Sorry, I thought I had updated the pattern! I cut out 2 rectangle patterns that are 37.25 by 3.25. This will include the 5/8 seam allowance. Would you like me to re-email you the pattern with the cape tie included?

I used 4 1/4 yards to make the cape

I use a 5/8 in seam allowance which translates to 1.5875 cm. Hope that helps!

Yes that is true you need to grade pattern on the sewing line not on the cut line. This is why I always draft and finalize my sewing patterns with the stitch line and adding a seam allowance is the last thing I do. I believe grading well either by hand or on illustrator or even in a pattern software always comes down to the attention to detail you are providing on each step.

Are you looking for a AI software that completely creates a pattern from a picture or rendering? I dont know of any that do that. There are plenty that will enhance the photos and make the mocks up look very realistic how non that I know of to actually make the pattern, that you will still need a pattern maker for. Are you starting a small women wear boutique?

I have talked with someone recently that was talking about being able to customize the pattern based on customer measurements but I can remember the name of the company. I will see if I can dig in some notes and find it. I know www.aimirr.com has a interesting try on body scan you should take a look at.

I did a yard-long. You can make it shorter; it all depends on the finished look you want.

Yes I draft in Clo3d all the time and project the patterns. I do export my patterns to PDF and project using a PDF reader or Illustrator or Affinity designer. Do you have a projector currently?

This is very true that there are still patterns that you have to trace over.

I agree that the fabric still has some issues but it has come a very long way from what it was when I started. What are you looking to draft. There are many different ways to draft patterns that dont cling to the body. It comes down to the flat patterning and design analysis.

I dont print anything out. I actually use a projector to trace and cut out the pattern. I have always been interested in the Lutterloh Pattern System but have not yet used it.

The measurements would vary depending on your size, how much gathering you want and how long the desired length it.

You can use any pound fishing line and it will change what the hem looks like. I used 20lbs in the video.

There are a few different things I do with them depending on the project. Sometimes I do cut them off if I am working in a circle and have overlapping threads. Sometimes I will take a neeld and feed the tail back through. And sometimes I will do the full backstitch by flipping my fabric over.

Grading the t-shirt will be very similar. It will come down to the math that you do for each grade size. I will add a t shirt to my list or requests.
