i like the idea, the concept of this video series, i also like your choice for #96, man... for me to think of my top 100 games would take me MONTHS just to come up with a list, theres so many great games out there, keep the count down comming
I did come up with my list a while ago, for a Cartridge Club top 100. It has changed quite a bit even since then (which was the beginning of the year, I think).
Started watching your series of your top 100 games. I am sure limiting it to only 100 titles being a dedicated longtime gamer has to be quite challenging with a lot of great titles not making the cut. Curious to see how many of these games I have played and looking forward to a great nostalgia trip. Great channel and good descriptions. Gotta love it...
Pam, you are my kind of awesome! I can't help but think that your "symmetry" mention means that Planescape: Torment will be your # 1. You have great taste, to be sure. I'm playing through Torment now (*love it*), and I love the King's Quest series. Stasis is a game I'll be starting very soon. It looks amazing. You have quite a lot of work ahead of you, 19 more videos?!? I'm greatly looking forward to them. :)
I'm a recent subscriber and I've been enjoying what I've seen so far. I'm particularly intrigued by this daunting task you've taken upon yourself. Not sure I could round out a top 100 for myself. I'm looking forward to seeing your entire list. Thanks for great gaming content!
I'm glad I found your channel you really know a lot about video games plus it's always nice to find someone who appreciates a good oldschool adventure game I grew up with Sierra and Lucasarts back in the day they were a huge part of my childhood. My very first gaming system was an Intellivision which was a clone of Atari 2600. It wasn't that great but then I got a NES and was blown away by how much fun the games were and how challenging. I remember the first time I played Super Mario Brothers I was quite frankly terrible at it but I kept at it I to this day still haven't attempted a complete playthrough of the game. Given how much better I am now might be something to consider. Sorry for the rambling I do that a lot too lol
Great stuff Pam! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. I'm playing through Torment: Tides right now and really enjoying it - I was sort of expecting it to be more of a Diablo clone, but the story-driven aspect is unique. I'm going to have to check out Stasis - I love Event Horizon.
Just recently finished Torment: Tides of Numenara and really loved it. It brought me back to my days of tabletop gaming, and the story and world was so rich, that it reminded me of discovering a great pulp fantasy paperback. Coincidentally, Zuma was the first downloadable game I ever bought, as well.
I haven't played KQ7 yet, but glad to see some love for the series on your list. You should definitely check out KQ4 - that has Rosella as the protagonist as well. Also: Compile! Always glad to see love for classic shmups.
This'll be an interesting series to follow. I couldn't do a top 100 or even a top 10 list because it's ever-changing for me. I thought I might have my top 5 locked in since they shaped me as a person but then I played Nier: Automata earlier this year which really gave them a run for their money so I'll never say never.
I had made a top 100 list a bit ago and it's changed a fair amount since then. I had to lock it in at some point, so nothing newer than March of 2017 will appear on it. I am still playing around with the order of things a bit though.
"This is going to be a very long series." No kidding! Looking forward to the rest of your list. Thanks for the gaming recommendations. I keep forgetting to try Tides of Numenera. Too many games, not enough time. And it's only getting worse every year!
Wow...Kings Quest. Brings back so many memories. Floppy disks. Those were the days of computer gaming for me. Thanks for taking me back. Love these lists. 🙂
Great idea for multi-part video series. Looking forward to the next episode. Event Horizon is an incredible horror movie. I've only seen it once, but wow, is it messed up (and superb). Haha
Dammit, I REALLY thought you were gonna say FROGGER for a second there!! You got me all excited! Anyhoo, you have also got me wanting to play this M.U.S.H.A game but the only problem is, it's on the old Wii VC, so if I download it, I won't be able to do save states like I could if it were on the Wii-U VC. And it looks like it's probably pretty hard. I waited till Turbografx-16 games started being on the Wii-U before I downloaded Blazing Lazers (another shooter I learned about from you) because I KNEW that was gonna be a tough one. (And it is but it's also very cool!) I can handle shooters like Space Invaders and Galaga without save states, cuz they don't have endings, but with the ones that have final goals you are trying to reach, I feel compelled to complete the whole game and that means I need to be able to pause the action at any moment like Zack Morris stops time! Ahh, well, I might still try M.U.S.H.A, I just probably won't get passed level one!
I just downloaded Super Star Soldier! Have you played that one? As a fan of vertical scrolling shooters I was really missing out not having a Turbografx-16 back in the day! (But then again, who DID have one?) Also, I really like the Bonk games ( I think you said you weren't a fan of those), so maybe I'll have to buy myself a used Turbografx just to have in my collection, cuz it's so damn cool!
@Cannot be Tamed I have a good feeling about this list. What i think i will enjoy about this is the offering of games you yourself enjoy playing, such as genres, platforms. I look forward to the rest of your choices.
There is something about kings quest VII. I played it when I was about 12. It felt so.. strange and mysterious. I get a very special feeling inside when I see something that reminds me about it
Hey, Pam. Just wanted to say that Ive played and completed Stasis and I thought it was brilliant. Only had to look up one bit online, as well - the pincer moment. Very good stuff, Im looking forward to the rest of your list. :o)
Apparently, there is a sequel which is free on Steam at the moment - its called Cayne, apparently. Might be a DLC actually, Im not sure. Looks kind cool though. :o)
Cool, I'm an only kid too Pam. Guess it was easy for us to get hooked into playing video games as kids since we didn't have any brothers or sisters to play with or to fight with over who plays videogames, lol
Cool. Tides of numenera looks fascinating, I have to say. Ive played Zuma once or twice on Facebook - didnt know it was a bigger game in its own right. Always enjoyed it. The one that stands out for me though is Stasis - think I may have to get a hold of that one! I remember your review for MUSHA, actually - was very good. I have to say, scrolling shooters like that always look remarkably stressful to me, lol.
Indeed. I think these lists can be very useful, particularly when theyre done well like this - I think its a good idea not to do too many at a time so you can focus more on each item. Looking forward to giving Stasis a go. :o)
Hey Pam, have you ever tried to play the hell footage from Event Horizon on slo-mo? They DID speed it up to be able for it to make the cut apparently. Rather gruesome and fascinating stuff. Anyway, nice to see that MUSHA has helped your appreciation for the Genesis sound capabilities.
There's a symmetry to this list. Tides of Numenera is 100th on the list. I'm calling it. You'll be putting Planescape Torment on the 1st. And if you do, I think I'll be falling in love. :D
Did you not spoil the ending of the series when you said you wanted symmetry? ;) I wish I would have loved Torment more than I did. The first part was so good, showing that the had some really talented writers on board, but I could not shake the feeling that the later parts of the game were rushed, as if they ran out of development time, money or both, and that would prevent me from putting it on my own top 100 list
The original or the new one? A number of games I really love suffer from that problem. Super strong starts, then they just go kind of combat heavy at the end. Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines did it too.

