Very interesting idea for a padded, waterproof camera bag. I've recently used my regular camera bag inside the Aire Frodo T-zip dry bag (that I won in a contest). It's about the same price, but isn't padded. The ability to have my camera in a soft, waterproof, padded bag that's easy to get in and out of is really helpful.
Hey Zach, I have the old Backflip 24 and absolutely love it. It straps in to the boat easily and keeps stuff cold for several days. I’d buy it again for sure.
Bought the biggest one of these for paddle rafting. Running a pair of cam straps through each daisy chain on one side and then around a thwart keeps it in there very solidly. Like you said, functions great for storage and cooler alike. It’s probably worth mentioning: I’ve used RUclips since it was a thing and I’ve never subscribed to a channel until Gear Garage. Transitioning from kayaking to rafting after having kids has been a lot easier with your guidance. It’s easy to tell that you know what you’re talking about and perhaps of equal importance you know how to convey your knowledge concisely. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
@@GearGarageTV I have been looking for a cooler that I can carry in the summertime on my golf cart. I’ve worn out several “cheaper ones”. The 8 is still too large for the “new baskets” on the golf carts. But I can hang it from the arm rest. Think I’ll try one. I’ll give you some feedback. It’s time for putting warm items in to keep the warm. 💥
Hi Zach. Great review! I did a little searching, and decided on the Engel 30. It got really good reviews on keeping ice cold. It seems pretty solid! But I wonder can you review the newer Rtic lightweight coolers? The 52 quart has impressive specs, at a significant weight savings.
Spent $250 on this yeti. The zipper immediately started fraying within 90 days. Yeti‘s response pay for shipping to send it in and wait for 2 to 3 weeks to have a replacement sent out. I didn’t spend $250 on a lunchbox so I could go without it for 2 to 3 weeks and then pay this Ship your defective product back to you. In my opinion, don’t buy it. It’s not worth it. The retail store should take care of this for you with yeti. Why does Jenni put the burden on the customer for warranty items?

Thank you so much for the nice and helpful comment
I use it for work everyday. It’s fantastic!
Great video. I'm of the mindset that I like to buy something once.
The 12 is great for ray lunch box
Was the one you reviewed a 8 or a 12 ?
12
12 or 8? Which is better?
It depends on how much room you need

I have the Hopper 8 and it’s the perfect size for my Kayak. Not only have I used it as a cooler I’ve stored my camera in it. I don’t use the strap 😉
Awesome!

Would be better if it had a couple zipper pockets on the outside.
ripoff, zipper broke
Just because yours had an issue that may have been your fault doesn’t make it a ripoff.
You do realize it’s life time warranty.. will send a new one no charge ha
Way too small to be useful for anything.
It's not a bad personal cooler for a BYOB type tailgate, watching the game at a buddy's etc. It's a definite no no if you prefer bottle beer.
I know people who use it as a lunch box at work
It fits in my backpack, and i can have a cold drink anywhere at work.
I left when you got to $200, for a freakin cooler.
It's a Yeti product, what did you honestly expect?
