Could've gone either way at the end there
Have to commend the attitude of the Scottish lads as well as their excellent teamwork and handling skills. They never let up and their decision-making was spot on.
Not the players fault this is all upstairs doing. This is the future of Samoan rugby and they not taking is seriously. They management have themselves to blame
What has happened to Samoa? They used to be so competitive.

@@ianrwood21 the board and development of the game in the islands is what has let down the boys today. All cause Tuilepa former prime Minister is still there he clearly has been a toxic influence as a why Samoa is on a massive decline.
Hopefully with Shwalger and Tuilagi in the coaching staff for the top side makes some influence for their players good to see past players trying to do somethin about it. It's gonna be sometime but alot of ex Manu Samoan players are stepping up and saying something like Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu in that plus64 podcast
When you notice the Samoan team didn't have their own shorts!! It might give you an indication of how poorly this team has been prepared by the Samoan rugby authorities and management. Not Scotland's problem though.

This team is 90% Samoan players from Samoa and the standard of schools rugby in Samoa is absolutely abysmal. Mainly because the coaching is terrible.
Am I alone in thinking there's a lot of Doddie Weir in the young Jerry Blyth-Lafferty? Not just in looks, but in his playing style

Remember a former Manu samoa captain complain that officials sold or gave away team uniforms during a world cup.
They are unfortunately. the bros didn't have gear so Scotland gifted them some of there kits.
So sad to see the empty stands. These guys need our support, the highlights show real quality performance and speed of play, so impressive. Well done Scotland.

The fact Samoa u20s beat scotland back in 2014 to this scoreline is a wakeup call for the management at Lakapi Samoa. This is appauling. Well done to the Scotsmen.
Samoa used to use NZ-based kids back then. These are Samoa-based kids

Samoa is probably a decade or two behind tier one nations in both player and coaching standards.
Manuma Samoa (new name for Samoa A), made up of the top local men talent, have been catching a hiding from Japan XV, a team made up of u22 players of Japan.
On all levels of rugby, Samoa are far behind. But I still prefer to use local boys instead of overseas players. We need that experience to raise the level of play back home.

Yes I'm aware of Samoa A, we use to dominate in those games but losing to Japan by a massive score is crazy.
We need proper development from grass roots and high school level. Making sure players understand the importance of their positions whilst also exposure to high level rugby.
This is primary school level compared to Scotland.
Playing a similar rugby that works also having players IQ raised up so they know what to do and what is to be expected.

To everyone who says the future of scottish rugby is dark, scoring 123 points in a game of rugby is still impressive, doesnt matter hiw bad the opposition, they had to keep going and did
The future of scottish rugby is dark, we can't even qualify for the world cup. Just look at the past u20 all blacks team with the barretts, tj perenara, richie mo'unga to name a few, meanwhile in years of u20 scotland all we can produce is rory darge...
@@scottyboyguy fair enough we sucked last year and so are in this tier 2 competition which is dark. But the second half of your comment is very odd and makes no sense at all. Mounga, TJ, and all but one barret are 30 or over???
@scottyboyguy meanwhile players we've had come through, fagerson brothers, good amount of young second rows like Williamson, Samuel, young to take over from ghilchrist. Cummings not old. Back rowers we have so much competition and half of them are like 26. Quite a few young guys for glasgow who have been great this year (Macbeth, ferrie, gordon) . I've not even mentioned Stafford Mcdowell who is amazing, slotted into the scotland team v ireland and didn't put a foot wrong. Meanwhile Kinghorn is off contributing to the best club rugby team in the world. These guys are not old, no where near the end of their career. Stop being so bloody pessimistic, glasgow just won the URC.
@scottyboyguy looking for these highlights I came across scotland v Australia u20s 8 years ago. That scotland team had zander, Jamie Ritchie and Adam hasting and they still did nothing. We're never gonna have a full u20s team of top level future pros, but most year we have 2 or 3 and that's enough depth when we only have 2 clubs

Are we really not good enough to be in the top tier tournament? What exactly was the qualifying process?
Scotland were relegated from the world cup I believe, I seem to remember them being on the end of results similar to this one, although not quite as bad.
@@jamesconnor2499 yeah ireland put 80 points past us i believe. i think it was deserved to get relegated as there was clearly a gulf in class, but was just wondering how often this gets reconsidered?

Can’t take much pride in that win, putting up a cricket score is never cool, but it’s not the players fault, the Samoan management team have let their players down massively, the management team should be ashamed of themselves.

What's up with the Samoan strip ..I feel for the bros under funded having to do everything with zero tullah..if your team is in a good environment where they don't have to worry about the little things they perform well I hope they can get sponsors or financial backing ...where's the Roman reigns when you need them.

@@user-gc8pc3ol6l poor management, u20s samoan players playing club rugby here can dom better. Feel for the boys but the lack of understanding of the game is a clear indicator as well as the management. Disappointing and sad to see
