These will not be had for less than $500k fully speced
I bet you’re right. That’s what the GT started out. It better have similar performance for that money
You DEFINETLY DESERVE TO GET ONE OF THESE GEMS!! This looks AMAZING 🏎💨😍 GREAT vid!!
Porsche Weissach packs arent cheap. So why would this be cheap?
As a lifelong Ford and Mustang enthusiast, I’m glad to see Ford is becoming more involved in motorsports and building cars like this. But I think they are making mistakes with this car. They just revealed the interior photos and they used too many mustang bin parts that were just re-upholstered. When you look into a mustang that costs 8x more than a GT or 3x more than a GT500 you shouldn’t see such similar interiors. But I think the biggest issue is how far Ford is pushing the envelope on the price. No matter how good this car is it will always be “Just a Mustang” to the haters. The American companies have always lived by the notion that they can get it done for much cheaper than the exotics. It might not be as fancy or flashy, but the performance is there. This car completely throws that out the window. No one that wants to own this car wants the one with no options, they want the DRS, mag wheels, Ti exhaust, carbon edition, etc., this will likely push the car passed 400k and that is in a realm of some very unique and highly desired cars. Many are comparing this to the 2nd gen FGT and expecting the values to explode but I don’t think that will be the case. While they might stay strong, they are in the middle of the exotic car world without the exotic car show stopping looks. The FGT looks more like a spaceship than a car and it is like nothing else on the road. It turns heads and attracts crowds wherever it goes, the GTD will blend in (I owned a 2000 Cobra R and a Viper ACR at the same time and the public reactions were night and day). The inside of a FGT is completely one off and only shares a few buttons with other Ford vehicles. Other than the application process, I don’t think you can really compare the two vehicles and I think the 2nd hand market will reflect that. I fully expect a loaded GTD to pass 400k and at that point it’s not that far behind the MSRP of an early FGT. This is a great car and I hope they surprise a lot of people at the Nürburgring, but it’s got some stiff competition in the performance to value/exclusivity market when these flood bring a trailer in 2 years and everyone is expecting to double their money.
They are only make very few of these cars .
@@Sleepingcoffee979 if history is any indication of the future, they’re going to build more than they plan to. My prediction is 2-3k as the finance department always wins the profitability to rarity fight.
@@EnthusiastsGarage well yeah I'm sure depending how fast the car sells originally but even then this Is definitely going to be there flagship car for the future so 2k or 3k will sell easily
I’m glad I still own my 20 GT 500 Kona blue with 10k shadow black stripes, tech and handling pack. Cf dash insert etc. should have kept your 350R my friend. Please consider keeping your favorite car or two! I love your McLaren. You designed a fantastic spec!
Ford is making Porsche look aFORDable 🤣
If this Mustang gonna cost 400k which i think it will.
Ford execs are gone bananas.
Sure they are marketing it as a Porsche killer. But 400k for a Mustang?! Even if i have 400k in my pocket. I wont be cross shopping a Mustang with a Porsche or any other hypercar in that price bracket.
For that price this mustang better weigh 3000 pounds or less or it’s not worth it, just get a gt500 for a 5th of the price…
Hahahaha.
It's also 1/5th the car.
This would demolish a GT500 In every category
@@rkwjunior2298 for 300k more? Yea I don’t think so… gtd has 800hp, gt500 has 760, that’s only 40hp difference… 300k for 40hp difference yea no….
@milleniallgt9715 Its not about HP.
See you're narrow minded.
Tells me you know nothing about cars.
Under 7 minutes on the Nurburgring takes alot more than HP.
The Porsche GT3rs has 520 hp and will embarrass a GT500 around a track. Lol
It's called engineering. You apparently have no idea what the GTD is under the skin.
Go play with ur match box cars.
You are ignoring everything on the car except horsepower, which means you are slow @@milleniallgt9715
@@milleniallgt9715 have you seen it going around Nurburgring? Ain't no GT500 doing half of that! This is straight up race car!
That Chroma Flame red is gorgeous!
I hope Ford doesn't go too crazy with the price considering its cross town enemy ZR-1 will be revealed soon, and I bet a lower starting price also.
I am concerned these will somehow push up regular Mustang prices. Great video.
Pricewise, this competes directly with McClaren 750S, the Ferrari 296 GTB, and the Porsche GT2 RS. Performance wise, I just can't see the GTD on the same level.
Simple y llanamente es hermoso poderoso y 50 50 repartido el peso extraordinario
I never thought id want a 300k mustang but this in reality is not a mustang is a weapon! Worth every cent!!
Speed Phenom Great Video I think it's awesome that you were right ford release a Carbon Fiber performance pack for the Upcoming S650 GTDs and I think you should definitely get one with that option if you get approved
I did mention those things were probably optional a while back in one of your videos... for 350k one would hope that included those bits.
It’s gonna be crazy Austin! Say hi to the family. Hans from Orlando
Notification Squad
Austin, you rock! Peace
will you get to choose the color/version after you get approval or is that something anyone can do after its official launch?
Looks great except I expected a different interior almost race car like. This interior is a bit pedestrian
you remember the $18,500 because you paid it my man :D
I'm 100% positive that wing is totally functional on the track... But MAN is it ghastly
Wish I could afford it, but it's way over my head
I buy slightly pre owned & would not spend more than 60$k on any car though it looks so cool!
- Just don't get the performance package. No avarage driver would notice the difference. The car is very special enough in the basic "trim".
- This car is crazy fast, just watch it in the Green Hell. Ain't no 992 GT3 getin close to it, just the RS.
For 400k it better be the fastest thing out there otherwise it's not worth it. A Porsche GT3 RS is a better deal at this price level
Man it’s cool, just not sure it’s $300,000 cool….
It's competing against cars that can do the Nurburgring lap in under 7 minutes. That's Elite and expensive territory.
It's not just a GT500
It would be utterly ridiculous for someone to get this as a streetcar
Some people have more $ than brains
I still can’t believe humans are using the word Mustang and digits 300,000-400,000 in the same sentence.
For me the carbon series GT was the least visually pleasing.
It also looks like Ford is falling in love with its own legend hence the ridiculous price points. That being said I still love all my Fords.
No, I cannot get excited over this one. Tried very hard, but it’s just not my kind of car. I just hate the fact that I still see at a 650 in it
Pay $350K+ with options and receive a $70K Dark Horse interior. I'm out even if they give me an allocation.
It’s still just a Mustang Not a GT. Compare the 05-06 GT to todays GT. Different car altogether.
C8 say no more
What?
@@stevecruise6353 Corvette c8
The ‘25 ZR1 will kill this thing and a GT both on the Nordschleife.
But Ford fans will pay half a mil for a turd all week, every day.
So confidence huh Chumpvy boy? Let's hope you don't cry your eyes out if the GTD wipe that plastic toy on the floor
If you say so dude. The 2030 Honda civic will utterly destroy the ZR1, just cause I say so!
