They way the news says she was "using prescription drugs that night" when she really said she takes an anxiety medication that morning. Makes me so mad.
Its dtill in your system all the time since she takes it regularly it foesnt just leave the system st night it takes days to be out of your system. Not judging just saying. I cant drink alcohol because I take anxiety meds and will get migraines. But yea they take time to get in your system and then time like days to get out.
RIGHT! that annoyed me so much to find out it wasn’t even a harsh or addictive prescription it’s just anxiety meds that she took in the morning. i know it’s still in her system and some can be dangerous but it’s not like she took it and immediately started drinking causing serious harm. the media sucks we need to stop stigmatising medication not saying it’s a reason for someone being a bad parent
You are so right. She is disgusting. She has no shame, no class, no empathy and she is a straight up witch. It seems like victim bashing is the way to go. If she was any kind of an interviewer, or investor, she should of been asking about facts.
I'm so angry about that. I mean I don't know what meds she was on, but most anxiety meds don't make you high. Like okay so I'm not allowed to operate heavy machinery after I take my meds because they have a drowsy side effect, but they don't drastically change your brain function to the point you'd kill your own baby.
You can’t drink with them though. I’m on the mom’s side, I’m just saying. When you drink alcohol with anxiety meds, they become an entirely different thing!! Been there done that.
Agreed it's shaming everyone with an anxiety disorder! And the mom also explains her antianxiety medication is a daily non- narcotic medicine she takes. That's like saying someone on heart medicine is using prescription drugs and drinking. Just another ways to make the story juicy without technically lying, but leading the listener.
The police saying "they're not cooperating" pretty much translates to "they're not giving us the confession that we want to hear - *regardless of whether or not it's true* - to make our jobs easier"
The mom's statement "maybe somebody someone just wanted a baby" and then her breakdown when she says "at least I hope that's what it is" is heartbreaking. She has no idea what happened to that baby just praying someone took her to raise her and not for SA reasons. That is fucking heartbreaking
It broke my heart. Because as a mother I can put myself in her shoes and imagine the pain she's in. She actually held it together alot better than I would. It's so sad thinking she didnt know where her baby was or who took her
I found a *very* developmentally disabled toddler (2 years ago) 14-18 months old running into the street and I got him and he thankfully led me back to his house- A HALF BLOCK away. His mom and dad were screaming running looking for him completely distraught. He unlocked the door and took off. Babies are escape artists. Anything could have happened to that poor boy if I didn’t get to him. I thank the Universe that I walked a different route on a gut feeling that day.
@@You.Tube.Sucks. go on Amazon and find some door/window alarms. They're super easy to install, just peel and stick, but anytime a door or window is opened they will chime or alarm (depending on what kind you get/ what you set it on). Those are a super cheap way to know if your child opens a door or window, or even a cupboard if you want to put them on cupboards. Other than that, a real home security system, dead bolts or those other locks like hotel rooms have, that are up high and keep the door from opening all the way. Mom of 6 here. 😊
When I was 20, and living in my 1st apt, I came home one afternoon from Community College, was running to the bathroom I swung my front door behind me and it didn't close all the way. When I came back out of the bathroom there was *an unknown child IN my livingroom*! She had just been wandering alone out among the apartment buildings; I only lived at this site 6mos and the on-site managers changed 3 times, so yeah, not the best place. This was an errant 3yo, and of the two of us I was the one freaking out. It took the better part of 30 freaking minutes before I could convince her to exit my apartment and let me escort her back to where she came from. Finally, finally, I got her back to her mom, who hadn't been looking for her, who was standing in the middle of a completely empty apartment; the only 2 other things in that unit with her were an infant in a carseat and one of my upstairs drug dealer neighbor boys. Oh yeah, and the mom was a girl I had gone to grade school with, tho I'm not sure she knew who I was. Awesome...
1000%. I'm a social worker. Cops called me in because a 2yr old was found wandering by a water tower in his diaper and a shirt. Found the parents almost immediately bc they called the cops after searching, like here. Kid was napping. Dad was sleeping bc he worked overnights. Mom had run to the basement to put in a load of laundry. They had already added a chain lock to the front door to try to keep him from running into the street. But he got out of the patio door, out of the fence and across a 4 lane street and just down the road to the water tower. The cops kept telling me we should take the kid bc this happened. Um. No. Shit happens. This poor mom was losing it. I felt so bad for her.
@@googleuser3749 kids are amazing, in myriad ways, including being amazing payback! How else will you ever truly know the wonder and fear your parents experienced raising you? Where do you think the first grey hair came from?! Children! Or at least from truly putting the care of and best interests of and protections of another before yourself, without question, without thought. I don't share my DNA directly downward with anyone, but damn do I feel incredibly protective and loving (and woefully outnumbered and confused by people's behavior & choices) toward kids. I totally understand your position in the story you told, shit happens, absolutely, and the kid's folk's were doing what they ought to be doing - looking all over for him, they called the police, etc. You would have had a different response if they'd not even known or been concerned about the child's whereabouts. You handle each case as it presents, because if you just use a formula to handle them what need is there for a human caseworker? Megan Kelly is dirty. If I ever end up in a situation where I need to be interviewed by the media... I would be very selective on who I speak with. Media is never after the truth, only ratings. Sensationalizing pays.
That's what I said! This woman is hardly the first mom to put her kids to bed and then get her drink on. Spend less time shaming her and more time finding that little baby!
The fact that more than 1 person saw a man walking down the road in the early AM with a baby is alarming. No one ever came forward to say “hey, that was me and my baby” so who were they allegedly?

