It's so true what people say about BTS helping them heal. Just one song like this can really lift your spirits.
not sure if you know, Ed Sheeran sent this song to BTS, they love it & found it fit their image. It's a song that cheered ARMY/people up during pandemics, and the MV delivered the message so well. The chorus included sign language which is another heartwarming thing.
Many BTS songs can bring out my emotions, and it's amazing how it's not just sad/angry but always the message of courage, hope & self-love.
I honestly can't remember at what point I fell in love with BTS, I think it's a gradual process of listening to songs, finding out the deeper meanings, knowing the individual personality etc.

I am a 54 year old from the US who grew up with 70s folk songs, melting into ABBA & Neil Diamond, finding my teen preferences in the hard rock, heavy metal/hair metal and pretty much staying in that realm with a little bit of 90's "angst" and the occasional pop/country...if you would have told me that in 2018 I would see BTS perform on Good Morning America & dive down a rabbit hole of amazing music primarily in a language I do not understand, I would have laughed in your face. These boys saved me when I hadn't even yet realized I needed saving. They say BTS finds you when you need them most & I 100% believe that to be true in my case. Enjoy your journey & healing!

The part towards the end when you started really grooving is when they were ASL (American sign language). They wanted to speak to everyone.

Yay! This is the first BTS video I ever saw! I'd been in the hospital with covid, home recovering but still sick. It came on youtube by magic, and I was so excited to see the cheerful song and watch people rip off their masks! I watched all the videos I could find that night, and was ARMY by morning. Obviously I'm OT7, but as a Jimin bias I've loved watching you slowly realize your love for his voice! With that and the fact that the first member (our Jin!!) is almost back from the military, I recommend you do Closer Than This by Jimin! He released it shortly after enlisting and it's a love song to ARMY. Both the lyrics and video have such special meaning and I adore that song!

Being able to meet BTS in general was a salvation for me
In the most turbulent time of my life, when my family was falling apart and I was completely lost, BTS's "Life Goes On" was released
I still remember the moment, I was sitting on the couch at my grandmother's house, i opened RUclips and there was a new MV to watch (I had just joined the ARMY), I never really allowed myself to cry until that moment, but I actually cried while they sung to me that life must go on
And to this day, they always say the right things that I need to hear
They gave me their hands to get me out of the pit I was in, and now I will never let go of those hands 💜💜
seeing you so touched by this song made my heart melt because BTS made this song for that special purpose
It was during the pandemic and the boys, just like the fans, were affected by it and they knew how difficult life was and how we were all scared because we couldn’t know if the pandemic would stop soon
So they made this song (the dance is sign language btw) to remind us everything will be alright
This song came on the radio so much my 11 month old daughter at the time would go MAD for it, dancing, singing, screaming! So I looked up who sang it to play it for her more and never looked back😅 love them so much 😂❤
I’m with you dude, I’m a 46yr old wife and mother and I am a new addition to the ARMY. I love these guys. I only discovered them a few months ago and I can’t get enough of them. My Bias, I’m not sure if I have only 1, but I love JHope’s voice. I love them all but he makes me smile whenever I hear him sing.
BTS's music already made me connect with them emotionally but I think what REALLY did it for me was watching/reading about BTS's journey. It gives sooo much context to their songs and messages, and learning about their personal experiences... it just cuts so much deeper. BTS is definitely special in regards to getting deep and personal with ARMY right from the beginning of their career (they did personal vlogs back then) and going against the grain when no other idols dare to. It made me feel connected to them and value their music even more; I don't think there is another artist out there that has helped me grow and learn as a person as much as these boys have.
Jimin voice is so angelic you will never find the tone of his voice in the whole industry it's not just about his hight note but his voice is so unique full of emotions he hit you deep

