I remember when PSY announced his comeback, some haters were saying step aside BTS, true legends is coming only to find out not only Suga co-written the song and produced it, he also were featured in the song and mv😅😂. Only legends recognized legends 😁.
Yeah, I like how they told the story in an interview and Psy's evil smile when he succeeded 😂 And I love how Yoongi can't say no to anybody 💜
And he got Suga to perform at his concert. The energy was crazy when suga walked on stage.
What people in the West don't understand is how HUGE Psy is in SK. He is a legend in SK. He hasn't done much music because he owns and has been running his own music agency called P Nation. BTS have always given Psy his credit for showing that you can take a chance in the Western music market, while Psy has said BTS opened the way for Kpop to be looked at and listened to.
I came to say the same thing about how huge Psy is. He is legendary.
The respect they have (Psy and BTS) for each other is amazing. 🫰💜

I was in Korea when this was released. I was on the subway and one thing you don’t do on the subway is talk/be loud, so imagine the restraint I had to endure while watching this video. Suga is my bias and being a foreigner I really had to contain myself 😂

The shot of Psy getting out of the car doing the Gangnam move is a throwback. He’s even wearing his Gangnam Style outfit. When he kills Gangnam Psy, he’s reinventing himself. It’s a clever little nod.

This cowboy Yoongi was just something else. Literally jumping in and dancing his ass off. Looking like a star. Wrecking all the biases that he hadn’t already done🤣. I think he’s always been good at dancing, and yes he’s brilliant at acting as well. This song never fails to bring a smile!

Suga was originally just supposed to produce it. Then it turned into a feature and the next thing he knows he's dancing in the MV 😂. Let me tell you, Jungkook had a field day when this came out. He was doing the dance all the time 😆
PSY’s concert where Suga showed up as a surprise guest during this song is called “Summer Swag.” The crowd went crazy when Suga came out. There’s also a BangtanBomb episode of Suga rehearsing with PSY and his dancers and then showing up at the concert. PSY also showed up at Suga’s recent solo concert, D-Day, in Seoul for one of the performances. They’re good friends.

Suga wrote and produced this, but didn't want to appear in the video,, but got talked into it. He said they laughed the entire time. You can see it in the bar scene and sitting on the car. 😅

0. Do watch Suga's Collab with IU - song name is " Eight".
1. I truly loved watching you go beyond mere reacting n commenting to actually enjoying n how your body just moves to the music.
2. Apart from this having psy, it was made better with our Suga in it. As we ARMYs say, the most active we have seen "our Cat".
3. It truly embodied how one can jump in with both feet to embrace the opening after pandemic n quarantines et al.
4. Suga sent this song to psy as a producer but ended up 1st with writing, bit of production n finally in the video.
5. Along with all of us JK Loved loved this.

It was a surprise how much that Suga was singing and in the video! Delightful to see him land on the ground in the middle. The live is really something, as others have said, the energy was INSANE!

When Psy came out at the D-Day concert to perform That That with Yoongi, the roof blew off the stadium. Psy is known for way more than Gangnam Style in South Korea; he's a huge star in his own right and pulls MASSIVE crowds at his shows. It makes a Taylor Swift concert look like a night at the karaoke bar.
I love this track so much. It’s such perfection. Plus Suga’s fit is amazing. 😂
He was initially selected by the agency to be a composer and producer, and then the next thing he knew, he was singing and dancing! He is an example of overcoming for me!
Psy continued to be huge in Korea after Gangnam Style. He said in 2012 that he would come back in 10 years and here he was, true to his word.
Suga wrote this and gave it to Psy. Psy, very subtley, brought him in to produce it, then feature, then learn the choreography and be in the video. They are absolutely adirable together. There are 2 behind the scenes worth watching, one on Psy's channel and the other on BangtanTV. A definite not-to-be-missed experience is the clip of Psy's concert where Suga made a surprise appearance for the song. The crowd goes wild 💜
I loved this song as soon as I heard it, and the video makes me giggle so much. Suga's love if dancing seemed to re-surface after his shoulder surgery, and it was a joy to watch.
This song in the summer of 2022 was on repeat. There are so many colabs in Kpop I love.
I love this song! There is actually a MV sketch and behind the scenes of this. Yoongi did have fun in filming this music video.
Suga wrote this together with his friend El Capitxn who he frequently collabs with. Then produced it in consultation with PSI. That was supposed to be his total involvement but PSI kept gradually persuading him to get more involved. Suga said when he saw the choreo he killed himself laughing.
Such a fun song! They perform this live together and you have to check it out. SUGA was a surprise appearance, so no one knew he would be there and went CRAZY when he pops out!
BTS has some amazing collabs. As a professed metalhead, I think you would appreciate the song Smoke Sprite by SoYoON featuring RM. Also, JHope’s Chicken Noodle Soup featuring Becky G, Song Request by Lee Sora featuring Suga, Love Wins All by IU featuring V and Snooze by Agust D featuring Woosung from The Rose and Sakamoto Ryuichi.