Ya, and the window being open, but then the screen was messed with and the front door unlocked was the first uh oh for me. I know she said in the video that it was October... But, I'm in Mass, there are still warm days in Oct. More than that, my electric bill is all mine to pay, lol, BUT heat and hot water is included and that heat CRANKS! I can have my thermostat off completely, But the heat in the apartment bldg hallways are set pretty high and high enough that i don't even have to turn my heat on til mid November, beginning of Dec some years. And my windows can be open a crack up to December and my son will open his window to the 'lock open' all year long.... The kid is a like a furnace yr round, lol....with his fan on at night, it's open to the point of where it's locked, but open a bit, except if it's snowing even in the dead of winter. Because my heat is included, I don't mind if it's open (as long as it's still locked), plus it gets very warm in my apartment and very dry because of it so I don't see ANY problems with that window being open. The screen being tampered with is what would catch my attention. These people talking about the wine is ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. They are talking about it like she was sh00ting heroin and knocked out with a needle hanging out of her arm with kids running all around and drug addicts in and out of her house. 🤦♀️ She had a few glasses of wine, wasn't sure of the time she checked on the baby is what it sounds like to me. Sometimes I didn't check on my son in his crib because I didn't want to wake him up when I opened the door because it took a while to get him settled the first time. It's crazy that this mom KNEW that she'd be judged for drinking and maybe it wasn't the BEST thing to do drinking until she was blackout drunk, I don't know.... But it's crazy to me that she KNEW she'd be judged and felt she had to lie about the time she checked in on the baby. I mean, WHO TF EXPECTS someone to creep into their house and steal their BABY right out from under their nose?! FFS. I can't even IMAGINE what they must be going through & to top it off, know people think they are the reason 🥺😠 Especially when TWO people seen a man strolling down the road with a damn baby, a man that has a history of fire starting, and a fire was reported on the same night w burnt baby clothes. Wtf?! When someone has "arson" on their record, it's VERY hard to get them placed because usually people who have arson charges will repeat that behavior (compulsive & destructive). So, if he was ever to be arrested he wouldn't be able to do certain things inside the jail (like work release, or certain jobs, or programs, etc), it'd be hard for him to get into a treatment program, any kind of public housing, etc...because they tend to repeat destructive & compulsive behavior.... And this guy seems to tick every single box 😳
So often we see these "crying" parents whose eyes are totally dry and whose foreheads are completely unwrinkled. This woman is actually working those tear ducts and exercising the grief muscle, and it makes a real human connection. It's real or the woman missed her calling. My money's on real.

@@caitlinkenny3104 Please, be extra careful with judgements like that. For example, I'm autistic - when something earth-shattering happens to me, you won't necessarily see that on my face but it doesn't change the fact that inside I'm broken like everyone else would be. On the topic of McCanns, there is a great vid by The Behavior Panel - they are experts and quite entertaining guys. Ramseys are similar to McCanns, yet so different. Take Burke Ramsey - I'm not blind to the fact that he's giving creepy vibes, but so am I when I'm stressed and surrounded by a lot of strangers... I'm not saying that if you're autistic or neurodiversed in any other way (and he allegedly is), you can't do bad things, of course that's not the case, but simple judgement of people's facial expressions is an oversimplification. Long story short, check out that channel I've mentioned - they are great at explaining nuances. PS. I also agree with all of you that the mom looks painfully real, dad as well.
My now 19 year old once managed to pull the safety gate fully off the top of the staircase where it was securely fixed and then effectively surfed down the entire staircase on top of said safety gate. He also figured out how to rock his cot in a very creative way to create a swaying motion to lean it against another piece of furniture in order to create a slope to climb down and out of the cot. Gotta be one step ahead sometimes ❤
My youngest started walking a week before he turned 9 months. He would get himself into all kinds of crazy places really early on and scared the shit out of me. If he had not been in his crib where I left him, I absolutely would have spent a good few minutes looking around the house for him before calling the police.
I live in KC, and the Lisa Irwin case struck me SO hard because my oldest son is just a few months older than baby Lisa. I was home alone with him, my husband away at work, when the story first broke. I am in the tiny minority of Kansas Citians that has always believed Lisa’s parents are innocent in her disappearance. For all of the generosity and positivity this city offers, they have treated the family (Deborah primarily) so horribly. Lead by the KCPD and the local media, the rumors and hatefulness have been astounding since day one. People just won’t hear of anything that doesn’t fit the “Debbie did it” narrative. It doesn’t even matter that after all of these years, they have found absolutely nothing to support that. I 100% believe that Jersey is probably the person that took Lisa. I also wholeheartedly believe that if the Irwin’s were well off, living across the state line in wealthy Leawood, wine night with a neighbor would’ve had a whole different tone around it in the media.
Oh you literally know that if it was in ANY other area in kc it wouldn't have been frowned upon. I also live around the area an have never thought Debbie did it. I literally don't think they looked hard enough at Jersey because he's suspect AF if they only woulda put that energy into lookin into him like they did Debbie maybe just maybe she wouldve been found my heart breaks for this family honestly

"not cooperating with police" in regards to the parents is just code for "they didn't confess to killing her even though we interrogated and gaslighted them, and they won't let us search their home as often as we want"
I mean, no one is going to say cops don't force confessions and use some dirty tactics. But the last part? I feel like if my child goes missing, I'd let the cops search anything whenever they wanted if it gave even the slightest chance that they'd find them. It is a little odd to refuse that. Most anyone, cop or not, would presume that you're hiding things and are involved. Even if it's not true.
