The future of southern hemisphere Rugby is in safe hands. The rivalry will continue for many more years to come 🇿🇦🤝🇳🇿
A massive improvement on last years set piece for NZ. Typical NZ v SA tight match.
Depth players for Razor for 2027
Imagine these baby blacks with Razor for 2027 !!!
Many things not to like about it. Same dumb things, players with ball in hand celebrating before try is scored. Trying to run the ball out from own line in these conditions. Carrying the ball with one hand. Lucky for a few moments of magic. Winger bombs a try then scores one but doesnt run the ball towards the posts. I.Q levels not good
@@maffrose compared to last year progress has been made in the areas of concern. The forwards.
Not worried about the backs being too flash Harry as NZ has plenty of depth in those areas.
I needed to see a big improvement in the tight forwards and this was a good start against a big pack.
@@maffroseNZ had to run run it from their own try line because of the wind
Tough conditions for all but both teams went all out. The future of the world’s two best teams looks promising. Cheers 🍻 from 🇿🇦
FFS the weather and the wet field ruined what could’ve been a great spectacle
completely agree, all the boys adapted to the conditions really well though
Not to mention how dangerous it is to play in such terrible conditions.
If you think the conditions here were terrible, do a search for the 1975 Water Polo Test at Eden Park.
Or the 1977 Lions/Junior All Blacks game at Athletic Park.
Or any wet-weather game that was ever played before the era of manicured, multi-million-dollar playing fields.
At least, in the game in this video, everyone finished still clean.
Good work lads!
wow i’m first to reply
@@jamesjoyce4356 yeah good work on that
Didn't realise rugby was a watersport
Rugby is played in any weather with one exception, when the visibility is below 50 meters.
Those saffas are monsters man even at school age level haha
Gotta be juicing.
Didn't look like monsters today though because NZ forwards dominated the gainline and breakdown. That No.8 of NZ made huge meters against them as well.
The young All Blacks weren't short on size either mate.
Both Packs were massive.
Remember that the Dutch settled in NZ as well as SA. The Dutch, on average, are among the tallest in Europe. Would stand to reason that both NZ and SA have big lads. Maori's are big as well.
@@daaichommie708 Maori are not big, they are asian descent and little people. Average male height is 5'8. They are little. Dutch though are big boys.
The rivalry that never ends
I'm a strong believer that the under 20's is where players cement a ''winning'' mindset that serves them well throughout their careers.
I think this tournament is undervalued and if it were me as an international coach i'd be requesting pro-rugby clubs feed a handful of U20 prospects professional caps throughout their seasons and then these teams with the absolute best of the best.
Wallabies under 20's could have max jorgensen, a bloke with 2 super rugby seasons and who's been to a literal world cup.
It was the same deal with Jordan Petaia, he'd played in the Rugby world cup at age 18-19 and they never let him go back and play with the under 20's.
Imagine how inspiring it would be for 17-18-19 year olds in the squad to be playing with a world cup international player
Wouldve liked to see more coverage of the south african u20s. Surely they had more ball than what it showed. Dont mind the nz highlights but for what the game was and how it turned out, there was a lot more in it than it seemed. The hit on solomon from the s.a midfielder was tuuff!! Good to see both nations competing at a high level regardless of the conditions. Great footy to watch!
If they're anything like their senior team there was nothing to show for the majority of the game until a tin arse try appears out of nowhere.
@@JaemanEdwards for sure, but there's some young players in that team are regarded the next best thing. Playing in their domestic league and in the United championship. Just like we have an eye out for our local youth becoming the next best winger or forward for our ABs development. I generally do enjoy the south african play, sometimes it's just hard to watch when they play our abs because they know how to eliminate our strengths once their ball is rolling.
@@JaemanEdwards Why punish a team for playing their strengths? They'd be stupid not to.
@JaemanEdwards still sour I see. Don’t worry bud, they are changing the rules now because the AB’s didn’t get their way in the last WC.
Jaeman😪
Appalling conditions. I'm surprised no one drowned.
Love these games in these conditions! Well done both teams!
Rugby Union needed this Comp' for years. Weather is what it is; you play to it. The boys did their best as far as it allowed. Huge Afrikaners per norm', nothing new there. Fair draw👍
Looking at the line up when I saw the amount of coloured guys I was like damn that’s a dangerous team there 😂 got the size and got the pace, a shame the conditions didn’t allow the backs to run wild but that would have been a hard one to defend otherwise.
Keeping the rivalry between these two great nations
Sth Africa played very well considering the Penalty count
That first one was the clearest case of missing first attempt I’ve seen in a while 😂 I guess Australian ref haven’t been updated in a while cause you definitely can’t put hands on the ground anymore 😭
I'd say that this is quite good for the young ABs.
The future looks good for both teams
Nz looking sharp 💪 keep it up boys
10:11 🔥🔥🔥
Massive hit
Bit more go then last years nz team, had to much ball, boks came back well, glad nz didn't stop, gud draw..Argies be tuff
Hard fought game for both sides. Can’t help but feel on dry pitch. Either one could’ve won it. Two different teams evenly matched.
