I learned this song back in 91. I had forgotten some the the licks, so I came here to relearn them. Excellent video!
The transcription has a little difference than what was published by Guitar for the practicing musician. Just a couple places! Same notes just played on different strings! All together an great explanation video! 🤟🏼 Jam on

Broken up into almost digestible chunks, this marvelous instruction of Joe’s achingly beautiful song, Always....leaves me more hopeful, than ever, that I might master a cover some day, as a upper intermediate-level player.
But the higher skill is to write music this good....THAT, I can’t even imagine doing.

Years I spent trying to figure this song out by ear .. then I had put the guitar down for several years (life) but have picked it up again (should have never put it down) . Most of the parts I had down , but that section (13:30 video) always tripped me up even though it seems like it's easy. Getting it to sound fluid is tough. But I'm getting better every day :D
Thanks for this, because I love this song.

@@gregfredericks351 Hi Greg! I am embarrassed to say this, but I haven't followed through with it enough to learn the whole song. But I am very glad to hear that you have learned it! Fantastic lesson! When I listen closely to the original though, I am fairly sure that the high C# at 15:50 is in fact played as a pinch harmonic at the 6th fret on the G string, especially since Satch is known for consciously choosing his notes when pinching.
Edit: Just watched the music video, you can see he is doing it that way

    1) should be start with left hand tap at b string 11 flet 1st
    2) the 2nd section of last tapping on 2nd flet should b 4 times
    3) the 3rd section of last tapping on 5th flet should b 4 times