Ha ha, Zuma! My ex girlfriend from 13 years ago was not a gamer, hated the fact that I was, yet she would spend hours on her computer playing Zuma. Naturally, I have a bad association with the game. I had forgotten all about it. MUSHA would probably make my top 10, but I doubt I could compile a top 100 list. I would change my mind too much.
Popcap games have a way of drawing people in. My mom used to play them a ton. I'm still changing the order of things around on my list, it's hard to quantify one game over another.
You mentioned "if I was more into music than I am." Are you not particularly into music? Because I am not and sometimes I feel like the only human in the entire world that doesn't seem to be touched by music in the same way that, like, everyone else in the world is! Also it's weird that your #1 and your #100 have the relationship that they do! I'm surprised that the two games are both on the list but also so far apart!
I like listening to music but it's not something I really seek out. I'm happy to listen to the stuff I already know I like rather than seek out new things like I'm always doing with games or even movies. Also if I'm driving or out walking I tend to listen to podcasts over music.
@@Cannotbetamed1 Gotcha. I've recently discovered audiobooks! I always assumed that I'd hate them because I have some issues with processing the spoken word and while I do find reading to be a better experience in many ways, I was really shocked to learn how easy many narrators are to listen to, and of course how much easier it is to find time when my ears are available and seek stimulation when my eyes are not.
you are a girl from my dreams, you are nice and you like old games, especially those for ps1 i recommend you to try pc and ps3 game called the swindle, its very interesting hey honey...kiss ;)

It's amazing seeing a Top 100 Video Game list for RUclips and it's not just a bunch of gameplay with no commentary
Gameplay with no commentary isn't very useful.
Pam, you are my kind of awesome! I can't help but think that your "symmetry" mention means that Planescape: Torment will be your # 1. You have great taste, to be sure. Musha looks super cool! I'll have to look for that.
Great vid series.
Thanks!
I'm so glad to see someone bring up King's quest VII. Everybody talks about Lucas arts games, but you're the first to bring up my favorite :D
I think it gets overlooked, sadly
Great stuff Pam! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. I'm playing through Torment: Tides right now and really enjoying it - I was sort of expecting it to be more of a Diablo clone, but the story-driven aspect is unique.