10:10 that 11 just got served with a Pieter Steph du Toit special with extra karoo biltong tjirrr😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
that was a crunching tackle, he got whiplashed straight into the ground!
Aus too fast for the sa. Good win the Aus. Nz to top the comp with good fast running rugby. Hope ‘Sunshine’ coast bring exactly that come the weekend. 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🖤🖤🖤
Last try scorer might have done his kicker a favour!
Agreed but I think he was just happy to catch it
Hardout
Rugby looking good for the future globally
that Stanley Solomon is the next Seevu Reece
I thought I was watching an English match from 20 years ago..wet wet wet. 😅. Nice ball handling despite the conditions.
Great depth players for Razor to win 🏆 2027 !
Asuming, the NH clubs don't come calling.Or the NRL.
@@richardscanlan3419 True.
@@mikescudder4621 a sad fact of modern pro rugby.
Razor to win? Do you know Dr. Rassie Erasmus? I mean test rugby is not Super Rugby Farmers league.
@@jadenphilander8799 Well Rassie did manage a win by *one point* over the ABs in the last game - 15 vs 14 players on the field and a gifted 3 points from a referee error. Obviously a genius.
Full match ?
Despite the dreadful weather, conditions --- >>>>> a good Result for Springbok U 20"s 💪🏉
Australians complaining about the wet pitch in fiji islands when their super rugby team lost, just look at this pitch 😒,good game though abs n saffas
Mosese Bason starting 8 won’t regret it
Everything looks so dramatic with the splashing of water in every play that you'd think Michael Bay directed this game.
NZ should be glad it was an Aussie ref. Junior Boks did well learning early how to manage without the ball bouncing your way.
Clearly biased ref
Bunnings is just around the corner. The could have at least bought 90cm squeegee brooms to get rid of all the water ... or even choose a better stadium.
In conditions like this the match can go either way. Nothing proven here...by both sides as result...
5:15 Number 10 hitting the try scorer with both knees. That should be a red card. RW should start doing something about contact during and after tries.
🔥ALL BLACKS
Depth players for Razor for 2027
That NZ no. 11 is going to be very exciting to watch at senior level. Twinkle toes, hop skip and score!!!
Hmm after his performance i was expecting he'll receive atleast 1 solid tackle. In SA schoolboy rugby, our coaches will buy you a coca cola after the game if you hammer 1 of the oppositions star players.
I came here for the haka, where is it?
Who’s that 11 for NZ?
It was a great match, though both teams had a chance to win it but unfortunately blew it
yes that NZ winger butchered that kick-pass receive.
Astro turf?
The spikes on their boots is scary
Cmon africa
springboks
Looked out of their depth, if I'm honest.
Baby Boks!!! 👍❤️🍺
Baby blacks were better
@@DrissZyani-bu5mo 😂
Spring boks❤
All blacks were better . With Razor coach , all blacks will have great team to win 🏆 2027
pretty average from the refs though
Kicked it out for the draw?
3:48 The miss from out front is why we lost the WC final, NZ needs better kickers, like DAN CARTER the LEGEND
Wet conditions
I'd rather have good runners. And rugby's sissy new rules is why NZ lost the WC final. Don't get it twisted.
different countries have different challenges , NZ lose alot of test quality players to overseas club sides , more than any other country , at any given time they have 2 or 3 test quality teams playing overseas that arent eligible , their depth is nowhere near what it should be .
@@camwells9726 c 700 players overseas.That's out of a pool of c140K registered players.
That's less players than Eng/Fra and SA.And,Ire,who have around the same amount of players as us.
It’s massively IRRESPONSIBLE for them to not be wearing their life jackets in those conditions. Smdh.
Water polo?
2 try’s to 1 NZ better team on the night!
That is not this sport bro don’t like it don’t watch simple as that that is not how scoring works end of strory
Its unfair, the Bokkies had to play the second half in the deep end of the pool.
I think in the dry to power of the would have been too strong for the baby blacks
NZ should've won that easily just hands let them down
Yeah hard terrible hands
Kiwis lucky
Not sure about that NZ created the majority of the scoring chances.
Sa lucky nz missed the final kick
Someone can drown on that pitch.😅
did anyone else notice the score people can't count?
As a South African I'm disappointed with the baby boks just getting the ball off the park at the end when they could have kicked for touch and launched an attack. Negative mindset, I'm pretty sure the baby blacks would not have done that.
You have to understand it’s not as simple as kicking for touch and scoring, they aren’t playing against some team they playing against a team who has the skill to defend. That is why you take the easy points whenever you have the chance because if you don’t and don’t score you’ll lose more ground
@@kagontlemotene8525 Negative attitude. I'll repeat, NZ would not have done it. They would have kicked to touch into the opposition's territory and tried to win the game from there. They have a winning mindset and it's tragic to see our youngsters not having the same confidence.
