New car?? I believe CJ has had this car for a really long time prior to his mustang’s. They have talked about his Malibu in many videos. Edit clearly by the old pictures and him saying he’s had it prior to marriage it’s clearly not a new car but it’d be cool to see him get it on the track in the future.
In the 90s I ran a centerline wheel you never see anymore, they were the Centerline Pro Stock wheels. Polished rim satin center with little 1inch holes drilled around the center hub area. I thought they were the bomb back then! Liked em better than convo pros. All my friends had drag stars or centerline drag lites so I tried to be different.

The chrome half a headlight covers caught me by surprise. That was some old school J.C. Whitney stuff there. Or maybe the original Auto Zone when it was just a couple of aisles in the Perry's Drugstores back in the early 80's. Great video. Keep on keeping on!
I built my first hotrod when I was 16 a 81 2 door Malibu I ditched the 3.8 v6 for a 383 stroker with 10:1 flat tops,a lt1 350 cam,2.02 hump backs,a Edelbrock tunnel ram with a 650 quadrajet and headers,hei distributor,built 350 turbo trans,3:73 posi trac and boxed what I could on the chassis and trailing arms with polyurethane bushings.actually it was a new car with new radiator,starter, alternator, exhaust, shocks, brakes,tires rims,a sony cd player with a punch 150 on two punch 15's and a Rockford fosgate 45 watt amp on two three way sony 6x9s.three months later I lost it and hit a culvert and bent the chassis.one of my favorite cars.I replaced it with a 88 5-speed turbo coupe.another cool ride.Im 55 now and have a two year old Buick envision with 15,000 miles and a 18 month old klr 650 with 17,000 miles and a fjr 1300 ive put 40,000 miles on in three years.I miss building my own rides but I'm getting to the age where I'm afraid I'll get half way done and die or something so I don't even start any projects that take more than a week or two.

Sorry couldn't help it, had to go there. I live in Dearborn Mi so I kinda have privilege to put down Ford's. Every other house on the block is where somebody in the family "works at Ford's" and yes people always say Ford with an S on the end. I've known many a Ford employee with a secret GM race program going on in their spare time.
Got the Weld Rodlites on it. Man those wheels were so popular. I had a set on my ext cab 4 cyl 5 speed S-10. Good looking ole Malibu and the wheels help !

I noticed the other day at K&D ole' CJ shaved his head! Is that first time you ever done that? Im 55 and been shaving my head since i was 24, and no it was not by choice, lol. Well it was but there were very few other options, none of which were feasible. Did find out it makes a man look 10 years younger if you previously rocked any kind of comb over or anything that looks like mid summer burn lawn looking bald spots. With a shaved head you can cool yourself instantly by just taking off your hat and run down the road with the window open. A wet rag will instantly drop your body "feel good" temp too. On the negative side these effects are still true in the winter so a stocking cap is a must at all times. The pros outweigh the cons if you are getting thin up there fellers.
Cj glad to see that nothing stands in your way to enjoy a car or 3 , have you decided what you’re going to be fixing rebuilding or racing in the future ? I wasn’t sure if you had said whether your going to find another mustang to put parts in or find something else .
Check the valve springs. They’re about a 99% chance they need to be replaced since they’ve been sitting so much if you didn’t back the rockers off of them and release the tension on them. That will definitely cause the lack of performance.
I love that car! I used to keep a g-body around because they were were essentially free if you played your cards right. Oddly enough, my racecar right now is an SN95 also!lol I don't remember what year it was when I had my '71 Nova and I bought rodlites for it bc I was so damn sick of seeing draglites on every single cars that had one modification or a tube chassis car, didn't matter. Those, pro-stars, the old guys always had centerline auto drags, and at some point convo-pros came out. That was your choices. I finally got some Convo-pros, then they came out with Warriors! Dammit!! Do you remember 15x3.5 draglites were listed in Jeg's for $95.99/ea forEVER! It had to be 20 years you could buy them at that price. I bought a 4-speed 2nd Gen Camaro the other day with draglites on the back, so I was gonna order some skinnies for it & almost had a literal heart attack!! These folks are nuts & inflation is ghey! Sorry for the tangent, just meant to say I love the Malibu!! Is it an '81? Damn son, you got all your money's worth out of that idler arm!!
The old Malibu was sharpe in her day. Love seeing it. Maybe finish up the 95 cobra and do a waffle. I would deff enter that. Doing it like Billy does on Facebook would be killer
It's a plugged saliva gland. I have the same thing going on. It's a useless gland but it's located very close to the carotid artery and some facial nerves. If they cut one of the nerves you will look like you had a stroke. My doctor told me all the in's and out's of leaving it or removing it. If it's not painful leave it and if it keeps getting bigger and causing pain maybe remove it but there could be consequences. Good luck with it.