Yes, Torment's so good.
Great T-shirt and idea for a series. Good luck with it!
Thanks! I've made it to the top 20 so far.
Wow, a top 100...thanks in advance Pam, you've already covered some games I was unaware of and now want to play.
Awesome, I hope people find new games from these videos :)
I haven't played KQ7 yet, but glad to see some love for the series on your list. You should definitely check out KQ4 - that has Rosella as the protagonist as well. Also: Compile! Always glad to see love for classic shmups.
Does KQ4 use a text parser? I think I'm at the point where I don't have the patience for those anymore.
Cannot be Tamed I get that. Yes, KQ4 is the last game in the series that had a text parser.
This'll be an interesting series to follow.
I couldn't do a top 100 or even a top 10 list because it's ever-changing for me. I thought I might have my top 5 locked in since they shaped me as a person but then I played Nier: Automata earlier this year which really gave them a run for their money so I'll never say never.

great picks, I'm enjoy watching all these :)
Thanks!
I'm going to watch the whole series, thanks Pam
Awesome, hope you enjoy it
YEEES, with gameplay clips! I'm looking forward to see the whole list!
Thx for the good entertainment! =)
You're welcome!
I'm already waiting for the next part of the series...
I love top 100 lists. Keep me coming :)
It's quite the expansion from my usual top 5 lists.
Your talk on King's Quest VII has me thinking of researching games to play with your daughter.
That's a good idea! Let me know if you need recommendations!
I'd love a good recommendation or two. Never too early to start that collection for Bella.
Wow...Kings Quest. Brings back so many memories. Floppy disks. Those were the days of computer gaming for me. Thanks for taking me back. Love these lists. 🙂
I remember some games being on 6-8 floppy disks... though I also had games that were on 6 CDs. I even had a couple on the 5.25inch floppies.
Great idea for multi-part video series. Looking forward to the next episode.
Event Horizon is an incredible horror movie. I've only seen it once, but wow, is it messed up (and superb). Haha
Did you know that movie was a spinoff of The Warhammer 40K series?
Dammit, I REALLY thought you were gonna say FROGGER for a second there!! You got me all excited! Yeah, it's going to be a lot of capturing game footage.

I guess I better get to making them.
@Cannot be Tamed I have a good feeling about this list. What i think i will enjoy about this is the offering of games you yourself enjoy playing, such as genres, platforms. I look forward to the rest of your choices.

Great list so far! I look forward to the rest! Also, nice Jigglypuff shirt!
Thanks! It's a cat on my shirt. Though the top of it's head does look like Jigglypuff (I had to google jigglypuff).
This is will be a fun series to watch.
I hope so!
There is something about kings quest VII. I played it when I was about 12. It felt so.. strange and mysterious. I get a very special feeling inside when I see something that reminds me about it
I agree! The environments and characters were so interesting. I especially loved the colourful forest area just after the desert.