That's the beauty of BTS you never know what you're gonna get they ace every style and genre 👏 For me I decided to give BTS a chance last year and that's when I fell down the rabbit hole so fast. It wasn't a specific song it was a mixture of both their songs and interviews. I very quickly realized that not only are they super talented but also have very charming, kind, genuine, and funny personalities.
I don't think I have a certain BTS comfort song but some songs that I can think of off the top of my head are Make it right, Magic shop, Still with you, Mikrokosmos, Life goes on, Blue & grey, 2!3!, Snooze, and 4 o'clock.
UK born Aussie here, 67 years old, introduced to BTS by a friend through Dynamite. Yeah, I kinda liked it and then thought I would find that friend more of the their music videos. I then stumbled across their cover of Coldplay's Fix You and that started my love of BTS. I didn't even realise that they were "three rappers and four vocalists" as to me, all 7 sang like absolute angels in that cover. I possibly wouldn't have followed them if I knew about their rap and hip hop roots as they were genres that I didn't follow or enjoy. Boy, did they change my musical tastes!!! I don't think there is one group or solo track that I don't like or appreciate - but I do prefer their Korean songs to be honest. They helped me get through the pandemic as I had been really struggling mentally with the changed world we were living in. Another case of BTS finding you when you need them. Borahae.

Your video make me cry because BTS has such a special place in my heart and all army’s hearts. The way they can just physically bring you joy like that, how seeing them just brings a visceral reaction of happiness is what they are all about. It’s not something you can explain until you experience it, and I love seeing other people experience it. It makes me so happy. Permission to Dance probably isn’t the most popular song but it’s so special because they put it out just to make us smile during the pandemic when it was hard to be happy sometimes. I love it so much. Also, as a Jimin bias..welcome. You are trapped now there is no escaping Jimin. He will live rent free 24/7 in your mind and heart forever. 🥰 I love watching all your videos, keep it up :)

My happy go-to song is boy with love… that is how Jimin captured my heart… the video starts with Jimin in pink pants ❤❤ and I’ve never been the same… that was my first BTS song in 2019

This song was all about *hey - the pandemic sucks so bad BUT we don't need permission to dance...to love, be free, embrace all the good* - that's why this song is so special to so many people. The inclusion of sing language is so wonderful too - the masks being flung off at the end - so uplifting in the symbolism of all of that.
I’d be here all day talking about how much they mean to me. During the worst times of my life, over the past few years, they’ve been my comfort. I love seeing new Army get excited and emotional because it reminds me of when I first met them.😊
The ending is actually them signing. The thumbs up moving across the chest is “enjoy” in KSL (Korean sign language) and the other one of index and middle finger pointed down and wriggling side by side above an open palm is “dance” in ASL (American sign language). Fun fact- V knows KSL 💜💜

This song brought me into the army!! A happy song full of hope for better days. Like, “I hope everything gets better soon.” We are prohibited from so many things, in these times of pandemic (Covid19), but we don't need permission to dance! The choreography is easy and captivating. They used international sign language at the end of the choreography (nana nana nanan):

BTS made a point of showing some professions and groups that were directly affected by the pandemic in the Permission To Dance MV.
The ending dancing with the production team is really cool and shows a real characteristic they have: they are kind and humble towards everyone. Beautiful!!! 💜💜💜
Permission to Dance was the song that brought me into the fandom! I saw Kookie and then I had to know their names... we all know what happens after that! I was led into the Magic Shop and BTS has been a big part of my everyday life since then. They really saved me during COVID and I literally can't imagine my life without them. Thank you for reacting to this song. I completely understand the emotional reaction at the end! 💜
two songs that really mean a lot to me, are Magic Shop live and Zero O'Clock live. A song kinda like PTD is Stay Gold, which is in Japanese and has a MV>

It’s such a kind song. The MV is so inclusive showing those deeply affected by pandemic and lockdowns: children, elderly, disabled, service workers, teachers etc. They use sign language in the choreography for the chorus which caused some deaf folks such excitement to be included in dancing. It’s not a deep song but it’s a comfort we needed when it came out. Positive without being too cheesy. I adore his little song and it’s message.
I can relate. They helped me overcome a really period of hardships in my life by just watching them have fun at Run BTS. They made me laugh, and surpass that period. 💜💜💜
I love that the purple balloon represents BTS, that they’re everywhere and a beacon of love and happiness for ARMY. We can dance anytime, anywhere to their music because they’re a vibe ❤
These mega-galactic artists are so special and the more you get to know them, the more you connect. They are all Army's happy place, and I'm also crying because I miss them so much.
When I'm down or in a bad funk I always turn to the guys and no matter the song they always help me.
There are so many good lyrics in this song for lift you up when you're feeling down... Last years were a little complicated for my mind, and since during the pandemic I find BTS, they are my happinnes medicine to feel better and impulse me for doing better and take care of myself too. Boy with Luv was the first song I heard, it made me smile, I Need You sold me, I couldn't get over the subject matter they chose to put in the video, and Blue and Grey destroyed me, I cry every time

