- I wanted to get some more seat time in the new car, and my tuner Jeff was going to be at this PDRA event, so we loaded up and headed to Michigan to enter PDRA Pro Boost with Zero Expectations, but with the goal to put the car in the 3.60's. Hey man soapy water you use to wash dishes inside and out and wipe off with a dry cloth..You’ll always have clear visibility. Also works wonders inside the helmet
Other then looking good, don't know how can drive with such dark windows. You did well, this throws out the statement it's only built for no prep, now others can't use that excuse.
Just to put this in perspective. Randy Weatheford, The Legend "King Tutt" Todd Tutterow, and Kye Kelley.... at the same facility together. And some of those guys run NHRA Pro Mod division. You've come a long way from talking smack to Big Chief the first time on T.V. to now. Much Respect.
Some people will not understand what you accomplished! Those are big feats within themselves! PDRA has one of the tightest field of racers and the quickest touring series in the US That is stacked with absolute talent! Your first round match up was a monster, and for you to hole shot Randy is badass. When I seen you matched against CK, I knew y'all were leaving together. And you're doing all of this in 104" car. Jeff has become a great tuner! I've known him since he was a kid racing with his dad in Tulsa. Well done Team Kelley!

I never realized how fast you go in the 8th mile. I'm used to watching the 1/4 mile races hitting 200+.
Yeah they don’t run 1/4 cause that’d be nuts but people do do it.
If the quarter miles racers optimized their car for max performance to the 1/8, they’d be just as fast.
It’s all about managing engine rpm’s to whatever the finish line is.

Your head is on straight, great attitude, and mixed it up with the professional Pro Mod people. The car worked very well for a brand new combination. Ran a 3.69 and way over 200....wow! Props to you for making that happen. Heck, you made the show, and went 2 rounds. That's huge. You are racing carbon fiber stretched, chopped, lighter cars! And replacing one piston and head, nice work of your crew! I would consider it a great effort and job well done. Very gracious for you to move off the neat pavement pit area and onto the grass. My wife and I are flying to Las Vegas September 13th to see you. Won't be any rain there for sure. Ha!

Yea kye is well respected for many reasons. Good to see him get some recognition for the talent he and his team has going. Also opens people's eyes to how talented and fast the NPK class has gotten.
Kye brother thank you for recognizing the fans and then people who give you the life you want. Not enough celebs ever recognize that. No different than our military and how few their really are that keep this country free. Not enough is done for us that gave our lives so people here in the United States can live out their dreams. I have been to 3rd world countries and people here take for granted what they have. So thank you for being humble brother you have my respect!!!!!

Good to see Kye out there grabb'n some seat time in his NEW piece. Kye's a street rac'n legend in his own time. Like most of you I've been watching him since the very early days of 'Street Outlaws',, he was feared AND respected by all the 405 as well as racers from all over the country who were shown on that program. He's not let up and is still a power house in the world of NPK. You go Kye Kelly!,, we're LUV'n what you're doing Son! [edit] I overlooked mentioning Kye's team,, if it weren't for his team doing as good a job as they do Kye likely wouldn't be doing as good as he is. Yes, Kye started from scratch doing everything himself, he built his reputation before he knew th e team he now has - BUT - these guys ARE GOOD!!
Great content and it makes a difference when you show up and race where expectations aren’t realistic of winning but you qualified and made it to 2 nd round, that’s huge on the entire team.

Some folks have racing IQ, some folks don't. Some folks can't cut a light to save their ass. You got that light. I don't see you go late very often, and that's hard to beat in any class. I believe the NPK series is coming to that same track next month, hopefully I'll be able to make it! You gotta try Milan dragway up here sometime, Friday nights is a run what ya brung series @ Milan which you could enter, there's only one guy i know of in a blown 442 cutlass that would be the one for you to beat, he runs 3.70's.
