Love that Joe reached out. We need more Blues on the channel for sure!
Thumbs up to more blues songs on this channel. Kenny Wayne Shepherd - "Blue On Black" is an excellent track for example. It is similar in some aspects to some of Joe Bonamassa's work, but epic all on its own.
@@SonicImmersion_ What do you think of them reviewing his instrumental "While We Cry"?
Beth Hart and Bonamassa together are a must!!!
I can't agree with you more! Do some Beth and Joe!!!
Yeeees! A change is gonna come or I love you more than you'll know live at the echoplex are hands down the best live performances I've ever seen!
Also Joe Bonamassa with Black Country Communion is also a must listen to
Agree. Unbelievable talent she is. Very popular in my home country the Netherlands
Beth H & Joe B: I'll take care of you. Live at the beacon theater
I'll take care of you would be my suggestion
Y'all love Chris Stapleton, so you need to hear the 'Female' version, Beth Hart! Joe and Beth together should be your next REACTION! 🔥
Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart "I'd rather go blind" Live in Amsterdam is an ABSOLUTE MUST. Love the channel guys.
Sweet baby Jesus… it took Joe B’s team reaching out to you….? Anyway, y’all know I’ve been all over you about Joe. Screw the poll, if you want to experience greatness, listen to Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart live from the Beacon Theater, I’ll take care of you. Please do the video, it’s a must!!!!
Live at the Greek Theater, Joe Bonamassa with his fantastic background singers, and amazing band doing "Going Down" will blow your minds.
I second all the Beth and Joe recommendations. Black Coffee, Strange Fruit, I'll take care of you, etc. Great stuff.
Black Coffee by Humble Pie is a must see.
Joe and Beth Hart doing I'd Rather Go Blind is one of the best blues songs ever recorded. Get the Live in Amsterdam version.
You guys have officially made my heart happy!!! You guys are really getting down to some guitar nerd shit now I love it. Been playing guitar for 25 years and Joe changed the way pentatonics sounded to me.
you MUST listen to joe bonamassa and beth hart- i'll take care of you live..one of the best and heartfull performances EVER..
Listen to this guy. Please be sure to do the video when you do.
Fo sho
Also, Tedeschi Trucks band. Do I look worried, midnight in harlem, etc. they kill it
It's tied with I'd Rather go blind!
@@dustinsmith3235 I assume you’re talking about the live version in Amsterdam? Either way, you can’t go wrong.
You should check out a side project Joe played on called Black Country Communion. It's a little more hard rockin'. Other members of BCC include Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Jason Bonham (son of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham), and Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater). The track I'd pick is "The Great Divide."
Yes! And other great BCC tracks include The Outsider & Afterglow.
My personal favorite is the live version of "Beggarman" from the "Live Over Europe" video.
Vocals on The Circle are also worth a good listen
Good pull.
Black Country Communion is absolutely a killer band. Glen Hughes is a superb singer
If you want more of Joe, I recommend the whole album "The Ballard of John Henry" (or the live album Live From the Royal Albert Hall)
My experience tells me each album since the Royal Albert Hall shows has gotten better than the one before, and now he’s on the top!!!
You guys have to watch Joe Bonamassa and Eric Gales live play "John Henry". Its one of the greatest guitar battles I've ever seen. Eric plays his guitar upside down. So the thinnest string is on the top. Its incredible to see him matching Joe but playing everything upside down. It would blow your guys' mind. I'm telling you. You'll also be able to see what Joe can really do. It's one thing to hear it. It's a whole other thing to see it in action. He goes off.
John Henry is a song they need to do. What a great song!
Been telling these guys for years to check out Eric Gales and Rival Sons. Both are right up their alley.
I saw that video , you're right it's amazing!
THANK YOU! Before I started reading the comments, "John Henry" was one of the first songs to come to mind. I have been an Eric Gales fan(who Joe actually says is the world's greatest blues guitarist) since his first album around 1990. I've seen both of them in concert and they are both amazing! Oh Beautiful live is another great Smokin' Joe song!
Joe at the Royal Albert Hall in London: One of the best concert recordings ever! Period.
Joe Bonamassa's Blues Deluxe! A true blues song and amazing guitar!
Joe is fantastic live and has such a great catalogue to chose from. I would highly recommend checking out his cover of 'Stop'.