@Filthy acts at a reasonable price Or, hear me out, they can do both. They don't use all the man power on one thing lol this is really pushing the concept of bad cops. They fucked their job up but assuming if they search a house, they wouldn't also be questioning neighbors, looking for nearby predators, etc. That's a huuuuge reach. In fact, refusing the search just makes them more suspicious of you and therefore spend more time focused on only you because it's an odd move for a 'worried' parent.
@@Phantomz148 Ok but if the cops are clearly trying to pin the disappearance of your kid on you and you didnt do it you arent gonna let them continue searching and gathering evidence from your house since they can construe anything to incriminate you

The fact that she checks in on her daughter almost every night is a routine and you sometimes can't recall if you actually did that day or the the before. For example, taking medication each day, or locking the door when you leave. Every time it's so similar that sometimes you have to think if you've done that today or yesterday. Happens to me all the time so I understand the fact that she can't recall if she checked in on her baby before bed. And the reason she probably changed her story is that she analyzed that night a million times over and couldn't figure out if she had done it that time as well.
I'm usually the last to leave when I have school so I always lock the door. There have been times when I'm at school and I can't remember if I've locked the door or times when I've locked the door when my mum is still in the house, its a habit, its what I do whenever I leave
This is insane. I don't even know how people manage to recall what they did with all dates and times. I never know when what happenes. It would be yea, I went on holiday it could be summer, but it could have been autumn too...
Did they interrogate jersey tanko for 11 hours? There is SO MUCH evidence pointing to this guy. There is literally zero evidence to say the mom did anything to Lisa. The phones alone, not even counting the MULTIPLE eye witnesses who seen a man carrying a baby, should have been enough to charge Jersey with breaking and entering and placing him at the scene of the crime. So effed up.
When the police said they weren't cooperating, what they meant was they wouldn't confess. The U.S. Police sicken me, all they want to do is close the case and go home. They aren't interested in the truth.
I figured that too. Especially since that cop made a comment like,"Well if they wanted to speak to us, all they had to do was come to the station." Like how childish and tit tat is that?

Not all of them are so incompetent. The police are human beings, and there are a lot of them in this country. So, it stands to reason that within the thousands of investigators, spanning all 50 states there are going to be some very bad investigators and some very good ones. Unfortunately, in this case, I believe baby Lisa’s investigators missed the opportunity to rescue her because they developed tunnel-vision early on.

He had the stolen phones , he tried to call his girlfriend! So that placed him in that house, he had the phone! He had on the same clothes in seen in the surveillance camera at the gas station going into the woods. Dud the dumb cops even checked the woods?! So the motorcycle guy said he saw Tanko with the baby . Wasn’t that the photo he picked out?! They wasted so much time because she drank wine that night! I agree, even the way she was fighting for breath through her tears here and there seemed really genuine to me. Yes, I think it was very unwise of her to drink enough that she forgot to check on the baby, and yes, they got a bit defensive when the police targeted them so heavily, and I’m sure that didn’t help their public image, but I think I’d be defensive in that situation too. Thank you so much Stephanie for stressing the fact that one should get a lawyer, and that retaining a lawyer is not an admission of guilt. So many true crime youtubers seem to act as if getting a lawyer is suspicious, but a lawyer is there to make sure your rights are being upheld and everyone is obeying the law.
Totally agree with you ... plus as Stephanie said ... there is no law that says the police can’t lie yo you ... for every upstanding police officer unfortunately there seems to be some bad ones that will stop at nothing to get a conviction
Here in the UK it's just kind of expected that you would want a solicitor (lawyer). Whether you're guilty or not it can never hurt to get advice from someone who understands the system on an intimate level
Absolutely. I personally would never talk to the police without a lawyer present, regardless of whether I was actually innocent or not. There are way too many times people have been coerced, threatened-even beaten and/or killed (more common in certain countries, but still)-and just so many things that could go wrong or be pinned on the wrong person. We have rights for a reason, and that’s why we are allowed to ask for an attorney present when speaking to the police, so people can get mad all they want about it but it’s your right to do so. Same with invoking your 5th Amendment right of not saying anything at all; It’s even in your Miranda rights read whenever someone is arrested that they have the right to remain silent, yet rarely people actually stay quiet. I mean, they even tell you that ANYTHING you say CAN and WILL be used against you, so best thing to do is ask for a lawyer & stay quiet. The police have techniques they use to get answers, and while they may work to help get the answers they need, they can also hurt an investigation if they have the wrong suspect in custody that they’re questioning & doing these tactics on.
If the mother's initial interview was acting she deserves an academy award. Look at other missing kids mother's interviews, Susan Smith & Casey Anthony, come to mind and you'll see the difference.
Also Lori Vallow/Daybell's weirdass. Although she wasn't interviewed, her behavior over her 2 missing children, and even since their bodies were found...not normal.
weird that the police would get involved in a casino search based off a fortune teller but discount a suspect that had witnesses, phone calls, and a criminal history linking him to the disappearance.
It’s blowing my mind. Multiple witness say they see a strange man with an underdressed baby roaming around the neighborhood and local area. This man is also known for being an arsonist and has a warrant out for his arrest. Baby clothes are found in a dumpster fire on the route he likely would have taken. Clearly it’s the mother, who didn’t crack under 11+ hours of interegation! We know this because she had the audacity to drink WINE on her front porch while her children were asleep! It’s a goddamn joke. I really have to wonder if the PD just had a vendetta against the family or if Jersey had friends in higher places that were obfuscating the investigations. Always the chance that it was straight up incompetence too, but this lack of effort put into this case feels almost malicious.
