@@dragoon3219 People forgot that even Kizuna Ai company failed super hard when they mismanaged her character and the IP so bad. You can only last as long as your talents and management want you to
The business side of vtubing is super interesting. It definitely feels like the wild west, where everyone is trying to get the best contracts and make the most money. Which is totally understandable. Lots of friends made and friends lost. Lots of contracts. Lots of failed management decisions.
Vshojo's nepotism hiring on people who already have a presence never looked good to me. I get it's a business practice, but you can't only do that. It's really not a surprise that this is happening all at once. Where the brandname of other big corpos give vtubers a head start, Vshojo is the opposite, known because of their talents.
Man what a mess 😭 Some of the vibes in these clips are so nasty too... It's very interesting though to see how this 'business' side of the Vtuber world is developing! I wonder what the future holds!
Essentially the problem that VShojo has is that they don't really have a tangible reason for the talents to stay. The talents are the ones who provide Vshojo clout, not the other way around. The IPs are owned by the talents as they made them, not Vshojo, so they have no right to take it. And as you have said, Vshojo is basically a manager that looks like a Vtuber agency as they don't really do anything. They don't even schedule collaborations between the members of the group which has led to things such as the girls not really interacting with each other much, such as Ironmouse and Silvervale not really being friends (at most they're acquaintances) and not contacting each other for 7 months. Really think about this. Minus Zen and Haruka collaborating (they were close friends even before Haruka joined) when was the last time any of the girls have collaborated with each other? Kson and Zen collaborated once for a Gundam stream. Froot and Melody have barely collaborated with any of the other members. The last time they all got together was for Ironmouse's anniversary. Vshojo can still survive if they change their approach. Having big creators as part of their group was indeed a good start for the company but that was essentially their equivalent of the Japanese Bubbly Era. It got them famous and gave them lots of wealth at the time but once it ended (or ends in this case) catastrophe struck. Vshojo can do three things that will let them stay afloat. 1) Recruiting smaller creators that would actually benefit from being part of Vshojo. Vshojo has the problem where they essentially don't have a real reason for why any of their members would stay as they're basically a manager and a middle man to get a Vtuber connections to the other members. At most they put names on the map. But a smaller creator would benefit from these things. Plus with more talents comes more profit and more opportunities while making them look successful. Edit: Saw this from another comment made by •Pudding|0|!• • but it was so insightful I had to put it here. Vshojo labels itself as a talent first company that basically gives up and running Vtubers a head start but the requirement for joining them is that you have to be a pre-established and already successful Vtuber means that they are doing the opposite of what they advertise themselves as. This reinforces point 1 as if they actually do help smaller streamers then they truly will be what they advertise themselves as, therefore making themselves more popular. 2) Creating their own IPs that they actually own One of the biggest things that Vshojo needs to do that other Vtubing agencies do is that they need to make their own Vtubers, and them hire someone else to borrow the IP. Clearly this works as Hololive and Nijisanji use this approach and are practically swimming in the dough. Plus if they own the IP, they can keep the IP and profit from it. And if the talent is allowed to buy the IP when they wish to leave (honestly this would be quite on brand for VShojo) at least they make money back so they get something out of it. 3) Actually have the members of the group do things together VShojo, without sugar coating this as they need to understand if they see this, is a union of creators masquerading as a Vtubing agency, but they're not really doing a good job. As i mentioned previously, none of the members actually do anything with each other unless they're already good enough friends. If they want to increase the power of they're brand, they need to do things that Hololive and Nijisanji have done to make themselves successful. One of these is having the members of the group actually do something together once in a while. Maybe scheduling a collab between two or more of the members once in a while on a frequent enough basis so they get to know each other better or, at least, the group itself is strengthened. Collaborations between creators are some of the most popular videos online and can practically rake in lots of money. Along with this, it can build a stronger sense of community between the fandoms and can cause them to transmigrate between the fanbases leading to higher viewership. Sorry this was so long, I immediately thought of this stuff after seeing the news and a couple of analysis videos.

1. I would agree that was what they should have done, but feel like it's too late for it to be effective.
