YES! Was waiting for another video on wrecked J! With that spot weld cutter tool though, you want to go ahead of time and drill a small pilot hole for the center piece to ride in. That will eliminate the tools ability to wander about. Also, you want to use slower rpm on the drill and more pressure to cut. Slower speeds with more pressure keep the bit cool and cuts faster.
A way to weld up through holes that you may not be aware of is a tool called a welders spoon. It's a piece of brass on a handle that you put behind the hole in the steel and when you weld the steel it won't stick to the welders spoon. The tool is expensive, but you can also a chunk of aluminum and some vice grips for a lot cheaper.
Hey Dan - cool, now I finally trust you being a XJ enthusiast - and great father ! Love the very useful & authentic tech entertainment - incl. all the successes and blunders !
It's nice to see how many Jeeps you have I really enjoyed watching and learning from your channel hoping I can gain a following and be able to show my projects as well with that do you have any videos on engine removal
That metal is so thin you should be able to cut those welds with a butter knife. Did someone vandalize your jeep by replacing the panels with thinner metal?
Where did you live, I have a Jeep Cherokee Sport 1996, the head gasket burned. The place a Live in apartment the owner wants to stay with out mi permits and a don't want to lose money.
Just casually mentions finding an airbox in the basement... Mrs. Project is a saint.

@@ProjectDanH That works too. A buddy of mine uses an old aluminum lift block he got somewhere.
A piece if flattened copper pipe works pretty good too. It does transfer heat very well though
