My Mum will be 75 on christmas day and honestly seems 20 years younger. She didn't drive, frequently carried heavy shopping bags home, always took the stairs, had an 'on your feet' job and now enjoys good health and mobility walking her little dog and helping others in the community. I hope I can match this!
My 80yo Mum is the same. Still golfing twice a week (next yr she's County President), yoga, involved in Church. As busy now as when she was a Biology Teacher. Much fitter than myself- but I am catching up 😂
I subscribed the moment I got here, Davina. I turned 59 in October and (though in my head I feel 22) I felt 109 due to a stroke in my late 40s after the rapid death of my father (cigar smoker) and my mum (Alzheimer's). Having watched your and Vonda's discussion, though I still feel old and decrepit, with very low mobility, I feel a sort of low rumble of hope! I have no idea why. I find hard to get a night's sleep due to pain but I do feel your video and you two ladies' positivity has motivated me. Thank you, very much. 👍🙂
Start slow like they say on this podcast. Also magnesium Glycinate helped a friend with sleep and pain.Try it out, magnesium is really helpful.Start searching about the small things that might make a huge difference.😉 Don't lose hope
Wonderful podcast Davina! I'm nearly 61, just had loads of blood tests for arthritis, kidneys, all the usual, all back normal, only im not. The bone part of the conversation clicked with me as i have had pain from my neck, middle back, hips and pelvis. Makes alot of sense now, many thanks ❤
This was great , after I watched it I was bringing in bags of logs and thought I’ll load another bag carrying these is great for me ! ( I’m 54 ) . More importantly I wanted to note that as well as raising more informed girls / women I am very proud to have raised a man who has no embarrassment and a lot of genuine care and concern for my journey with menopause and in turn will I know be equipped to be a great support for his partner ❤. So interesting about the skinny era , so true ……. I’ve probably always lived in a calorie deficit. Thanks for another great episode xx
This was amazing and so educational for me! I'm 40 and I'm so happy to get to this age and I feel like im learning and enjoying so much about myself ! Finally!! What an amazing lady and interview, hoping I can get my hubby to watch/listen next. "Doing something for your own health everyday because otherwise nothing else matters" couldn't be more bang on ❤
Awesome! I heard Dr Wright on diary of a CEO and loved what she had to say there too. I will continue to take on board all of her advice so so interesting and motivating. thank you Sally