100.Tales from the Borderlands
99. Divinity: Original Sin 2
98. Final Fantasy VII
97. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
96. Monkey Island 2
IIV? what number is this I don't even.
"This won't be the only Compile shooter on this list." Okay, I'm in.
Hey it's MUSHA! What an awesome game, I'll look forward for your favorite Compile games too.
Stasis? I'll be looking further into this one. Seems like a haunting and amazing atmosphere
It's very haunting, I hope you like it if you pick it up
Cool. Tides of numenera looks fascinating, I have to say. Ive played Zuma once or twice on Facebook - didnt know it was a bigger game in its own right. Always enjoyed it. Wow, you haven't changed your intro in atleast 4 years. I like that why change a good thing?. Nice choices in games lets see where this leads.
Wow 100 games? I would struggle to name that many and I think my list would chop and change on any given day :)
I have not played it in slo mo.
Neither have I believe it or not. But VLC would make that pretty easy and the story behind it is somewhat interesting. Sam Neill is scary in this one!
lostmediaarchive.wikia.com/wiki/Event_Horizon_(Unreleased_130_Minute_Cut)
Interesting site Rob! Bit of a shame the original cut isn't available.
I loved zuma. I spent so much time on it toi
pam you rock i loved being in sngs video by the way it was awesome now all i need to see is you pushing up roses and n sng do video together :D
I'd love to do a video with PUR
Wow, Pam. You have great taste in games.
King's Quest is one of my favorite series. 7 was a fun one.
I really love the graphics in 7. But not the singing... I left that part out.
Yea, they could have left the singing out.
Happy to see King's Quest on this list :) Sure there'll be more adventure games coming up...Do you already know what the next 95 will be?
I know what the next 95 will be, though I'm still fussing with the order. There are definitely more adventure games.
Event Horizon is also one of my favorite Sci-Fi/Horror Movies. So Stasis looks like it's right up my alley!
Awesome, yeah, Stasis is really good and creepy.
The Sierra games remind me of one of the first games I ever played: the Black Cauldron on Tandy 1000. Or was it the Commodore-65..?
There's a symmetry to this list.
Tides of Numenera is 100th on the list.
I'm calling it. You'll be putting Planescape Torment on the 1st. And if you do, I think I'll be falling in love. :D
I’ll never tell... until I release the video.
As I expected. Thank you for the content, miss. It's always a pleasure to see quality reviews like this. =)
Stasis looks pretty cool, never heard of it before.
It is! I was pleasantly surprised by it.
your list began in Torment, and ended in Torment
nice list so far pam...
Thanks!
I had King's Quest VII and Torin's Passage.
Have you ever played toonstruck? Great point and click adventure game.
I haven't
Will Air Zonk be on the list I wonder?
I've never played Air Zonk :(
Did you not spoil the ending of the series when you said you wanted symmetry? ;)
I wish I would have loved Torment more than I did.
The new one. The old one does suffer a bit from this issue, but not nearly to the same degree. And for some reason it bothered me less in Bloodlines (despite the end part being rather dire), but that might be because I went in knowing that the end part of Bloodlines would not be very good.
you included Zuma. that's cool
I've played so much of it, I thought it deserved a place.
hey pam, you rock!
Thanks!
have you checked out xcom 2 expansion? im hype for it
Yeah, I've read a bit about it. It looks cool. I also want to do a replay with The Long War mod sometime soon.
Dude! Event horizon is one of my faves! But comparing that game to it might have made me too scared to play it. :P
Is Stasis what I compared to it? (It's been a while). If so, it's not nearly as scary as Event Horizon, just similar in tone.
@@Cannotbetamed1 Yes it was stasis. I may try it but if I get nightmares the that's on you...
MUSHA one of my favourite game
Myst isn't on your top 100 list. Did you enjoy it? I remember when it first came out, it had a lot of detractors even then. Its bare UI with no inventory was unusual at the time, but that didn't really catch on. Many games today are still primarily about inventory management.
I played Myst once when at a parents friends house when I was 11 and didn’t get it at all. Have never wanted to try again.
as MUSHA songs are fantastic
Wow, i thought tides of numenera was just ok. Good to know its beloved by ppl.
Yeah, I loved it.
I think I'll check out Stasis.
Very interested in Stasis is it on Xbox one?
I think it’s just pc
wow, that´s pretty hard to classify... good luck with this project :)
Thanks!
I'm going to have to pick up Torment. That's right in my wheelhouse.
Oh god. Zuma. I put WAAAAAY to much time into Zuma on PC.
I used to play a bunch of the Popcap games on PC, but I completely missed Zuma until the 360.

It's funny because a lot of king's quest fans say number 7 is one of the worst games in the series.
you have Broad Taste
Punny! For me, as a foreigner, she's also abroad...
Also I'm a broad. :P
Fucking loved Event Horizon!
#1: Gun Nac
Gun-Nac is on the list. That's all I'll say.
Do you like Luxor?
I have not played that.
Musha should have been higher IMO
That's what makes it my list, not yours.
Cannot be Tamed how right u are
Zuma is a lot like Luxor
Yeah, it looks very similar.
Mario 3 EASY
King's Quest VII really jumped the shark with those Disney-like graphics. V and VI were better.
Titys seriusly ... titsy =/
you are a girl from my dreams, you are nice and you like old games, especially those for ps1
i recommend you to try pc and ps3 game called the swindle, its very interesting
hey honey...kiss ;)
