Why me, as a foreigner, can understand both accents from France and Quebec but French people can't understand them? They speak french as their mother tongue, they're supposed to understand better all accents from french language.
She has a pretty light accent and she don't use very specific expressions, every french would understand her.... When frenchs say they don't understand it's when it's way thicker than that.

Like France was powefull and we are only the child. ++ As a nation, quebec people have a feeling and attitude sometime that we are noting (porteur d'eau) or, want to be kind with foreigners. Peu ou pas de sensualité. Seduire une femme quebecoise ou se faire seduire en tant que femme, un gros bordel et surtout ces temps ci. Ouff !

The slang and strong local accent are what are hard to understand. She is speaking standard French which all French-speakers will understand.

They have a French Canadian accent, but the English anyone learns in Canada is Canadian English.
