    I highly doubt they made stomp 1-2 not combo and I have a reason for it;
    Capcom when they put on trials or a description of a move (like the command list) they only ever change the input, but not how the move actually functions.
    In this case, stomps can be read underneath zangiefs tutorial about the first two hits connecting and the third hit is for people mashing. Even has his own mannerisms involved in the text. So I doubt it will change.
    But if it does!!!
    Who cares lmfao no one uses stomps anyways except for frame kills

      @@ProjectH1980 Yeah but the issue is you put yourself in a position where the opponent hard reverses the corner if they guess right. Meaty strike can be answered by reversal Perfect Parry, any throw loses the corner to forwards jump, and you also can't shimmy against any lows without hard committing to a still very punishable backdash. Crouch blocking means their crossover jumps also probably own you unless you have extremely fast reactions for air to air.
      That's why you 2 throw. You're still plus enough to walk up SPD them out of pokes or pressure with a DR normal after the corner sideswitch. Jumps actually can be AAed without being in range of yolo lows. This is way better pressure than 4 throw because you're a grappler in a position where it's hard for the opponent to escape corner by just gambling. This is made possible because you're actually using the absurd range of SPD properly to create an infinitely variable and unreactable checkmate situation.
      Gief players autopiloting 4 throw is the biggest mistake everyone had ever made. Literally so many top Giefs have thrown away games just because of PP/forwards jump gambles costing them the corner then they die to being cornered.

      There literally have been games where Zangief was good. Just Capcom usually caves to people whining about the grappler getting anything they actually need.
