Have you been in a car accident and think you sustain a concussion? Did you know that you can present without dizziness or a headache yet still have a concussion?

Was driving, in severe head on motor vehicle collision. Bled from forehead injury. Received 8 donated bags of blood, medical coma... Am going to a D.O. in a month. Can they just write me something for Anxiety? Am just... Have been doing this hospital thing for over 60 days.. therapy.. eye surgeries.. multiple fractures in Arms, leg, ribs, hardware inserts.. probably fracture over eye. Well over 100 x-rays.. Question: Will the D.O. just give me Xanax and let me go home? Not trying to be rude.. just been in ICU 30 days, then in patient rehab, now out patient rehabilitation... Going on month 3.. Thanks

How do these tests show with an individual with a concussion and with a TBI? Is there a way to see a concussion vs a TBI or are they the same when the brain is scaned? Just a dark blob in the brain

Can you get concussion symptoms years later?

Hi Ericka, I have not specifically searched for the literature on this topic BUT not all research can be done on some of these concepts. I will say the reason I went on to study concussions is because of patients having symptoms years later. I would wonder if you had immediate symptoms that maybe you didn't recognize.
