplan - causing a hugely noticable increase in quality overall, starting with Remembrance of the Dalek's, one if the most popular and renowned Dalek stories of all time -- meanwhile, McCoy started pushing the Doctor into a darker and more mysterious place that many fans wanted.
By the time S26 creeped in, ratings were still low - but growing thanks to the efforts. Unfortunately, BBC didn't care and took the first possible chance of axing the show when they could, hence McCoy was cut short just before what would no doubt have been an amazing Season 27.
As it stands, his era in general is a 50/50 and shows just how little budget the BBC was willing to give the show - but most viewers can still find things to enjoy, even from his worst stories. On the other hand, he also has timeless classics under his belt that will always be fondly remembered, such as Curse of Fenric and Remembrance.
According to a Who marathon held by a mass audience recently, the average rating of all McCoy's stories in total ranked 7.2/10 - a good and accurate score despite all the obvious flaws. Some really bad stories, some exceptional stories - one of the BEST TARDIS teams ever to grace Doctor Who (if not THE best), the deepest Doctor persona arc in history, from bumbling comedic fool to the dark chess-master of time and space, Ace with her own story arc, some weird and wonderful villains and some very intriguing concepts.
If you understand Ghostlight it's a 10/10
Because the scripts were terrible, the production values had hit rock bottom, what was left of the budget was spent on useless 'D-List' celebrity? Guest Stars but mainly I hate it for Sylvester Mcoy and Sophie Aldred, two kids tv presenters who couldn't act their way out of a brown paper bag.
DMxX Which scripts are you referring to? I loved all scripts from s25/26 apart from Silver Nemesis
NIcely done but you can't polish a turd.
Ohhh but I bet you worship chris chibnall. He's a hack with verrrrry modest to no writing talent and an ego the size of Jupiter. McCoy's era is polished gold compared to chibnalls tripe.