@@daniellecalderwood4626 I don’t know how all of that could be dismissed. It’s crazy! I think they got tunnel vision and dismissed anything that didn’t support their theory that the mother was responsible.

@@daniellecalderwood4626 i really disliked the tone and the approach of the journalist (blond lady seen in the first part of the video - forgot her name - sorry ) She sounded more interested in character assassinating the mother, humiliating her and embarrassing her , rather than in locating a missing child. By locating, I also mean finding information that could be useful on the search. All she seemed to care about was the number of glasses, how often she had wine. I found her work absolutely not helpful
You can always tell. When I've seen videos of mothers who hurt their kids crying, I feel nothing. But this woman? Her cries made me sob almost immediately. You can feel her pain, her anguish, her terror and fear.
My autistic 9 year old decided to walk to his grandmas without telling ANYONE (we didn't know he could navigate that far at ALL we had never walked there) i was throwing up crying sobbing and praying all at the same time because we didn't know where he was for about 45 minutes. To see her like that and to hear dad's voice waver when he was speaking was truly heartbreaking. I've seen evil parents who are acting distraught and this is not that. Those poor people were openly grieving and pleading with the public to help them find poor baby Lisa and their own community spat in their faces and accused them of negligence when there was zero proof of any kind of abuse against those babies. It's so disheartening to see the amount of effort exerted to accuse innocent parents while 2 houses down, there could be a child freezing to death on his father's cement garage floor, but because he's a police officer no one looks twice. I don't know what needs to be done to save these babies, but what we're doing isn't working and it's terribly tragic.
I believe them as well. Not once do they refer to her in past terms, like “she meant the world to us”. The mom says “she means the world to us “ telling us she still thinks she’s alive.
Sometimes I feel like my timid guinea pig would be a better interrogator than the police officers mentioned, who tried to make the mother "admit" to how she did it
I completely agree! Also hate how much judgement the mother is getting for drinking, she's clearly a good mother and she was just having some adult time. We all need it! Police just want the case closed doesn't matter if an innocent person goes to jail.
I believe that mom kept her cool during those interviews because she was there to get the word out about her daughter. She honestly cared more about finding her daughter, then what anyone else thought about her as a mom.

I thought this too. People will call for a dog in a hot car, but a man walking around on a COLD night, with a baby wearing nothing but a diaper and..... nothing?! Seriously people!??? 😭
I would have called the cops and took a picture. Of course this was when cellphones only took 1mp pics so. But I just had to call the police at my friend's house, as her neighbor was being beaten by her brother.
I know how you feel. I would call the cops if I saw some dude like him carrying a little baby. Geeeezzz. I bet if it was a dude dragging a dog on a leash someone would call the cops; as they should.
Me too! So many missed opportunities! You never know how you’ll respond in situations like that. But, I feel pretty confident that if I saw a man walking @ 4:30am holding a baby that young in nothing but a diaper- in October @ 45 degrees- ...I would be suspicious enough to call the police to come just check him out. My first thought would be that this is a father who suffers from some mental illness who is off his meds, etc. But, I would definitely call for someone to intervene.
I live in Kansas City, very close to my county. When this was released I feel like the police barely did their job and did not put in enough effort to even find this baby. The fact she is still missing, I pray she is still alive and hopefully will get back to her family very very soon.
Guy is seen by more than 1 person holding a baby, Irwin family cell phones make phone calls to same guys ex-girlfriend, guy is well known to have broken into homes, dumpster fire with baby clothing found burned inside in guys ex-girlfriend's condo.... Police: we don't consider him a suspect When this occurred, I did fall for the media bias. They were definitely pushing the narrative that mom did it, only a few years later did obvious drifter guy story surface. Thanks Stephanie, I think about Lisa all the time and hope her parents get answers some day!
That would mean they'd have to do actual work ..... I get that there are good LE out there, but sometimes they are so ignorant . I had a trooper investigator look at me and say "You're not acting the way I thought you would " bc I wasn't crying and falling apart in front of my 4 yr old while I was 6 months pregnant and they told tried to claim my husband did something completely out of character (we've been together 15 yrs). Come to find out, someone lied and accused my husband, he was completely exonerated but police think they know everything when they clearly don't....
Right?! I mean, it's REALLY suspicious that the mother passed her lie detector test. But guy carrying a baby that was positively identified by witnesses is so far away from a suspect that he doesn't even need a lie detector test. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
i just don't think it is possible for someone to fake emotion the way they do. it's so obvious that they are feeling desperate and helpless and very emotional about her disappearance. you can clearly see the pain on Debra's face and eyes, you can't fake something like that
I agree. And if she were guilty WHY would she subject herself to all the media coverage?.. To me, she would be avoiding it as much as she could, if she were guilty.
For real , it's pretty disgusting. I never thought they had anything to do with what happen to their little Girl. It's so sad and terrible. I know there r bad parents out there that do hurt their kids but not this couple.
There was a dumpster fire close to Lisa’s home. Police said there were scraps of baby clothes were found in there. If you find scraps of baby clothes wouldn’t it make sense to show the scraps to the parents in order to determine if the clothes belonged to Lisa?
I think that the reason that she originally was not forthcoming with her level of drunkenness or when she last checked on Lisa was because she was afraid that she would be charged with neglect and she would lose the other kids. Then, she realized that the best way of Lisa being found was to be completely honest. I also think that they need to track down Dane, the guy who supposedly fell off the face of the earth, and exactly where he was soon after the abduction. I wouldn't doubt if he sold the baby to an illegal adoption ring. If those 2 guys were in on it from the beginning, then it would explain why he made sure he had the phone all night, as he waited for the call to tell him they had her.
