Coming from someone who's terrified of the ocean this was the most terrifying shark movie iv watched. I was clutchin that pillow for days. It nailed every one of my fears 😂
It's also grossly unrealistic on nearly every point. At 47m ~= 140ft, that air tank is only gonna last like five minutes, ten tops. I didn't see them clear their ears once on the way down so the whole movie should've been silent after that. And sharks tend to not eat humans, the big metal thing on your back isn't tasty and the bubbles are freaky. Sharks are more like dogs than vicious meat machines and it's movies like this that make them look bad. Barracudas might be an issue for them, but only cause it looked like one of them had a shiny earring in and they like to nip at those.
Oh my gosh! Did you all know that all three of the actresses (Claire, Cariba, and Phoebe) who played the 3 original H2O mermaids have all starred in shark movies?

Yup, fully agree on the cliff part and her actually swimming out of it. The most ridiculous part of the whole movie for me was the fact that she managed to find her way back to the cage after losing her sense of direction in total deep-sea darkness and stranded on just a tiny rock. And their oxygen bars lasting forever, haha.
This movie made me so fucking pissed. Why you gotta play me like that? I was actually so happy and excited but nope her hand is bleeding out floating blood.

RUclips BANDIT ikr! It’s the most realistic shark movie yet! I couldn’t stop cringing! And the ending did shock me, especially if that’s what hallucinations can look like!
Chill Pillo well obviously thats not what it would be like in real life but then again have you ever hallucinate and or been in that situation? probably not still awesome movie even though emma didn't turn into a mermaid and freeze the sharks haha
RUclips BANDIT No I haven’t hallucinated but the definition says “experience a seemingly real perception of something not actually present, typically as a result of a mental disorder or of taking drugs.” So actually it can look like that.
RUclips BANDIT So it took you 3 days to come up with that comeback? Fucking hell, are you an American by any chance? Your mother should stick to getting her shit pushed, especially if you're the result of pregnancy.
S K im not sure if it still is but it used to be on sky. You can rent it on youtube for like £2.99 as well. 47 metres down uncaged is on netflix (in the uk anyway but u cld use a vpn to watch that if u wanted)
I also saw the film when it was released as "In The Deep", I personally liked it a lot, as many people pointed out, I thought it was superior to The Shallows. The relationship between the two sisters is interesting, the movie is suspenseful, and I think a lot of people are going to talk about that ending. Very good decision by Dimension to pick up the film from the Weinstein Brothers for a theatrical release. I gave it a 7.5/10.
Diving with sharks is super safe. This movie and all shark movies are really not informing you well about sharks. They only attack humans because they think it is a turtle or seal. From the hundreds of different types of sharks are only a few dangerous.
Jesse Dijkstra not to mention female surfers or male surfers tend to surf beyond a safe limit. Plus swimming or surfing on your period attracts sharks. And swimming in ocean and having a cut attracts sharks.
I saw it and i have to say that this is one of the best thriller/survival movies i've ever seen in a long time the beginning may seem bad but as soon as they go inside the water ur really gonna like it
@@efraimvd9657 Yes. The people on the boat (if you remember) said that changing new air tanks can tend to cause hallucinations. She hallucinated that her sister and her were saved, but it turned out her sister was actually dead, and her hand still is stuck in the cage. However, she is saved, but her sister didn't make it out alive.
I watched this movie online today and it was freaking awesome and I was stunned by it though I watched it online when it gets released I will definitely go and see it in theaters
I have been cage diving with great white sharks (Guadalupe island) and I can tell you this trailer has a slew of false info. First off, this guy's boat would've been spotted and pulled without permit. There are only several reliable spots to cage dive with great whites and they are heavily protected. Guadalupe island for example only hands out 11 licenses each season. The odds of seeing a great white randomly in an unreliable area, even with significant chum, are extremely small. Companies hang out in same areas too so a random boat would be spotted so fast it'd be silly. Second, when u cage dive real life each cage is double steel lined (each can hold a bus by itself), then u have a master diver with you (only time do not require one is if you are in a surface cage), then there are additional air tanks as well in case of emergency. They are setup in such a way that if both lines somehow did snap u just turn a valve and they fill up two containers which floats cage to surface. Finally, great whites are 100% not attracted to us, they could care less. These two girls (even with boat most likely long gone) could easily swim to surface and head inland. Great whites constantly move around. PS - One air tank would not have lasted that long till night time, not even close, and their ears would have been totally screwed up from a fall that quick bc of pressure change. Ok that's all for now. :)
That would've made a great movie wouldn't it. Boat inspectors spots boat without licence, prevents it from going out, roll credits. It's a movie, it's meant to be entertaining, you want real life, go watch a documentary....
Raina Mermaid Well Sharks are demons of the ocean. And if Great Whites are hungry enough, they can and will eat humans. They just prefer not to because the taste of human flesh vs fish is so different.
Playstation Elation they usually attack people based on confusion or a feeding frenzy. They're just playing with the idea of a rogue shark again as always. Not a horrid idea but an overused one.
I was yelling at the screen before they ever got in the water: you don’t know how to scuba dive, you’re on vacation in a strange place, and you trust total strangers to keep you safe in a shark cage? Seriously?!
This is NOT just another shark trouble movie.. superb direction...loved it.... ending is nice and top of it 'Down in the woods' soundtrack give chills!
Don't know why but the kate's death at end was so much emotional moment remembering that she promised lisa to make her breakfast next day and the music effect at last added more emotions. omg saddest death may god don't give this death to anyone even the worst enemy