Gary Moore any song honestly Another Legend R.I.P
It’s criminal that the only people that know about Gary Moore are either musicians or people with a deep appreciation for music. Gary is known for incredible sustain but could shred with the best out there.
Separate Ways Live in London 1992 would be good
YES I’m happy for y’all getting sponsored for this
I’ll for sure check this out for y’all
I’d love to hear Bonamassa collab with Stapleton. Imagine Stapleton’s voice with this kinda guitar playing 🔥
Don't forget stapletons guitar playing too
@@darrenroot4562 Chris Stapleton could be a great guitar player if he'd put in the same work into guitar as he does his voice. But he's just acceptable.
Dudes!! He’s one of the best. Thanks for this reaction
Thank you for your great reviews.
I’ve had the chance to see Joe three times.
I agree with some of the other comments.
Joe and Beth Hart Live in Amsterdam performing “I’d Rather Go Blind.”
Joe Bonamassa? Are you kidding me? Now you guys are getting close to my area "New Orleans". I've seen him in concert so many times. Thank you for this guys. Have a great day.
I'm so happy y'all got to Joe!!! Amazing talent!
Joe is the most fluid guitarist alive, every guitarist considers him a musical genius
I see what you did there. Nice bait.
@@michaelrains64295 no idea what that means
Hell yes,Bonnomassa, anything from Joe is just right, also check out his project with Jason Bonham, Glen Hughes,Derrick Shernian,Black Country Communion,Outstanding stuff, specifically Song of Yesterday!
The great divide!
Ordinary Son too
Guys, you have GOT to do some King Fish!!! He was also a child prodigy and just KILLS IT!! The two of you will freaking love him!!
Agree with Dorian. Suggest their live version from Amsterdam of "I'd Rather Go Blind", cover of Etta James song. You'll hear some Joe that gave me a deeper appreciation for his skill. Been to 5 of his concerts and have to say he's one of my favorite live blues performers. Now Beth Hart's voice will simply blow your socks off with her range, feel for the song's lyrics that get translated deeply, soulfully, genuinely. Love to see you react to this one.
Joe and Beth “Ill Take Care of You” live at Beacon Theater is a soul stealer.
so much great modern and old school blues waiting for some love looking forward to hearing more
From the same album Time Clocks check out Questions and Answers. Joe Bonamassa
first class all the way!!!! The whole album is AWESOME!!!
Been waiting for this! 👍🏼
thanks for mixing it up. hope you get to see phish at the MGM this weekend. happy b-day, george.
Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful music. 👍😁👍
I really like how you two listen and feel the music!
That solo was basically a stevie ray vaughan solo played by joe bonamassa
I saw him live about 3 years ago , absolutely incredible player!
Joe Bonamassa is hardly new to the scene. Guitar aficionados have known of him for many years. I'm not sure why he's not more "mainstream." Perhaps it's because rock/blues radio is a thing of the past? In any case, he's a phenomenal musician. All the "greats" know Joe. I think that Joe never sought fame. He's in it for the love of music. Period. That may be why he's been "under the radar" so to speak. But, do yourselves a favor George and Ryan, give him a good listen. You'll be pleased. May I suggest you check out "Song of Yesterday" by Black Country Communion? That's Joe's former band. Phenomenal song! Joe is NOT the vocalist on that track though. Just listen to his guitar sing. Talk about emotion. Great video guys! Thanks!
Eric Gales needs to be on your radar.
He does a mind blowing cover of Tea For One by Led Zeppelin
Yup, I was delightfully surprised. I loved it!
Love you two brothers and what you are doing with these reviews. This song is fire and indeed splendid.
Peace & best wishes always!
I absolute love you guys!!! I mistakenly hadn't turned on the notification bell. I rectified that. Thank you Ryan and George🤗.
You really should check out "Sloe Gin", "Blue & Evil", "Midnight Blues (Live at the Beacon Theater)", "Stone Cold (with Jimmy Barnes)" and of course "I'd Rather Go Blind (live in Amsterdam with Beth Hart)". Joe B is AMAZING!
If you're looking for other ones by Joe, try Woke Up Dreaming (get a live version, if you can) and Asking Around For You.
Joe has been singing better and better every album. He’s reaching galactic status.