I agree with you that is the reason she was not forthcoming at the beginning. And she should worry - as that is neglectful and unsafe. She sounds like she really needs help to address her drinking or another tragedy will follow. Children cannot thrive in this environment. However, I agree with you that Dane & Jersey need to be thoroughly looked into. There are just too many coincidences with the phone, the man with the baby, the dumpster fire that ties these two together. I hope that the police are seriously looking into this, but I suspect and fear because of the mother’s irresponsible behaviour and lies in the beginning they got tunnel vision and dismissed anything that did not support their theory that the mother was responsible. So sad, either way the family needs closure and Lisa needs to be found!!
I agree. I think anyone in that position would be scared and realize that the police would automatically suspect them. I think most people in that position would downplay their drinking at first. And this is coming from someone who doesn't drink at all. It just makes sense. People get scared, especially in a situation like that and if she didn't have anything to do with it (which I don't believe she did) she'd know her drinking was irrelevant to what happened to her baby, so she probably figured it wouldn't hurt anything to say she'd just had a little to drink. 🤷🏼♀️
@@jessisblessed6689 dude if a doctor even asks us we tend to downplay how often we smoke or drink, I can 100% see her reason for it being that she just didn’t wanna be seen as neglectful.

I have to give Deborah credit for owning up to how much she’d had to drink the night Lisa disappeared considering she must have known she’d be judged for it.
To me it’s speaks to her being completely dedicated to finding her child, does not care how she is perceived. She tells the truth because she knows it could help overall in finding her child. I believe her and her husband
Even thinking no one would think you had anything to do with it at all anyway, it’s that kinda thing you might not admit. Not just in the sense of being judged in general but afraid that judgement might mean someone won’t look as hard bc ppl just suck sometimes. She just threw it all out there like I’m telling you EVERYTHING, JUST FIND HER!
Only tangentially related, but... the fact that cops can get away with lying about SO MUCH is really disgusting. Megyn Kelly's treatment of Deborah is so gross.
Lying cops are terrible. I had two seizures in one night, and the cops (in CT) put me in a mental home. Then the horrible cps guy who wouldn’t ever let me finish a sentence and walked to the bathroom down stairs, knowing I just went in there, with the door half open, just to tell me he was at my house, which he knew my husband just told me told many lies took my kids away. Which is illegal because of seizures. He claimed it on PAST mental health. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone!! The police need reform and not to call everyone mental. I hope to write a book or be on a podcast when this is completely over.
I hate how crime dramas make it seem like if you ask for a lawyer you're clearly guilty. It makes people IRL hesitant to ask for a lawyer. A lawyer is there to make sure the cops don't fuck you over if you're innocent too.
my Grandfather was a supreme court judge for our province here in Canada. He always told his family to NEVER say anything to police without an attorney if you are not guilty. apparently lawyers and judges see police twist words a lot :/
Deborah probably didn't want to admit how much she had drank at first because she knew she'd be dragged through the mud and accused of child neglect, which is exactly what happened. But when she realized that it would be better to be honest in order to help find her daughter, she told the truth. I feel like that only makes it more credible that she didn't have anything to do with Lisa's disappearance.
@@hollystiener16 Yeah, you're definitely right about that. I think I wasn't thinking about things enough, just letting my disdain for Megyn Kelly take over 😂
She was negligent which is why she lied. It's the being accused of murder or manslaughter that is sad. But she lied and lied and that of course has caused people to be suspicious.
Wow. So because she decided to have some wine, she’s judged as a bad mom. I never understood it until I became a young mom. They expect us to do nothing other than be a caretaker, 24/7. My mom judges me the same way. I can’t imagine how terrible Deborah feels.
Isn’t it ridiculous?! Even Moms judging other Moms. If you don’t take care of yourself and have your own life, when your children are adults you will regret it. Believe me! I’m there now. I gave up all my friends and my social life and have nothing left. Take care of yourself and have a life no matter what anyone says🌸
So true. Moms who don’t breastfeed are judged. Me, I breastfeed for 11 months before deciding to switch to formula because with teeth coming in its hurting and it has become really hard to have to pump all the time. And I get judged for it as well. Nothing you do is ever enough.
My daughter’s dad has been just as involved with her as I’ve been since birth. In fact, I didn’t get to chance a diaper for three weeks, and he was sad I didn’t wake him up for that one. He was going to have to go back to work soon, so wanted to do all he could every moment he was home. Fast forward 11 years, and he’s still equally involved as I am, and since he’s able to work from home, that’s doubly true. Thanks to a society that says moms are supposed to do it all, I often feel like I’m neglecting her by not doing more, even though I consciously know that the two of them also bond over him taking care of her and that me trying to take away the things he does wouldn’t benefit them. We’d strive to make sure we can set the example that moms aren’t only moms and nothing else. Pre-pandemic, I went to clubs, on my own three hours away, no less, and am debuting in burlesque this weekend, and she knows, and her dad does stuff too. Yet this “Moms are only allowed to be moms 24/7” bullshit message is still in my head.
Grew up with Deb in Pennsylvania dated for a bit. She’s an amazing person and I feel so horrible that this happened. After all this time and still no leads…. It baffles me
How huge are the odds of multiple witnesses seeing a man randomly walking with an unclothed baby on the same night a baby is reported missing?? I really want to know what kind of evidence the police think they have that cleared this Jersey guy!!!
