Zmodo Wireless Camera. Connecting to the internet explained

- I recently purchased a Zmodo wireless camera. Within a few days after my purchase Amazon ask me to review the camera and sent me a second one. In this video I explain the way I connected them in a way I hope you will understand. During the initial setup the connecting does not go as fast as we would like so don't give up and give it a little more time that expected.

This is great video. I was having really hard time. I tried to read and follow the instructions that came with the Camera.I could not connect my camera to the wifi. The instructions are horrible. This video told specifically to use ZINK link to connect and that worked for me. Thanks for the video.
This is the second home in which ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
i bought one and was very impressed with it , bought the second one a couple weeks later and they both worked fine for about 2weeks , a couple days ago 2 weeks after setting up and installing the second one , the second one said offline and then the ZMD_SAP network never comes up in the wireless networks so im not too happy right now , i've spend the last 24 hrs trying to figure it out and their customer service agents forget it! Hopefully i can get them to work or i may have to purchase more equipment to strengthen the wifi signal as that may be the reason for it not working as well ,not too happy about that. But i did enjoy your video! :)
I was having the same issue, after hours trying to fix it, I just turned my phone off and on and everything was back to normal 🙃 😊
Did you ever find a solution? I have three cameras. The one inside the house is working. The two outside aren’t. That ZMD_SAP doesn’t appear in my settings. I’m confused. Whaat do I do?
Bought a Zmodo camera. Despite every effort and following connection instructions precisely I never could get it to connect.

let me ask you a question how happy are you with the cameras? The only reason I'm asking you is because I got seven of them and I purchased those camera about four years ago my opinion the cameras work great. But when you're dealing with those people that you have to pay a fee every month they suck the worst customer service ever.
What is your opinion about them?
Excellent video...this was my last stop before throwing this in the garbage. Tech support for the company sucks...they should send you money for clearing this up for everyone!

Make sure you turn on location on your phone! I couldn't get it to work but once I did that it was able to connect

Make sure your location is turned on in your phone , I tried to connect for two days finally worked when I turned on the location .

When connecting, you have to be patient. Part of the time involved has to do with your connection speed. When your green light was flashing, it most likely wasn't done setting up your second camera. Also, your video would be clearer, if you had read all of the instructions before you started telling everyone how to do the setup. That made it more confusing for your followers. If you ever used to connect external devices to anything computer related years ago, you would think these were the smartest devices in the world. Simple process, using the app on your phone, ipad, computer, etc, connect camera to Zmodo website, ZMD_SAP, then in the next step, connect camera to home network. Wait, then voila, connected. How simple is that!!!
By the way, yes you can view your camera on your windows 7 pc, without cost.
At some point it was connecting...and later I kept receiving messages "Unable to join the network "ZMD_SAP". Dismiss. What is wrong there?

I deleted all my cameras then did the QR code instead that did the trick for me . You have point the barcode to the 📷

Can you still see through the phone when you’re in a long distance? Or it just records so you can see it when you’re back home?

the program for zmodo cameras for win 7 is called zviewer.
How did you get to review this product when they stopped that having customers reviewing products over a year ago?
So I recently found out that because your cameras got updated they can't be linked thru zink. They NOW HAVE TO BE ACTIVATED THRU the qr code option!
What if there's no QR code???? I updated that shit and now it detects nothing and it's past the return date
@@djfoolio the qr code should be automatically populated by your phone, and once that is done your supposed to hold your phone up to the camera and once the camera scans the code it should link
Again the "qr code" is created by your phone after following the prompts in the setup installation. The qr code should be the third option when you click on the "+" sign in the top right corner.
These cameras and zmodo service is pretty lousy. Power went off a for almost 18 hours and now all 3 cameras are offline. Can't get them to come back on and tried deleted and reinstalling them and can get ZMD_SAP connection to show up.

They are lousy as HELL. Can't even get the NVR box to turn blue again. Always says that cameras are offline. IDK what to do!

Did you watch the video? There is no Windows interface for these cameras. Phone only.
have you tried using a different app? i like tinycam anyone get it to work on that app?
stay away from the low-level camera , its connected to the camera and from the camera to zmodo and the camera will be offline most of the time
I have 4 of these set up, they are worth the $99 I paid for. One , no, two things I don’t like, the reaction time of movement, it is delayed, the second is the capture time and that is only 9 seconds. Plus the delay between captures to to long.
Zmodo gives you free 12 hour cloud storage. You can review and download any video it takes for 12 hours after it is taken. You can download it to your phone for permanent storage. If you see something suspicious, or want to keep just download it from the App.
Do these work without WiFi?
i got the old model zmodo, the holder or adjuster of the camera is junk one, and on the first 6 months is okey and after 6 months the picture is like a ghost i try to hook up my monitor to see if my monitor is defective, but it wasn't, i think the dvr or the camera was defective, after a year 2 of the camera is ghostly or shadow then now after 2 years most of the picture or video is dark, on your review yes the nite vision is okey if the object is close, but if about 9 to 15 feet you cannot even recognize the face, for me its not recommended to a customers to buy, i did not connect to the internet my zmodo even its capable to internet access, my zmodo is i think 4 to 5 years already but onli 1 camera now is in active

Don't buy any of these cameras. Really hard to setup. They have zero customer service. I'm returning everything. Garbage.

Well, you could if you have mobile internet lol. But you need an internet connection. You'd be better off with a dashcam.

Hookupall yourcameras to your dvr .get them to work on your internal ip at home first.then download a free camera app on your phone an follow the instruction s to get your external ip.it is soooo simple.all these videosjust make it harder to understand.
Why the bathroom?
For a place I could make total dark to show how camera works in darkness.
The service is crap unless you pay the $5 per. month per camera. They go down all the time, and it's a pain in the ass to get them back up. I was using 4 of them, now I am down to two, as they don't handle cold weather well.
And their customer service keeps bankers hours. When you call the call screening computer states they have 24/7 live chat, but they stopped that year's ago, but they refused to take it off their system.

Buenas noches, quisiera saber si conocen la configuración de una cámara Zmodo 720 p que no tiene botón de reset y la intentamos cambiar de conexión wifi y no se deja configurar,le agradezco su soporte.
Hola , yo tenia el mismo problema desde ayer.porque no configuraba la conexion, trate de mil maneras . hasta hoy que pude hacer la configuracion.te explico brevemente. si vas a coneectarlo desde tu celular, primero tienes que prender el GPS de ubicacion. y luego sigue las instrucciones del la aplicacion. parece que tiene que ver con la ubicacion del la cam y del el telefono. a mi me funciono. trata de hacerlo.
Me olvidaba deconecta la cam y vuelve a conectarla. igual con la aplicacion, desinstala y vuelve a instalarla.

Bad experience i had to reconnect this camaras to the new it was so hard to do it the internet don’t reach this camaras more than 12 feet I called tecnical never answer kepp you on hold i will never buy this brand waste of money and time