He also has one of the best bands playing today. Check out hi work with the Australian legend Jimmy Barnes. You want soul and blues? That’s it I guarantee!! Plus Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia Barnes is one of his background singers. She’s fire. She recorded “Riding with the Kings” w/Joe Bonamassa. After you listen to her and her dad, you will look into the GREAT Australian music and musicians. One will lead to the next, and before long you’ll be hooked!
yes and yes
Yes, Woke Up Dreaming from Royal Albert Hall sessions right?
I never get tired of joe and I love/can't believe how much work he puts out every year. I'm tired of legends dying lately, hopefully he lives to be 80 at least
Joe is a great artist but my favorite of his are his collaborations with Beth Hart. 2 blues superstars who complement each other so well. They're magical together!
He is out of this world!!
And, hey, check out the backing singer that Joe has taken on the road this tour: Dannielle DeAndrea. She could sing the chrome off a bumper bar and leave it in a shimmering, molten pool while you shake your head in disbelief. And her partner, Jade McRae, gets up to similar tricks. Both Aussies. Talk about value-adding.
There is only one thing wrong about Joe Bonamassa, which is probably not even his fault..
His shows are crazy expensive making it impossible for my dad and I to go back a second time. Seen him play once (blown away of course).
Sloe Gin is my personal favorite.
He plays here in St Louis tomorrow. I've seen Clapton, SRV and would like to have completed the trifecta, but can't make it to his show.
Yeah his shows are kinda expensive. Not sure if it’s cause he’s independent or what. Wife got me tickets for my b-day a couple years ago but I won’t pay that much again.
@@chrisyates326 Yes, Joe is 100% independent and he takes on all of the risk when touring. He explains everything in a fascinating interview on Cory Wong's podcast.
He has to fund those blues suits
He learned that on the streets
Joe is from Central New York, where I live so I have known about him since the late 80's early 90s. In Syracuse we had an event called Party In The Plaza downtown every Wednesday in the summer and it always had live music. I actually saw Joe when he played it around 13 or 14 years of age and he blew us away! I met him after the show and he signed a dollar bill for me, which I inadvertently used on filling up my gas tank later that night lol. I saw him again in Syracuse about 3 years ago and he is still in peak form.
I saw Joe a couple of years back and it was an awesome show! No opener - he started with an acoustic set that was amazing, then he came out electric and tore the roof off of the joint! If you get a chance, you really need to see him live. I’ll echo others - you need to check out him and Beth Hart. She is amazing and they flow together!
Speaking of BB King, you should check out the song he did with U2. It's pretty great and I don't think you've done either of them on your channel. When Love Comes to Town off of Rattle and Hum.
Dang y’all never upload this early
I ain’t complaining tho
Song of yesterday is phenomenal by Black Country communion Joe Bonamassa's side project!
Got tickets for Joe for November 22. Looking forward to it. Saw him a few years ago at Radio City. What a show and what a guitar player.
You guys need to react to some Joe Satriani, one of the best guitarists ever. "Made of Tears" live from Satriani Live is one of the best live guitar performances ever.
Y'all need to react to "Stop", "Sloe Gin", "Pain and Sorrow", and "New Coat of Paint" by Joe Bonamassa next. That'll get your feet wet with him. He is an EXTREMELY talented and overlooked artist, and my opinion, the greatest guitarist of all time. Definitely do some more reactions to his music. You'll enjoy the epic rabbit hole.
Please, please listen to all the voices clamoring for Joe and Beth... hard to find a better collaboration anywhere
For me Joe Bonamassa’s Sloe Gin is one of the greatest songs ever
Totally agree! The whole Sloe Gin album is incredible. That era has more of an edge and less polished feel to it imo.
Has to be the version from Your De Force: Royal Albert Hall. Listening to that on headphones, drowning out the outside noise, woooooo talk about a gut-wrencher.
Me too. Undeniably one of the best songs ever written
Snarky Puppy - Lingus really is a must to react masterpiece. Your channel can't become complete without it.
I just saw his concert in Indy, Friday night. It was a great show
Blues deluxe and so many roads, two absolute bangers by Joe bonanza
Didn't expect this...Y'all always surprise me!
A fun Joe Bonamassa song is a cover he did with Jimmy Barnes. He covered the Deep Purple song Lazy. It is a really fun cover. It looks like a bunch of friends got together and just rocked out. I promise you it will be fun.