John Cornell wait tell me does it end with them shooting the shark with a harpoon gun and some type of explosion the black guy some how lives?
RUclips BANDIT ikr! It’s the most realistic shark movie yet! I couldn’t stop cringing! And the ending did shock me, especially if that’s what hallucinations can look like!
Chill Pillo well obviously thats not what it would be like in real life but then again have you ever hallucinate and or been in that situation? probably not still awesome movie even though emma didn't turn into a mermaid and freeze the sharks haha
RUclips BANDIT No I haven’t hallucinated but the definition says “experience a seemingly real perception of something not actually present, typically as a result of a mental disorder or of taking drugs.” So actually it can look like that.
this movie was amazing, a must watch
Kevin and Lill big fan
RUclips BANDIT Your mother gave birth to an imbecile if you thought this movie was amazing.
Gary Barnfield or maybe your mother gave birth to a rotten tomato😂
RUclips BANDIT Great comeback bro.
RUclips BANDIT So it took you 3 days to come up with that comeback? Fucking hell, are you an American by any chance? Your mother should stick to getting her shit pushed, especially if you're the result of pregnancy.
i love the plot twist. caught me by surprise
I hate it when she dreamed or something on getting saved with Kate And she took sharks eyes out
I watched this yesterday. I will never EVER go cage diving 😂 such a good movie tho🍿 so tense 😂
Bad movie idiot
How can I watch this??
S K im not sure if it still is but it used to be on sky. You can rent it on youtube for like £2.99 as well. 47 metres down uncaged is on netflix (in the uk anyway but u cld use a vpn to watch that if u wanted)
Molly Savage Awhh okay thank you
Shark: Whoa, someone locked those poor humans in a cage, and dropped them into the ocean. DON'T WORRY GIRLS! I'LL GET YOU OUT!
Voitan ...Oh and then the shark kills (Claire Holt)????
Nice meme
I also saw the film when it was released as "In The Deep", I personally liked it a lot, as many people pointed out, I thought it was superior to The Shallows. The relationship between the two sisters is interesting, the movie is suspenseful, and I think a lot of people are going to talk about that ending. Very good decision by Dimension to pick up the film from the Weinstein Brothers for a theatrical release. I gave it a 7.5/10.
At least now we know that a shark can kill an original vampire rip rebekah
It was a great movie! it definitely tricked me at the end! and to yall thinking the horror scene is like 5 min go watch this movie and the shallows
I can imagine Mandy singing to the shark " I Wanna Be With You"...lol
First of all I loved the movie, I think it was psychologically mind boggling but realistically, who would trust that boat........
Geez, why do they always release man killing shark movies right BEFORE summer starts?
Jared S. I consider June part of summer
Because between June and July that’s shark week
THIS MOVIE IS SOO SAD BUT AWSOME AT THE SAME TIME I'VE SEEN THIS IN THETORES
Caffeinatedemo my nigga I Know you ain't trying to spell "theater"

