      yeah man my phone has a built in screen reader, and allows me to read everything. I have a youtube channel as well.

    I am Carl Brown's biggest fan and I have always thought he is the best but him being able to play/teach this so well solidifies it for sure!

      Ngl kinda the best way to prepare for a song of a calibur you might not be ready for at the time i did it lol ive been playing since i was 4 so u goood

    I think this song is supposed to be an example of left-hand string damping, while a constant boogie rhythm is being played with the right hand like strumming chords. Yes, Satriani is picking the strings individually, but he is at a different level than you or I - and maybe we just can't see it, but the same constant rhythm is still there in his hands. Anyhow, my 2 cent is that learning this song should start with learning to keep a constant right hand rhythm.

    This guy is a great instructor, I learned this song fairly easily from him. Now I can impress Alexandra Maiolo if I ever meet her :)

    Very nice, finally i got the satch boogie in my fingers, i`ve been playing it wrong a couple of places for a long time, due to my lack of understanding notes, tabs, etc. i must listen, learn and rewind, and do it ten more times usually with a cd, but with this i got satching after watcing one time. So we are spoiled in these you tube times with tabs and learning videos, cool. RRR

    Around the 10:00 are you sweep picking? I've seen guys on RUclips play that part while alternate picking.

      It's played by Joe with alternate picking. Watch his video on how to play it if you don't believe me. It's pretty quick though

    What kind of distortion is he playing with? I don't think I have the same overdrive setting he has? Someone help me?

      I personally use a boss DS1, Joe Satriani also uses one, he also has a pedal called the Satchurator which sounds closer to the original sound.

    do i need a certain guitar or does it work with any because i heard to get certian tones you need certain guitars and i REALLY want to play this

      +Angel Zavala you can use whatever as long as its comfortable for you to play on. Im playing it on a Loomis 7.

      I think satriani uses an Ibanez which is what I'm using with a Floyd rose floating tremolo

      Well, you could have the exact same kind of guitar and still sound different. Not to mention the effects and amp you use. You can play it with any guitar though, no worries. :)