Thank you! I love this one. There is a behind the scene video out there that’s really funny and a clip of concert footage where Suga surprised the crowd at a Psy concert when he showed up. Suga is a great producer and he contacted Psy about this song. Psy then convinced Suga to do the rap part, then convinced him to appear in the video, then convinced him to dance…it was pretty hilarious
There is a live Psy performance of this song on YT that you definitely need to watch. The crowd is pretty psyched during the performance of this song but when Suga comes on stage (a surprise appearance), the audience goes crazy.
Something you can watch just for fun on your own time is when Yoongi did a surprise performance of this at one of Psy’s shows(at a college I believe). The audience LOST IT and it was so fun!!
Oh, I just thought of another BTS Collab. Crush's *'Rush Hour'* featuring J-hope from a year ago. That's another fun feel-good mv with lots of J-hope.
Crush Hour is great and just like That That the other BTS members like learning the choreo for that too.

Psy is a legend in Korea. He does massive concerts and to dance like that at age 44 is crazy (he's now 46).He also runs a label /entertainment company called PNation.
You might want to see SUGA as an actor but I don't remember him ever expressiing an interest in it.
SUGA is really having fun while dancing. After his surgery, he said that he enjoys dancing. Can you imagine dancing and feeling pain for 7 years?!

About 10 years ago, my husband and I attended YG Family Concert in Singapore and Psy was one of the performers. He was incredibly entertaining: high energy, very funny (be aware, he speaks English quite well), everyone standing and singing along. It was excellent.

Love this song & it instantly puts a smile on my face 😁The comeback wasn't just from the pandemic - Psy hadn't made any music for 5 yrs, having concentrated on founding & running his PNation Company. Yoongi sent him the track thinking it'd be a good fit for him (lots of other commenters have said how Psy inveigled him into being in the vid lol 😄) and it fired Psy up so much to write new music himself, he went on to release a whole new album! I love the tongue-in-cheek tone right from the off & esp the funny interactions between them 😄. Like everyone says, the live concert version is brilliant - the roar from the crowd when Yoongs comes out at his part & their singing along is bonkers ☺. As others have asked, please do a reaction to Yoongi's Snooze with Woosung of The Rose & Ryuichi Sakamoto (sung as a mentoring song to younger groups, offering them the support & advice from an older idol that just wasn't there for BTS when they started) & also his song First Love, about his relationship with the family piano that started his love of music - he said he cried while recording it & there's an emotional live performance from their Wings Tour, where the actual piano is sitting on the stage 🥺. Also the rapline (Namjoon, Yoongi & Hobi (j-hope) ) live performance of Tear from Wembley 2019 - I became a fan 4 weeks after the concert & will forever be gutted that I missed this iconic moment, esp Hobi going off at the end! I only found your channel this morning & have been binge watching the BTS vids, but I saw you'd done one on Stray Kids...have you watched any Ateez yet? For yrs I was just into BTS, as I found a lot of the other boy bands lacked their subtlety & just seemed to do loud, brash songs, but I have friends who are Ateez fans (or Atinys- pronounced like A-teenies - their equiv of ARMY) so I decided to check an MV out & it blew me away - it's for "Halazia" & it's soo cinematic - I don't know any of the group's lore/ ongoing stories within songs yet, but I just thought WOW at the end of it! 🤩 Also if you fancy some old school boy band kpop - the MV for Mirotic by TVXQ from 2008. Lastly, I love your optimistic comment in one of your reactions that if BTS come here on tour (UK) you'll go & see them! PSY is a giant still in Korean music. It’s hard to explain how popular he was and still is.
His concerts last up to five hours. His fans never take their phones out. Instead they hold one hand in the air and jump for the entire show. It’s epic.
He is very much known for his choreography. It’s unique for turning everyday activities into dance moves, like musical theater, but more bombastic and humorous.
This is a collab for the ages.
It is such a catchy funny song and performance.. the live is also amazing and Suga is the superstar he deserves to be🤩💃🥳

This was PSY's comeback after the Gagnam Style madness because although he comes from a very wealthy family (in fact Gangnam is a rich district in Seoul and he laughs about it in his song) aprovechó el dinero que ganó y puso su propia agencia para dar lugar a artistas emergentes que no tenían cabida en la industria musical tradicional surcoreana, entonces le pide a Suga que le produzca una canción, después le pide que escriba la canción y después que participe en el MV!!😂 PSY es un personaje muy querido en la industria.

I don't know why Psy chose the Old West theme either, but it made me think of BTS's Permission to Dance mv. Small dusty Western town. Cloudless blue sky on a sunny day. Fancy rodeo parade wardrobe. SUGA's outfit here looks western, but details make it exotic: leopard print silk shirt, enameled brooches, music note appliques on the pants, earrings, finger rings, other jewelry, and a hat fit for a riverboat gambler! I love the eagle screaming as SUGA makes his entrance. The whole mv definitely made me giddy and happy as you said, starting from that moment PSY steps out of the saloon to bask in the sunlight. 😊
Psy's Gentlemen and Daddy are such ear worms and live in my head rent free all the time.
Yoongi is the host of his own talk show, Suchwita, that you might want to react to. Especially when he interviews other BTS members. Episode 15 with JK is iconic, because Yoongi provided JK with a karaoke machine and JK sang this song. There's also a separate video that's nothing but JK singing karaoke. Both are a lot of fun to watch.

It’s worth looking up PSY’s history which is a little bit unusual should I say? He’s quite a character, after all, PSY is short for Psycho. This is the ultimate feel good song. You can’t help but join in as SUGA found out. He offered a song to PSY which he didn’t think suited him but when he sent him That That he jumped on it first getting SUGA to produce it then sing and dance in it. SUGA actually enjoys dancing now and obviously loved performing this. You can see behind the scenes videos from PSY’s POV and from SUGA’s POV.