Right? And then he’s seen coming out of the woods with no baby. So wouldn’t it be common sense to think the area where he went into the woods with a baby to the area where he came out without baby is where he maybe killed and got rid of her body?
I know!!... Love listening to the long ones but I'm not understanding how demonitization of videos can happen when I had 4 commercial breaks????.. But idc cuz we get a long one from the best true crime RUclipsr on the platform 😁😁😁
Yes, that ghastly female interviewer! I'm sure life is much easier when you make plenty of money, have nannies, cleaners etc. What an utter cow- it's all about the ratings.
Deborah might have had alcohol problems, maybe she was even a bit irresponsible as a mother...But her devastation and crying was real. And baby Lisa's father was clearly lost, in shock. If either of them were faking, then they are Oscar worthy actors.
Imagine how much pain the baby's disappearance caused the mum, how much guilt and shame she must put on herself, she doesn't need strangers to point fingers at her too.
Debra- "Yeah I take medication for anxiety. My friend and I drank wine that night and I got a little drunk." Megyn Kelly: "This HORRIBLE mother was drunk and on prescription drugs!"
I have 21 grandchildren. All but two of them walked by 10 months old. Some were very capable of getting out of the crib. I can fully understand looking around for the baby first. I believe the parents are innocent, mostly going on their transparency and obvious grief.
Plus, one of the other kids in the house might have taken the baby out of the crib and she could have fallen back to sleep anywhere. Anyone would look around first thinking the baby has to be there somewhere.
I think lots of little girls walk by then. Lots and lots. I used to work in the one year old room in a daycare and about half the little girls walk by ten months and a quarter of the boys. My daughter walked at ten months and could climb out of anything. It was actually horrible, out of car seats and we had to move her to a toddler bed in our room because cribs got too dangerous and letting her free range at night was also not a good idea. My son walked later and I was thankful
@@okeydokey3120 My fur babies have just turned on a laptop in the living room and are watching a video on RUclips! Seriously. Kids and animals are capable of pretty much anything!
This is completely unrelated to the video but I figured out why I like Stephanie so much: She has the same energy as the nice English teachers that supported my creativity and respected my disabilities. It makes me feel safe
Perfectly worded. Truer words have never been spoken. I love Stephanie too. Can't agree more that her energy is infectious she's witty and feisty and just sublime. ❤ ❤
My daughter walked at 8 months. It was crazy. And my 3 year old son would climb in her crib and help her escape. Blew my mind for almost a month. Finally, I sat up outside their shared bedroom quietly and witnessed their escape act so they could sleep together.
When my daughter was 2 my son was 4 he pulled a chair up to the counter so she could climb up and get the easter candy out of the cabinet. When i walked in he pointed and said "she did it". Threw her straight under the bus. Kids are crazy. If i didnt see some of this shit with my own eyes i wouldnt believe it. But they still love each other so much they hate each other. Its cute in a weird way.
That’s really adorable of your kids to have that bond and wanting to sleep together 🥰. Something my two does too. I’ve caught big sister helping little brother ‘break in’ to the pantry to sneak chocolates! I agree that it’s not outrageous for a 10 month old to have climbed out of their crib, I’ve watched enough baby cam footage of kids that age or younger do that stuff to know they are far more capable that most of us give them credit for.
I’m glad I decided to pour a glass of wine for this..it’s my weekend. That doesn’t matter. I’m a grown ass adult having a drink at my home. I can’t even with this.
I literally just got done moaning and groaning to my fiancé about how weird and fucked up it felt when they were basically attacking her for having some wine. Especially the female reporters from what I’ve seen, like they almost want her to be the bad guy no matter what actually happened. Like if it came out she had absolutely nothing to do with this I still feel like those people would blame her for having a few glasses of wine. I’m sure that after a long week of taking care of your children one would thoroughly enjoy some grown up time to drink and smoke and shoot the shit with an adult and I just don’t feel like having “grown up time” after the kids are tended to and settled in for the night should make you a bad mom? But apparently these reporters do 🤦🏽♀️
I know this was pissing me off so much. I feel like some tears I've seen from families of lost children were fake, but Lisa's mom's sobbing... that was soul-wrenching. I'm no expert, though.
My sister and one of her daughters do this. Her other daughter and husband hate the cold, but my sister cannot sleep without the window open even in negative degrees. Her husband has to sleep on the couch when it’s too cold because of it. It’s definitely not weird.
I do this. If it were up to me all I does would be open for some of the day regardless of weather. I just like the ventilation and prefer to dress warmer indoors if I'm really cold (the reliance on heating is so bad for he environment). I also think I sleep easier when its cold. I hope she receives the support she needs to continue her success and her dedicated research ❤
I'm disgusted how this poor mother was treated. I remember this case when it happened and she was honest, so honest that she was riddled with guilt about the drinking and obviously beating herself up enough about it too. I never thought she was responsible either, my Spidey senses didn't tingle either girl!
That's what got to me too. Because she is honest that irritating, snippy woman interviewing her treats her like a child caught smoking behind the bicycle sheds. It sounds to me like victim shaming. I also agree that it must be better to know your child is dead than not knowing where and how they are. These days with human trafficking happening all around us I will probably lose my mind within a month if one of my loved humans or pets had to just disappear and I didn't know if they were being abused or harmed continuously.
The news women's tone about the mom being drunk annoys me. The lady isn't an alcoholic, she's just human and she wanted a little fun and relaxation..dang.
My theory: Jersey was paid by someone to take that baby. He did odd jobs and he was homeless so I’m sure he had run into his fair share of sketchy people. Why didn’t the police consider him a suspect? Because he’s an informant and he’s more valuable to them on the streets than in prison.
