The tension from doing that feels similar to when I wake up grinding my teeth. I try to fall asleep with my tongue to the roof of my mouth so it doesn't happen. How many times should we press the tongue upward? Thank you, as always you are giving a unique perspective to healing 💗
@@stopchasingpain I was asking in the context of the exercise.. so is it that we are supposed to keep the inner neck muscles in that contracted position as illustrated in the exercise or do so many reps a day?Thank you!
I seem to have the opposite problem and find myself pressing my tongue into the roof of my mouth when I’m stressed. I don’t find myself clenching my jaw but it’s super painful and feels very restricted like I have been. It looks like I need to head down the tongue rabbit hole, suggestions on where to start?
That's good you keep the tongue in the right place that's one less possible cause you have to worry about. There are many different reasons for poor posture
I found out I have a tongue tie. It definitely affects my tongue posture. Can this be resolved with exercises or does it have to be corrected medically?
Tongue exercises can INCREASE tension in your neck, it's a fact! Do NOT do these exercises unless you want to take a chance on your health. Go see a PROFESSIONAL.
Keep sending the wisdom brother, thank you.
Will do!
thanks doc!
Welcome!
Excellent
I’ll work on this
All the best

Glad it helped. You are welcome
This is exactly what mewing is by the way.
Yep they teach it too.
@@stopchasingpain Did they come up with this practice Dr? Dr John Mew says he is the inventor of this, hence the name "mewing".
My tongue lives in the good place, still I have chronic neckpain. 😢 poor posture i think. Very hard to correct.
