I used my Husky lunch box every day for about 7 years before my wife said it smelled like "outside dog" and should remain outside. I still kept it in service for another 3 years storing non-food items, and in that time, I went through 4 other cheap boxes. Last year I got a new Husky and it's still made with the same quality as the one I bought a decade ago. Most cheap boxes lose their shape quickly, offer little insulation, but the biggest offenders are the zippers. At around $30, the Husky is an outstanding value. Nice to see your tests align with my experiences. Thanks for the vid!

I still vividly remember the look of helplessness and disappointment on my mom's face as it was one of the few nice things she saved up and bought just for me, and it absolutely crippled me. . . I spent the next 3 decades making damn sure I controlled my anger so I never had to see her like that again. It's been ran over by forklifts, fell off oil well platforms, kicked around, dropped on the concrete, used as a step stool for 330 lb guys, etc. It is the toughest lunch cooler ever. It will also hold ice for 14 hours in direct sun light in 110 degrees weather. It also doesn't leak, no fabric to tear, and impossible to crush your food. I'm really surprised it didn't get tested. I guarantee you it would have beat all of these here.

Granted it is only a plastic lock hasp, but it will deter an opportunistic theif. It is also rated to sit/stand on the lid up to 300 lbs. With a solid steel rod in the hinge, and the nylon sling webbing runs all the way underneath the box to capture the load, rather than relying on a plastic attachment point.

The only downside is its very heavy and bulky but for the short walk to throw it in the back of a vehicle it's not to bad, especially knowing it can take the abuse. The top compartment on the bigger one has a slide out tray which is great for storing glasses cases and other stuff. Look to see if there are any deals on, got a bonus toolbag via redemption when I got mine which helps justify the cost

I worked in the West Tx oilfield for many years. The best lunch box is the Stanley 7QT cooler. It has more insulation than any other cooler, it could keep ice in 110 degree heat for the entire day, it's reasonably priced at $50. It doesn't leak even if flipped over.
I backed into mine with a diesel powered off-road forklift and smashed it between the forklift and a bulldozer and it STILL didn't break it. It just cut the plastic up a little. It literally stopped the forklift from smashing into the bulldozer. They are as tough as you can get.
By the time you put a couple 32 oz drinks in it, a sandwich or two, and a ice pack or two, its about just the perfect size.
Trust me I've owned every lunch box known to man and this one checks all the boxes. It will last you a lifetime as well. Literally, they have a life time warranty.