@@aduckofsomesort I’m going to assume they did look into who paid Jersey. Maybe they didn’t have enough info to track that person down and they just wanted to look like hero’s and close the case so they blamed Lisa’s mother.
I hope she is still alive and as horrible as it is her being sold would hopefully mean that she is alive but unfortunately I think he probably had some sick intentions with this babygirl but who knows. I’m praying for Lisa and her family 🙏
And the reason I say that is because he would have had to have been more calculated and watching the family for a while to have kidnapped her to sell the baby. It seems he did this more on a whim. He saw an opportunity and took it. I have a strong feeling he wanted her for himself and got rid of her after he was done. I really hope not but it’s just the feeling I get. God bless baby Lisa and her family ❤️😔
But him being an informant is a strong possibility. And if that’s the case that’s so wrong they would let someone who harmed a child go so they can bust drug dealers and stuff 🤦♀️
The fact that a call was made to someones ex girlfriends phone who was known to be in the neighborhood the same night the phones and baby went missing and that the same someone was latter identified as being seen with a baby by a witness should have been enough for the police to focus all of their search in that direction.

The way the interviewer said she was “admitting to taking prescription drugs” when it was her own prescribed anxiety medication that she took in the MORNING just rubs me the wrong way!!! Taking the medication your doctor has prescribed you doesn’t make you a negligent mother. Having some wine with a friend AT HOME doesn’t make you negligent either. She didn’t drive drunk, she didn’t pull a Casey Anthony & go out clubbing while her daughter was missing.... I feel like the media was bending over backwards to make it sound like she was an addict or something when there is just no concrete reason to believe she had a problem like that.
...but being passed out drunk while you're the only adult caring for three young children is negligent and reckless. This abduction could have been been avoided.
@@make-upmaven565 While I agree that having so much to drink when you are the only adult caring for small children was not the best decision on mom's part, I honestly don't know how you can say that the abduction could've been avoided. She could've been stone cold sober when she went to bed and still slept through it happening. So I personally don't think that is a fair statement.
I feel it's kinda "damned if you do, damned if you don't" where the meds are concerned. Say instead of taking them, it got out that mom was prescribed them but was choosing to not take them. The media would be shaming her for that too. I realize that it was more about her drinking while on the medication, but by saying "mom admits to taking prescribed medication", it sounds like she's being looked down upon for needing them in the first place. And not for nothing, but what kind of parent doesn't have anxiety?! Just saying.
I have a confession. One time when my oldest child was about 14-15 months, I got really drunk after I put him to bed, and was super hungover the next day. In my hungoverness, I accidentally fell into a deep sleep on the couch. The doors were all shut, but SOMEHOW my son got outside, which he had never done. Luckily, my stepmom showed up shortly after that and found him before he wandered off. God, I got a talking to after that. Lol. I’ve never felt so scared and ashamed as I did that day. Needless to say, I never drink anymore unless I have a babysitter lined up for the next day now. I feel a deep amount of sympathy for this mother. I 100% believe she had nothing to do with it. Yes. It might have been somewhat irresponsible, but I’m sure she never thought in a million years anything could happen. I can’t imagine the overwhelming guilt she must feel everyday of her life. My heart breaks for her and the family.
It’s amazing how people equate parenthood to perfection. It’s horrible enough the guilt parents have to feel going through the learning process of raising children, then you have people who may have not had the specific incident occur with them, think they make claims that others are “bad parents”.I’m glad your situation turned out to be benign and was just a lesson learned. God Bless you for sharing❤️
i'm just glad that you and your babies are both fine! i hope you don't blame yourself too much because 1) you learnt from it and 2) nothing much happened!
Kids can get out when parents are sober & just fast asleep. Nobody is perfect & sometimes crazy stuff can happen, but it doesn’t mean you’re a bad person or parent ♥️
“Not cooperating” pisses me off a little because I had cps called on me and I did everything they asked me to for months while they “investigated” but finally I said “y’all said you have no concerns but you keep coming at me to do more things so no I’m done” and they took me to court for “not cooperating” and so I’ve seen a pattern that if you’re not doing everything and exactly the way they want that they’ll throw that term out. Be more specific… “they’re no longer speaking with us personally and only through an attorney”, “they’re denying any lie detector testing”, etc for whatever applies to that person. Not cooperating could be used if they did everything but refused one small unnecessary item but without being specific it sounds so much worse.
Shame on Megyn Kelly for judging this woman for drinking after she was certain her kids were safe. What really pissed me off though was the way she announced that she was on PRESCRIPTION meds like it was something that proves her as shady. It was prescription anxiety meds she's been taking. I feel so sorry for this mother
Right?! The way she said prescription was purposely to make people think she was on a mind altering drug or something similar. I take anxiety meds every morning. I am on my young 20s and I happen to enjoy alcohol frequently. Although the drug instructions say for every medication to not drink alcohol while on this medication, I still do. And it doesn't affect me in any way differently than before I was on my anxiety meds!!!! Ugh so frustrating! I'm not a parent yet and I feel her pain!