Welcome to ARMY! This song was at the tail end of The Pandie and it really does just hit different. Just a celebartion, something to make us feel happy when the world felt like it was falling apart. I love this song so much.
Bts has been with me for almost 10 years now. They never fail to pick me up when I need it. I’m so happy you can feel the same way about the boys!
They pulled me in when I heard my first song Black Swan. I’d ha 4 strokes over 2 years and was in a VERY dark place. I discovered RM’s friend from GOT7, Jackson Wang, he held me up just enough and then those wonderful 7 men pulled me out of the abyss and lead me to the light. They kept the choreo simple on purpose so most people can easily learn it and dance along. But you can just groove along as the song moves you. It's such a happy song at the end of the pandemic. PSY 's song That That (feat. Suga) was in a similar vein. And the audience at PSY's concert was hyped up af when he performed it.

This song takes us directly to the post-pandemic period, when we could finally take off our masks and hug our loved ones, our friends, again. The whole pandemic situation was extremely difficult for everyone, especially for those who really took care of themselves and made sure everything passed quickly, this MV brings me immense joy, we don't need permission to be happy (we don't need permission to dance, to go out , to kiss, to hug, to socialize), and it really moves me to think about those who couldn't get through this sad phase and perished, they could no longer hug their loves, their friends or even be hugged by them. The pandemic was a war, and we are survivors, I hope that the vast majority who managed to survive, can see the great blessing they received and start to be more empathetic, better, hate less and love more... being happy is what interests and make others happy too 💖💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Another song that always makes me happy is Mikrokosmos. we are all stars and shine, but together, we make up a universe! any performance of it live is amazing!

Fun fact, the dance to this has the Korean sign language as part of the dance to make people feel included. Glad you found them when you need them. It always happens.
BTS has a number of songs that are specifically for ARMY, meant to comfort us and give us strength when we are struggling. This one is less for ARMY and more for people in general. They released it towards the end of the pandemic. My two favorite comfort songs that they made for us are Magic Shop, especially the live version with ARMY, and Zero O'Clock. I don't know if you've seen them but BTS has some mini BTS characters called Tiny Tan. They first appeared in a video called Magic Door, which has the song Mic Drop. Some of the Tiny Tan characters can be difficult to recognize, but their hair and clothes are the same as they were for the Mic Drop video. The second Tiny Tan video is kind of a sequel to the first one and it's an MV for Zero O'Clock. We get adorable and comfort, two for the price of one, in that video. And, again Mic Drop outfits. I highly recommend both videos. Oh, and in case you haven't heard, BTS' anniversary is coming up and JK is dropping another new song for us. It's called Never Let Go. It drops on Friday.
Glad you liked the song and can see how BTS can tackle such a wide range of styles and genres! Personally, I've always had mixed feelings about this song. RM mentioned that after the release of Butter and PTD, he didn't recognize the group anymore. He didn't know who they were. And, as a fan, that's how I felt when this song came out. It felt a little too saccharine for me personally. That doesn't mean it isn't a good song. Or, that people can't love the song. Because many do. It just isn't my favorite, partly because of that confusion RM felt. But, as fans, we all have our favorite songs. And, that's the beauty of BTS. They have something for everyone, and their music has the power to touch their audience.

BTS found me with Black Swan. So the song that really made me want to connect to BTS was We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal. When I heard it and found out what it was really about I remember thinking... I don't know any other artist that connects to their fans the way BTS does. And I wanted to be apart of that. I listen to all kinds of music but I had never wanted to connect to an artist nor have I felt or seen an artist connect to their fans the way BTS does.
Magic Shop has a special place
"Paradise" was the song that had me going down the rabbit hole. It hit me really hard during the pandemic, even as a 30+ yo person, that I didn't need to have it all figured out right now.

This song is my favorite BTS karaoke song. It's the song you can surely sing along to and dance to, like you said... something a mortal like us can dance to LOL. I love genuine reactions.. and we need this type of songs in their discography so that there's songs to every mood we're at.

PTD hits me every time. Best of me as well. They’re happy songs, but they just resonate with me in a way that my emotions really come out. And that’s a good thing for someone like me who bottles things up all the time 😊
