Thanks for the slam ball series. Mine was lying around in the corner gathering dust. Now I'm going to use it.💪💪💪
I too am a nerd as I change my hand positioning on alternate sets. Thanks for pointing that out! The part of straightening your spine before you stand up is something I must work on as I have been guilty of leaning forward. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the great content! Now, I'm incorporating all this with the equipment that I have namely kettlebells, maces and slam balls. So it's 2 days/week of KB and slam ball with mace later in the day. Couldn't imagine figuring this out for myself without this channel
That is the type of nerd I am too.
Yes please, keep it going...
I don’t have a slam ball but I’ve done similar variations with a “bear hug” 5 gallon bucket filled with rocks and also a 130# atlas stone - great video Mark, I found the cues very helpful, thank you.
I love this squat, as a desk jockey it will really straighten and strengthen my T spine, also shifting bags of rice when out on big shopping trips
Your detailed explanations for technique are 1 of a kind..tnx mate...makes me get real with it instead of halfassin it lol...tnx...no time for wasting effort energy or time ...time we never get back.
I worked with bricklayers years ago as a young guy. We had high density concrete blocks 9 inch x 9 inch by 16 inch weighing about 25kg or more. We called them grunters and for good reason. This is exactly how I lifted and carried them. The other guys carried them at arms length against their groin. I always seemed to get the job done quicker than them lol.
These are excellent! I've been doing this with a 15lb Everlast leather medicine ball, 5 sets of 20 reps👍
Saludos tío wildman me veo todos tus vídeos sos un crack
Good stuff. I like to use a Gable Grip to secure my arms around the ball.
Thanks.
No slam ball--yet. But I do this with a sandbag (bearhug squat) and it is a killer.
In case one doesn't have a slam ball, do you think this movement pattern can be replicated effectively using a power bag/sandbag? I understand that the centre of mass & other attributes will be different, but since I don't have a slam ball, and do have both a bulgarian bag and a sandbag, I thought I'd try it out with those. Seem pretty much the same, although I guess extending the spine in the bottom position would be a bit different (or at least 'feel' different) between the sandbag vs the slam ball.
What are your thoughts on this (the interchangeability)?
Sure.
@@MarkWildman OK, thank you!
Is that a Zero Foxtrot t-shirt I see?🧐👌
Medicine balls have always been the bomb. Like sandbags but different