A must is Joe with Jimmy Barnes......"stone cold" or they do a cover of deep purple " Lazy"....you will be blown away....
My Joe Bonamassa jam has always been, and will always be "the ballad of John Henry."
Sloe Gin is one of my favorites of his and also redemption! He is awesome!
Joe is great. And well established. I'd love to see you guys do a reaction to some Kingfish Ingram.
He is great!
Joe is one of the most technically proficient guitarists on the planet! You'll never "not be" impressed watching/hearing him play!
Joe is boss. If you guys liked this, you should check out his earlier stuff as well as his work with Black Country Communion. A great jumping-on point for BCC might be one of Joe's songs called John Henry.
You guys really sparked reaction videos that are everywhere these days. Suggestion Van Halen Jump. Chuck full of 80’s drip
Now I suggest "I Want My Crown" by Eric Gales (Feat. Joe Bonamassa)!
Bonamassa's cover of Jelly Roll is an excellent next choice.
Joe clearly IS a prodigy of the guitar. Not just playing it, he knows the history of guitars & guitarists, plus he has his own collection that is among the finest in the world.
All that being said, this doesn't grab me . Besides his solo , the song was very stock. . Joe has done an awesome job with his shows, the tributes to different guitarists and eras of music. Black Country Communion was a great example of that, too. Great vintage hard rock. Especially when the incredible Glenn Hughes sings! Id cut off a few body parts to able to play like that , for sure....
I dont love this song, but I certainly will give it a few spins.✌🏼
At a live show of Joe Bonamassa on Long Island NY Joe was ripping this great solo on his version of Led Zeppelin's "How Many More Times" and he brought it down real low, the crowd was intently listening, suddenly from across the auditorium some dude yells..."Aye!, Yo!, Joey Bag-O-Donuts!". The whole crowd tried not to laugh but sorta snickered a bit. You could see Joe heard it and was struggling not to laugh along with the audience. True professional he held it together and moved on...still one of the funniest concert moments I have experienced
At some point in every song, Joe will cut loose. The guy is a master.
Dudes such a blues legend
Ballad of John Henry!!!!!!!
THIS GUY SHREDS
Y'all considered checking out Rivers of Nihil? They're a tech-death and progressive metal group that has dropped 2 phenomenal albums in a row. Where Owls Know My Name was released before their most recent album The Work. Owls was considered an album of the year contender by just about everyone when it dropped, and I believe The Work cracks that class, too. They're one of those bands that writes personal songs that can really get your mind wandering, and they put out some crushing riffs and drums.
He also plays guitar in a band called Rock Candy funk party.. and absolute must listen
Mountain Time. Live at The Royal Albert Hall . Slow Gin at Red Rocks. Enough said. Joe is a guitar player. He never even wanted to be a vocalist but, once he was put in that situation he studied and practiced and now is a great vocalist.
Great to see you guys finally get to some blues rock. speaking of blues rock, and speaking of a group you haven't gotten to in a while, decided to copy my post from patreon in hopes if you miss it there maybe you'll see it here.
One group you haven't done in a while is Fleetwood Mac. Maybe it's time. And maybe it's time you do some early Fleetwood Mac. I'm going to request a song that I've suggested before "The Green Manalishi ( With The Two Prong Crown)" This would be Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac. Peter Green was one of the founders of the group. This Fleetwood Mac sounded nothing like what they later sounded like. More Bluesy sound. If you've heard early Mac before than you know what I mean, If you guys haven't than that's one of the reasons I'd really love for you guys to react to this song, partly for us the patrons and also for yourselves when we see the look on your faces about 2 or 3 seconds after the song starts. This is a reaction channel and I can 110 percent guarantee you will have a reaction to this song. I'm not arrogant enough to say it will be on your playlist, I hope it will be, but for the reaction it will illicit from you alone, even if it's just shit's and giggles will be worth it. Also if it helps I think you may have already heard a Peter Green song, indirectly and unawares. "Black Magic Woman" made famous by Santana was originally a Peter Green Fleetwood Mac Song. If it further helps from wikipedia on Peter Greens Influence-Many rock guitarists have cited Green as an influence, including Gary Moore,[52] Joe Perry of Aerosmith,[53] Andy Powell of Wishbone Ash,[54] and more recently, Mark Knopfler,[55] Noel Gallagher, and Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood.[56] Green was The Black Crowes' Rich Robinson's pick in Guitar World's "30 on 30: The Greatest Guitarists Picked by the Greatest Guitarists" (2010). In the same article Robinson cites Jimmy Page, with whom the Crowes toured: "he told us so many Peter Green stories. It was clear that Jimmy loves the man's talent".[7] Green's songs have been recorded by artists such as Santana, Aerosmith, Status Quo,[57] Black Crowes, Midge Ure,[58] Tom Petty,[59] Judas Priest[60] and Gary Moore, who recorded Blues for Greeny, an album of Green compositions..
