    Congratulations on finding the doe. 👍 I recommend using cut-on-contact broadheads, for improved penetration. Single bevels are what I use with my recurve, longbow and compound....and always have had pass-thru shots. 😎

    • @deerfishfilm
      @deerfishfilm  Год назад +1

      I have been looking into some other options on broadheads for the recurve this fall. I know the single bevels penetrate more, but I’ve always had terrible blood trials with that style head. I appreciate the feedback, and thank you for watching!

    Use Lumin nocks and know where it hit and where it went ,the smart way to hunt ,gut shooting works but requires time and not the most humane way to go !/from a traditional hunter using what works best for me (stikshooter)

    • @deerfishfilm
      @deerfishfilm  Год назад

      Well, it certainly wasn’t my intention. But you’re right about the lighted nocks. I use them with my compound. Unfortunately, they do not stay clipped to my sting on the recurve for whatever reason. Thanks for watching!

    I’ve never seen anyone draw a recurve with their fingers in that position.

    • @deerfishfilm
      @deerfishfilm  Год назад +1

      I found that method on RUclips and it seemed to work the best for me. I’ve been experimenting with a more conventional 3 under grip and anchor point for this coming season. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

      @@deerfishfilm I shot recurve for a lot of years, traditional is index on top, second and third finger under, let the pinky hang. That’s why most Damascus gloves only have 3 fingers. Release smooth and don’t pluck the string.
