If you take the centre rubber grommet off the power button, you will expose the plastic button which makes it easier to depress and slide out , and you can see it housed properly when you slide it back in.
Cheers for this mate. Was literally just trying to pull the workings out. But couldn't do it. It's just the vibration mode working on mine now. No sound, but everything seems fine on the board etc.
When you pulled the circuit board did you hold the switch down on the garret pin pointer ? and was you holding the switch down when putting it back together
I have the knock off version of your pinpointer. I'll take mine apart again and double check those connections. Had it working for a bit, but then it started sounding off randomly.
Well I went back over the green board with a jewelers mask and found some corrosion on the backside of the green board. With a little baking soda with water, cleaned it up and now it's working as it should. Although I won't be taking it back in the water. Thanks for the video.

Many thanks for the advice. Mine turned out to water getting into the electronics. Must have just started as board has no signs of corrosion.