this is why i'm never going to do it... it is my deepest fear...
yea
why not just admire sharks from a safe distance
like your living room
omg you have 47 likes
Nicole cutie I'm 71 likes. (:
Diving with sharks is super safe. This movie and all shark movies are really not informing you well about sharks. They only attack humans because they think it is a turtle or seal. From the hundreds of different types of sharks are only a few dangerous.
Jesse Dijkstra not to mention female surfers or male surfers tend to surf beyond a safe limit. Plus swimming or surfing on your period attracts sharks. And swimming in ocean and having a cut attracts sharks.
I saw it and i have to say that this is one of the best thriller/survival movies i've ever seen in a long time the beginning may seem bad but as soon as they go inside the water ur really gonna like it
i never get enough of these kind of movies
Sharks only bite when you touch their private parts
lol
😭😂😂😂😂😂
same
Sloth55Chunk 😂😂😂😂
HAHAHA...my fav movie quotes
Why is this classified as a horror movie? Wouldn't it just be a thriller???
I mean, I guess so. No matter how hard I try I can't find sharks scary in movies.
Only shark movie that i got scared was og jaws.
Worst ending in the world. This movie honestly wanted you to cry. They gave u hope then they killed it off like that in a heart attack.
I don't understand the ending. Was Lisa hallucinating about that she and kate got saved?
Clash met Efraïm yeah
It's unrealistic for the both of them to actually survive.
Bella - yeah
very good thought its going to be like dont breathe but sharks edition
More like "The Shallows" underwater.
Bad fishy.
Rayne1936 LOL i cant stop laughing😂😂😂
Bad Movie.
Aw
Brendan Geraghty You are right

That plot twist at the end...wow. I actually didn't expect it. Let out the biggest gasp

You're not talking about shallows right?? If so then please tell me where you saw this because this is the first time I'm hearing about it haha
no it was released before shallows
.. i can tell you the story of this movie and what will happen in the end ... its very beautiful movie
I watched this movie online today and it was freaking awesome and I was stunned by it though I watched it online when it gets released I will definitely go and see it in theaters
link?
The fact this was made 6 years ago and this movie is now a hit🗿
Blain Reinkensmeyer thank you for that info it was well appreciated
That would've made a great movie wouldn't it. Boat inspectors spots boat without licence, prevents it from going out, roll credits. It's a movie, it's meant to be entertaining, you want real life, go watch a documentary....
Blain Reinkensmeyer thank u
David Batty except movies are hardly entertaining. I prefer realism over talentless actors and actresses making shit content
Blain Reinkensmeyer it's a movie
This is the best shark movie I've ever seen
That missing submarine gone have ppl checking this out
Scariest part is if they make it to the surface, they'll mostly likely suffer from decompression sickness.
Damn. I have seen the movie and maybe you're right😂
...and another movie demonizing sharks...
Raina Mermaid
Well Sharks are demons of the ocean. And if Great Whites are hungry enough, they can and will eat humans. They just prefer not to because the taste of human flesh vs fish is so different.
Playstation Elation they usually attack people based on confusion or a feeding frenzy. They're just playing with the idea of a rogue shark again as always. Not a horrid idea but an overused one.
marvelfreek94
Agreed
movies demonize humans more than anyone
i know man. when will people learn. it's croc who are the real demons. those fuckers be crazy
THIS MOVIE IS SO UNDERRATED, i watched it for 4 times already and I freaking love it
Here is a happy comment look a cute doggy
🐶
I’ll never understand why people go in the ocean knowing there’s monsters (sharks) lurking just beneath the surface. I just don’t get it
Claire Holt from The Originals I love herrrrrrr im like fangirling right now
Same here 😍
Shark me ousside ,how aboat that !
Terell Underwood it's the same movie
Well thanks now I'm terrified of doing this
Takes off bucket list
I was yelling at the screen before they ever got in the water: you don’t know how to scuba dive, you’re on vacation in a strange place, and you trust total strangers to keep you safe in a shark cage? Seriously?!
Aaaaaaaand never going in water again
Seen the movie today and man it was so intense. I accidentally broke the cup holder 😂😭
ant27 The hallucination got me twisted and mad both at the same time.
Jayenell Lee OH MY GOD THAT HALLUCINATION PISSED ME OFF when she held up her hand and the blood was flowing I was like WTFF
Do you think the movie is appropriate for an 11 year old? Like, is there any cussing
Alina Hanson Nah it's appropriate. Look at common sense media on google it'll tell you everything you need to know.
Alina Hanson, it's okay to watch with a 11 year-old. (:
This is NOT just another shark trouble movie.. superb direction...loved it.... ending is nice and top of it 'Down in the woods' soundtrack give chills!
One of those Netflix movies that you don't bother pausing when you have to go to the toilet.
24h challenge in sea w/Bea (not clickbait) (gone wrong) (gone sexual) (almost died!!!!!!!^_^)

HAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE IT 😍
WE MADE IT KATE !!
"Hey, let's go to that swimming with sharks place for our vacation!"
Me: "Can't we go to Disney World, like normal people?"
They'd die just from falling so fast to 47m deep!
*The oxygen was their “ONLY HOPE”… If you know what I mean.* 🧡
I don’t really understand all the hate for this movie. I actually enjoyed it, was tense
