My mouth was watering with the peach galette! My husband of 56 yrs. is a very picky eater and doesn't eat ANY kind of fruit (raw or cooked in any form), so the only kind of pies I make have to be Pumpkin, Lemon or Butterscotch....all smooth fillings that are not fruit based. :( :( If I made it for myself I'd eat the whole thing! Beautiful presentation with Ernie's delish salad too! YUM!
Hi Anna, that salad looks so delicious. After I retired from 31 years working for one of the worlds largest chemical companies I started eating my big meal at lunch and just something light in the evening. Unfortunately it hasn’t seem to help my weight any. I really need to get serious on some weight loss. I just can’t seem to get that motivated even though I need to and I feel miserable with all the extra weight. When you kept saying galette it reminded me of my maiden name. It was pronounced galette but spelled differently.Love in Christ.

I made an apple pie this weekend & some devils food cake cupcakes with fluffy white icing (my 49th birthday was yesterday) it was a great day. Cooked some steaks on the grill & had some salad. Hi Anna, I’ve been on vacation for 3 weeks so I’ve got a lot of your videos to catch up on!☺️ I’ve eyeballed that spoon set at Paula Dean’s (Nashville) and the $$ is crazy but it’s a gorgeous piece! I agree about quality piece you pass down to your kin, I feel that way about all my Mackenzie Childs & Smeg items..I tell my kids you better not sell these items! LOL…The peach galette looked so yummy & I love the simplicity of it.. so did Ernie’s salad.😊

How do I go back and find this..
the dressing, what type was that? curious. just love beets as well. i am drawing a blank on the name of the open faced sort of like your dish you are making with peaches ... it might be something Italian ... not a tart ... looks so yummy good. ( ;

Hi Anna...my daughter had a business meeting in Savannah a few months ago. She stopped in at Paula Deens and brought back a few nice items for me. Yes the are pricey in Savannah. Love your French Pie. Im going to do a request if its ok. I struggle making tortillas. Im a seasoned baker having my own restaurant for many years though now retired. Is there any secrets you can possible show in your next cooking videos? Should i use Masa and was told to try using lard instead of shortening. I try not using animal fats for health reasons. Thanks!❤
