Part 2 - This video show you the inside and out of several different styles of pressure switches. It explains what happens inside of a pressure switch, how they fail and why it's important to test them properly. There is more to testing a pressure switch than just seeing if it closes and opens. Pressure switches that are starting to fail still test fine using the standard practices of testing them. Failing switches cause erratic behavior in furnace operation. This can even lead to a very dangerous condition. Proper testing of this "Safety" is vital and should never be overlooked.
