    Is there Al pattern making software for a small women's wear boutique business?

    • @patterningcreativehadleydike
      @patterningcreativehadleydike  Месяц назад +1

      Are you looking for a AI software that completely creates a pattern from a picture or rendering? I dont know of any that do that. There are plenty that will enhance the photos and make the mocks up look very realistic how non that I know of to actually make the pattern, that you will still need a pattern maker for. Are you starting a small women wear boutique?

      @@patterningcreativehadleydike Thanks for your response!
      I'm looking for AI pattern-making software that allows us to manually input customer measurements and create patterns based on our designs, resulting in a hardcopy pattern. Can you recommend any software that fits these requirements? If you’re unsure, which software is generally considered good for this purpose?

      I have talked with someone recently that was talking about being able to customize the pattern based on customer measurements but I can remember the name of the company. I will see if I can dig in some notes and find it. I know www.aimirr.com has a interesting try on body scan you should take a look at.

    What is "Copy Front"? I'm trying to see where your mouse is moving to, but it's small and grey. I'm trying to learn how to grade using Illustrator but I think that many people forget that they need to teach each step. Very frustrating when knowledge is assumed.

    • @patterningcreativehadleydike
      @patterningcreativehadleydike  8 месяцев назад

      "Copy Front" refers to the keyboard shortcut Ctrl or Command + F in Illustrator. I understand your frustration, and I apologize for any confusion. This video is just a glimpse into my personal grading process in Illustrator, and it doesn't cover all the necessary steps or details.
      For a comprehensive understanding, I recommend checking out the full module on grading in Illustrator available in my course. It delves deeper into the subject, covering everything from the mathematical aspects to other crucial factors that need consideration. I hope this helps clarify things for you! Let me know if you have any further questions.

      Grading the t-shirt will be very similar. It will come down to the math that you do for each grade size. I will add a t shirt to my list or requests.

      This shirt is different because it only grades out and down. When you are grading a normal basic block, for example, you will also need to be changing the neckline and arms eye. Which part did not work for you?

      So you mentioned the shirt moves only out & down do you mean the chest, waist, center back waist length, and center front back weight?

    You cannot Grade a pattern well on Illustrator !! You need to Grade on the Sewing Line, not the Cut Line and this is way too difiicult with Illustrator because you cannot go in and out.

    • @patterningcreativehadleydike
      @patterningcreativehadleydike  Месяц назад

      Yes that is true you need to grade pattern on the sewing line not on the cut line. This is why I always draft and finalize my sewing patterns with the stitch line and adding a seam allowance is the last thing I do. I believe grading well either by hand or on illustrator or even in a pattern software always comes down to the attention to detail you are providing on each step.