I requested a tribute reaction for Peter Green last year after he died, I've continued to request off and on ever since. I'm not asking for it right now. I know a lot of people are looking forward to the Metal marathon based upon decades, I'm looking forward to that as well even as a non metal head. But maybe, perhaps, as a change of pace in between metal decades you could possibly slip this one in. As always George and Ryan Thanks for all you do and thanks for at least considering my request.
I've never really had what it took to nail the guitar (yet), I've always been more of an aspiring vocalist, but Bonamassa inspires me to be among the greatest air guitarists in the world, at the very least ; )
Is Dad was a guitarist when Joe was 4 years old he asked for a guitar for his birthday rapidly progressed his Dad's guitar playing ability so they focused on his career instead and because Joe bonamassa is a G.O.A.T.🎸👏✌️❤️🤘
Maybe do a review or ten of the relatively unknown instrumental guitarist lol JOE SATRIANI. Oh few important facts. Joe “Satch” taught guitar to Steve Vai, Kirk Hammet from Metallica and a host of other famous guitarists. He’s the most successful solo guitarist of all.
The blues is like putting on that favorite pair of jeans that fit great and are soft and comfy even as they’re on the ragged edge of falling apart from being washed a gazillion times. Don’t matter, you love them anyway. ;-p
Please play some, Nick Cave. Oh My Lord, would be a real gem. Cheers, men. 🤘
Stagger Lee 😁😁😁
OH Children
@@patrickloffelmacher8587 Oh yeah, beast of a song.
Speaking of the blues. Hope you've seen the documentary Muscle Shoals which is now free on RUclips. Fascinating and Inspiring. From Aretha to Clarence to Mick Jagger to etc.
Joe's a badarse... 100% bluesman, merged with some Eric Johnson, a little jazz fusion stuff and a great deal of his own thing... very talented guy and great person. Check out his work with Black Country Communion, The Great Divide.
I just saw him in Nashville....he is an amazing artist.
Now you have to listen to Joe & Jimmy Barnes...2 very different songs "Stone Cold" & a cover of Deep Purple's "Lazy"...both so good for different reasons, ""Stone Cold" is all about soul & "Lazy" is rock & the band kills it.
Jimmy's daughter Mahalia sings back up in Joe's band.
Wow, now you guys are tackling MY guy! Listen to "Sloe Gin" as well as his cover of "Had To Cry Today" (originally done by Blind Faith).
I think it’s awesome that they reached out to y’all. Here’s hoping that more artists see the value in having guys like you introduce new music to their followers who may not hear about it otherwise.
Add my vote for more blues on your channel. Check out Joe’s acoustic concert at the Vienna Opera House. I love every song they did that night, but the cover of Robert Johnson’s Stones in my Passway from 1937 is killer.

Just 'Cos You Can Don't Mean You Should is another Bonamassa track you fellas should check out! His keyboard player Reese Wynans has an amazing solo in that song! Joe is a really great representative of contemporary blues and rock in general, and his new album is fantastic.
If heartaches were nickels!! If you wanna hear Joe’s chops that’s the one !
Beth heart am I the one live at Paradise. Best female vocalist I have ever heard!
You like Blues, so you NEED to check out Alvin Lee’s “The Bluest Blues” played on his guitar “Big Red” from DEEP down in his soul! He was one of the few great guitarists that could make the guitar sing! R.I.P. Alvin Lee ❤️🎸🌎
It's the tide goin out for the wave of blues solo
Joe Bonamassa NEVER disappoints
Thanks for this one gentlemen.
I strongly recommend Beth Hart + Joe doing, "I'd rather go blind".
Let's go back in time when Joe started out. Check out Blues Deluxe live at Rockpalast.
