There’s a big Senegalese community where I live in Madrid, and I’ve always wanted to learn how to make the Thieboudienne that they got at restaurants around here. This is by far the best resource I’ve seen on it, yours looks just like theirs. Thanks so much.
Today I am really learning something new. Who thought of cassava and jollof going together? Anyway, what do I know, I am Ghanaian man who never learned how to cook as we the boys were not encouraged to learn how to cook. They called you foodian if you are a guy and hanged around the kitchen too much. Afia, thanks so much. I can deduce you really went to culinary school on top of your homegrown cooking skills. You are putting Ghana on the map. I subscribe immediately to your channel 👍👏🙏
My prayers have been answered! I've been looking for a vegetarian recipe of my favorite dish! Thank you ❤

This looks so good. I always love recipes with whole vegetables, makes the dish so pretty. Thanks for the recipe
This looks delicious! I love the amount of veggies that goes in it.
Thank you so much for this video 🤎🤎🤎
Wow! This looks so good, and I love the way you brought us through the process!
I love the intro and the way you edited this video! This is so delicious, I don't even like rice but I wanna make this
Well well seems like I'm early, good thing I still have some of the seasoning in my freezer
Loved it! Awsome recipe
Thank you for sharing dear
This looks fabulous! Would it be totally unacceptable to add any kind of beans to it?
i wouldn't say unacceptable but quite unusual. I left instructions for using beans but don't highly recommend it
@@eatwithafia Cool, thanks!
🎉🎉🎉
I think you could experiment with East Asian fermented foods and bean pastes for momone and other substitutions
I personally think the miso and dawa dawa is the best combo. i have also tried korean fermented soybeans and chinese fermented broad beans too :)
@@eatwithafia Amazing I love your creativity!
We call it Jambalaya in Louisiana. Fun fact: Most of us down here came from Senegal/Mali before we were betrayed by the people back there.
I used brown rice and it’s been cooking for 1hr & half and still not done 😫
yeah this is not a recipe for brown rice
Just one pepper? Hmmmm
It’s a very very spicy variety my boyfriend grows