2024 - and people still use interlace cameras.
AB's..be afraid, be very afraid
Back at yah!
Response to the comment on SA team and government quotas. What's sad about the comment is that we have players of colour that have signed contracts with big French rugby teams, but they not looked as "quotas players" only on South Africa are these deemed not good enough enough due to their skin colour.
It's very sad to read such comments being directed at these players. Whya can't their talents be accepted and their mistakes tolerated on the basis that it's a normal player error as opose to their skin colour.
As a rugby and sports fan, it's shocking. Frencn national rugby team and others have plenty of non white players but they not looked as the same way the South Africans are perceived.😢😢😢
There are definitely quotas in South african sport. Especially at school level. My kids played for provincial where that provincial side could not even beat schools in that province. There are very good black players end even more coming up in the school systems. We will soon have the best teams playing that would represent our demography. I don't have any problems with that but please bro stop the bs
Blame your racist anc regime for 106 laws that discriminate against a minority.......
Yip till sport in SA don't get rid of how many players of colour must be in a team they going to get rid of the quota calling get rid of if no need anymore
Solomon got destroyed 😂
Love a draw
..Experimental new game..? Water-Rugby ..!!
S.A. with the last play wouldn't back themselves to win it. Bit weak really.
Agreed, that was very negative.
Springboks
2 Tries to 1 by the better team.!!!
The Boks always come up against a ref that is not neutral against them even at junior level 😢so sad - the bokkies should have won this one ☝️
So does every other teams,
Typical nz plenty of speed and flair. Sa always a forward game slow down nz ball. Same old rivalry even plays out at u20s level
All blacks should have won the match without wet conditions but they are back. Beautiful generation
The kiwis are used to those conditions, and the fact that it ended in a draw, is a big moral victory for the Baby Boks.
@@john.f8726 you expected the boks to hammer the kiwis lol
@@john.f8726 Why are the Kiwis use to those conditions, I've never seen a game over here played on a surface that wet?
@@john.f8726nobody can be use to these conditions.Looks like a poor drainage system I've never seen a field this wet. They shouldn't have allowed this game to continue it dangerous.
@@zavirca Wet and rainy conditions and wet ball. Apart from some players in the WC, the Baby Boks play mostly in fry conditions.
well done bokkies...so far from home....
crappy pitch. got to do better than that for a game of this calibre
wtf is that field
Worst game of rugby I've ever seen boyz can't even takkel hope to se beter n time
match on such a poor prepared for rain stadium should never take place. third world conditions.
woke is even damaging stadium quality in australia
pathetic they had to play on such a poor field. GG though..
shame on ausiesand world rugby for underwaterpolo. Bokke whould have won by far if running rugby was even possible
NZ will win by 30 points on a dry ground
Don’t know what game you were watching both teams had the opportunity to score the conditions said otherwise. Basically you’re saying if my grandmother had wheels she would be a bicycle.
@@generalmoralhazard No. NZ were obviously the better team. They had way more chances out there. NZ always have a better backline than South Africa no matter what grade. Everyone knows this.
@@JaemanEdwards and I refer back to my comment for my point again.
@@generalmoralhazardhe ain’t wrong this couldve been a one sided match for nz if it was dry ground. If u watched the full game Nz had way more opportunities to try and dominated territory. Baby boks backline was going nowhere. There reserve backline was better than the starting backline imo.
@@User-bk6qf so by this logic, because NZ has a better back line they are the better team? What about the 8 other players on the field? You can always go watch league if you want that. When I last looked rugby was a 15 man game with many facets. Just like in the UFC, Khabib won fights differently to how Anderson Silva won fights. Different styles in rugby adapt differently, it’s what makes union great.
South Africans big for nothing as always
If only South Africans knew how much us kiwis don’t give 2 fucks about union anymore 😂 someone take rugby league to South Africa. Far better spot NRL has been on top for so long
Imagine SA could pick their sides on merit like every other team in the world can.
Sooo what are they picking off right now if its not merit?
Very true, Springboks are half as good as what they would be otherwise. Rest of the world are lucky
@@Baz502 Lol. Bullshit
@@demsoopy1not sure about U20 but at school level you have to have a certain minimum number of non-white players.....imagine telling a school boy you're the best but because you are white you don't make the team. Conversely, imagine you are a black schoolboy and you don't know whether you were picked on merit, that hanging over your head. DEI, what an absolute shite system.
@foxyfoxyyumyum8511 it's true, SA are very sporting, they never pick their best as it wouldn't be a fair contest
Let the cry babies in NZ go on about this, flip they want changes to the game because they can't match the Boks, last I checked the Boks played in the same conditions riiiiiiight
Nz are too tiny and butter fingers
😂 Bigger than last year but yeah butter 🧈 fingers🤲
Physically small team,s compared to northern hemisphere u 20.
France would destroy these team,s😂😂😂😂 fact
Too bad quota politics stopping SA from picking the best team
