Note: The name of this BNF changed since recording! The title of this video is accurate!
Also, I noticed that the RPM Power Protection in the ESC settings has been turned up from 9x to 11x for this build! I missed that while recording.

Good Review. I note with interest that your camera even in the early assembled shots does not have the quite thick black screen printed white vinyl self sticker across the rear that mine have (on my Mob6 ECO and on two ECO supplied boxed). OK, minimal weight increase, I'm more concerned about the heat dissipation from the board being blocked/restricted. My one on the Mob6 ECO had already warped away at two corners due to the heat, and that heat retention cannot be good for the board, so I have removed it. ALSO mine was speckling pixels all the time. Saw the gummies were crushed it had been tightened down so much, and the FC to VTX wiring was hard in contact with both boards chips, etc. I loosened the screws back to ease that and the speckle has all but disappeared, so watch for that!

Re: A30 and BT2 connectors. As you rightly state BT2 seemingly securely fits into A30. I'm using A30 on the model and BT2 (Dogcom, as the only UK supply of folded cells) on the battery OK, BUT, and its a potential quad killing but, the BT2 at least in Dogcom format has recessed connections on the quad half, but not on the battery half where they are as good as flush with the casing end. The A30 is IMO significantly safer since it has recessed to case end connections on both halfs of a connection so you are a way in before a connection is made. The possibility of a reverse connection relies on the edge of the casing not allowing square into rounded fitting. Seems OK, but with expansion with age, particularly if flexing/stretching to get round the A30 polarity bar, it might relax enough to connect. (Might affect BT2 to BT2, but I don't use that combo. Care needed.

I did! Working on a video of just the Eco right now and weighed the different parts.
The eco vtx is 0.2g heavier but the wiring is 0.2g lighter than the mipi cable. The cameras weigh the same.
The only real weight loss you get with this bundle unfortunately is in the camera mount. The bikeguy camera mount is about 0.2g lighter than any mount I’ve seen for the old bundle. But that’s the only weight loss I’d really expect to see with this one.

@@FPVYeti So there's no weight saving, and worse image quality than the Whoop Lite, so where is the benefit apart from cost? Lower current consumption?
@@BadRavenFPV No mipi cable is what I'm seeing as a big benefit. My mobula8 regularly damages the mipi cable in a crash, I'm sure others have had similar experiences.

Okay so… I didn’t back up my actual BNF from the video lol. And at this point it’s been completely repurposed and reflashed for a UWL build.
However, I DO have an old version of this BNF. It used the same flight controller but the camera was an old version. I do have a backup of that, and that should be completely untouched and unmodified. I’d wager it’s not much, or any different. I uploaded that so you can find it here:

I do not race. I'm using Dogcom 320 foldeds (new), and get 2m to 2m 15s stopping at 3.3v

I noticed that after the fact but I missed it during recording. It was later when I went back and was like “hmm. They did change this!”
I set it back to x9 later. I’m not sure why they had it at 11x but since flight time was my main complaint with this build, the more tame esc settings I think are a better choice.
I didn’t do a flight time comparison but I believe that, in general, that 9x is better for flight times, which is why I changed back to the default 9x, but you might know more than me about that!
If the fc supports 1-2s and the hdzero eco supports 1-3s.. why does the happymodel page say this bnf doesn't support 2s?
That would be the frame and motors. The motors on this BNF are for 1s and the frame only holds a 1s battery. If you used the fc and eco bundle on another build, I think you should be able to use 2s

@@alexandrvishin8411 it’s wild hdzero doesn’t have a manual or guide for all this stuff. Had to looks for hours to figure out the stick movements just to unlock menus
@@shawnispoppin well there is a guide on how to get in the OSD menu out there, but in the menu itself I can't find an option to change ratio. There is an opinion on the internet that Mob6 2024 ECO don't do 16:9 but here on the video it's deffo not 4:3
@@alexandrvishin8411 just saw a review on eco and the cam is fixed. You have to switch the actual cam lens to change from 4:3 on the eco. So there isn’t a setting in the menu. Little relived knowing it’s not messed up tho

