It's so sad. I used to live there more than 20 years ago. At that time, there was lots of life, and the streets were very busy. Did all the nice people die in the pandemic?
We didn't spend enough time in either city to really form an opinion. Eau Claire seemed to be a lot quieter, although we filmed our video on a Sunday morning, I believe, so the city might have been sleeping late. LaCrosse was much more bustling, and seemed to have more to attract tourists.
This was early on a Sunday morning (Independence Day). By July of 2021, the pandemic didn’t have any effect on the number of people who were out and about.
@@DByers-ci5kr that’s pretty typical for any Sunday morning. Being a holiday, makes it more so, because businesses are closed. Most of our city drives, going back over 6 years now, are the same way.

La Cross is nice but getting from one side to the other sucks. Eau Claire has bypasses so you can get anywhere in town in 15mins or less
@@504RoadTrips I live in Eau Claire and I can assure you that it is usually wayy more active than this. Must have chosen a sleepy day for us 😅
Looks like a ghost town but you filmed this in the middle of the pandemic for some reason. A community is people, not buildings.

@@504RoadTrips Thanks for the clarification but there are still no people, just empty streets.

@@504RoadTrips And once again, you miss the point.