Yes sorry! It got delayed due to messing up and not recording dvr. So I had to spend the time redoing this video that I wanted to spend on the eco video! I had to wait a couple days for good weather before I could re-record this dvr as well and I didn’t want to completely disassemble the drone just to have to reassemble to redo this video. So me not recording dvr right the first time actually set both of these videos back by several days!
So that’s my bad. I really messed that one up 😅
I think at this point it will probably be next week that it comes out! The big UWL regional championship is this weekend and I have to get ready for that :/
Eco video is coming though! There’s a lot of interesting things about this new eco camera and I don’t think anybody has really given the full picture yet! I was talking to Carl from HDZero for about an hour just asking tons of questions about how it all works and why he chose to go this way so I’m excited to share that with everyone!
@@FPVYeti I found your video looking for an ECO review. Bummer that most of that was missing and the review largely stopped after the unboxing due to all of the mods because you were focusing on several other videos at the same time. You could tell that reviewing the BnF was not a priority compared to using the parts of other videos. Overall decent video but kind of feel apart for me. I would suggest coming up with a goal for the video and ensuring thats met before doing the next few. Keep it up and I'm interested in the next video.

IMO, a bnf is just the sum of its parts so you really gotta dissect it and see what it’s made of to know if it’s any good!

The video was pushing an hour and a half long so I tried to really cut it down and stay focused on the drone itself
The next video is gonna be more focused on the actual camera and vtx!
@@gadgetmerc I move really fast with this too and am not yet to a point where I can put a lot of time into RUclips.
I took some pictures of the bnf before I modified it but ended up having to clear the space on my phone and deleting those photos without thinking about it so the thumbnail ended up showing a modded picture as well. Might try to see if I can go find some of the pictures in messages and recover something for a better thumbnail.
I really tried to focus on reviewing this as unmodded as possible but I just ended up losing the media to show that entirely unfortunately :/
I think it is pretty incredible out of the box and if I were getting another one brand new, the only thing I’d immediately change is rotating the vtx and then maybe switching the canopy to the BikeGuy mount once the one it comes with gets some stress marks.
The only other thing I really did was swap frames which I don’t recommend as it flew a lot better before I did that!
I’ve got a to do list that’s a mile long and I don’t have a lot of money to put into these parts for review so I try to get the most mileage out of it possible. I think there’s a lot of information I see missing from RUclips so I’m just trying to fill those gaps when I can but I am still pretty new and inexperienced at it!
I also spend the majority of my time working on UWL and managing that. I think I’m probably more suited to help the community and grow it through UWL than I am through RUclips hahaha
But I’ll keep doing my best on these RUclips videos for now when I have time. Hopefully you like the next one more!

Thanks for your video.I don't have much experience with HDZero goggles .I mounted the VTX Eco exactly like the Mobula6 but unfortunately I was unable to see any video images.Is there a specific firmaware for the HDZero Eco kit to update the VTX? If it were possible to get help I would be very graterful. There’s no firmware updates officially out. If you can’t see video, off the top of my head, that seems like a power issue. Make sure the vtx is powered off vbat and that your flight controller is receiving power. Also make sure that the camera power is secure and didn’t come undone. Also make sure that your goggles/vrx are updated. Aside from this, watch some Hdzero setup videos. I don’t think there’s anything in particular you have to do to get video, you should get video just by powering it up. But going through the process doesn’t hurt.
You may need to take it out of pit mode as well
Thank you very much 😊The power for the flight controller is OK, the camera is a Runcam HDzero with out the MIPI cable is like analog wiring , the get the power but with only the red light, the blu light is flashing only one time. I will do my best …. Not successful
@@nicorc9891 might be a good idea to reach out to Hdzero support to see what they know or to check the manual. I’m not sure what the issue would be off the top of my head.

Thank you for your help and your attention. I solved the problem by asking HDZero support for help, they immediately sent me a specific firmware for the Eco Bundle Vtx. Now everything works perfectly, beautiful screen with Betaflight OSD.