Looking for the child first is definitely not suspicious. Even if she couldn’t walk, kids shimmy outta the crib. I’ve seen my own kid to this. My baby, weeks old, rolled off our couch! Just home from hospital & was told to put him on a couch cushion or pillow if you have to walk away bc babies that small don’t have the muscles yet to lift their heads or roll to one side-so I did just that, turned around & he rolled himself off the couch. So yeah, babies are capable if amazing feats! Also, that’s genuine grief, genuine not knowing, probably genuine guilt for not re-checking on her before Deborah went to bed. And multiple witnesses spotted a man carrying a child, much like the McCann case. And there’s surveillance images if a man carrying something but they really can’t see what it is, but he matches the “kidnapper” others saw. Most police DON’T believe they had anything to do w/ Lisa’s kidnapping. This case is so frustrating-this one, McCann, Ramsey, Cayedito, Abeyta…so many others where it’s like they were most likely kidnapped but no one saw a thing!! And my heart still hurts for the mother having to endure those attacks because she had already been through so much pain.
When they don’t even know if the child is alive or dead how can they go ahead and accuse the parents of anything at all? Seems like they were just destroying their lives to close a case.
The person who did it could've driven by beforehand and saw lisa's mom and her friend drinking on the porch and saw that her husband's vehicle wasn't there.
Pretty daunting to think that Lisa would turn 10 this year. My heart goes out to the parents. Which prospect is worse? That she died, or that she's still alive? And if she is, where is she? How she is? Is she safe? Is she happy? She'll probably never know her true identity. Count your blessings, and hug your babies tight, people.
She might... in 8ish plus years when shes an adult maybe shell do a 23 and me or some other dna test and itll show her relatives arent her "relatives". Know what i mean?? Fingers crossed but honestly idk whats worse... i cant even imagine something like that happening to my daughter's. Im sure Debra hoped shes alive but to know your daughter is alive and doesn't know you at all is also heartbreaking. I think its better to know their dead than to not know and them be alive.... the not knowing would be torturous.
I guarantee, if a father was drinking on a weekend night while having a few beers, he would NOT be publicly shamed about it and blamed for a child being kidnapped. Mom shaming has to stop.
@@FirstNameLastName-wt5to ok but the bread and butter of this is do you think that warrants her 10month old baby to be kidnapped??? like fuck, you can say she’s irresponsible and shouldn’t of drunk, but SOMEONE KIDNAPPED HER CHILD ANYAAY, they didn’t know she was drinking??? they alcohol point is moot. stop judging people
@@razk9231 I do not think the alcohol point in moot. There is a big difference between a glass of wine and actually being drunk. Her being drunk, if observed by the kidnapper could have help provide the opportunity to sneak in and grab the baby. If I were a parent I would not do that with young children around even if they were sleeping. Still hind sight in 20/20 and this was a perfect storm of bad luck. Still without the impairment she might have heard a noise and woken up and been able to confront the kidnapper (still who knows if she had done that if a gun might have been pulled and she was killed leaving the family without a mother or worse if the other kids had come down - this could have been the best out come in a bad situation.)
I had a situation with an older boy trying to date my daughter and the age difference was pretty significant. My child tried to hide it from me and fed into it for awhile. Once I had found out about it I contacted the school to keep this kid away from my child. They chose to contact police and CPS. Our entire lives were turned upside down. They tried to keep the two of us for hours in questioning, they treated my daughter like a criminal and had us both so frazzled that I was losing her for negligence and she did something wrong. They never even spoke to the boy or his parents. The boy was showing up at my daughters school sponsored games, harassing her and having a group of kids bully her incessantly. I fully cooperated and turned over messages of threats, lies and absolute awful things this boy did and instead my daughter was treated like a criminal and threatened to be removed from our home and town. It was the most devastating experience. When I read the police reports they twisted our words, wouldn’t allow us to hand write our own statements and had an officer write what we supposedly said. I signed consent forms for them to search her phone and my signature was illegally placed on those reports. She is now in counseling and has a major fear of authority now that she witnessed first hand how corrupt they can be. I say all of this because I feel that police will portray you any way they feel. They don’t always care about the well-being of the abused or the children, they have charges to press and quotas to meet. Don’t believe every official report because these are the same people that want the media to report to make the police look as good as possible and shine spotlights where they choose. My heart is with both of these parents. The trauma that mother has in the way she speaks and carries herself speaks volumes. I’m disgusted at how she was treated and pray for baby Lisa.
it's unbelievable what police does frequently, even to victims of SA. There seems to be a real pattern. Whish you and your family to be able to deal with that betrayel and to heal
@@yeahB thank you for the kind words, I truly appreciate it. She’s come so far from this incident and I’m so proud of who she is becoming. Not all cops are bad, but some definitely give the rest a bad bad name.
my heart just breaks for your little girl, I'm so angry and so terribly sorry that she's now got to carry this heartbreak with her. And for you as a mom doing the best thing you could do in those circumstances, having to be at the mercy of the people who you're supposed to trust. It's vile. You did everything you could've done to deal with things appropriately and this is how you're treated. I've had close friends experience this kind of victim blaming from police when they've reported s_xual assaults, so it hits close home for me, but a child??? I have no words other than I'm so sorry, you're so strong to cope with that as a family and I desperately hope that only good things are headed for you all ❤
My parents used to have me scared to death of this. Apparently I had such a big head I could just plop myself out of my crib by 9 months. I would plop out and just come crawling into the living room. Dad said one time he found me playing in the toilet. It happened so often they just got used to it. I was so scared my kids would do it too. They were all early walkers, but thankfully between crib improvements and luck none of them did
Yep often got out of my crib at that age according to my parents. Also, everyone saying that its weird the window was open if they were trying to conserve energy is ridiculous. A lot of people like to sleep in a cold room, with a breeze. A lot of people don't rush to turn their heat on at the start of October (especially in kc because wait an hour it will be 80 degrees again)...
I started walking at 7 months. My dad put the coffee table outside on the porch so i wouldn't bash my head on it.... weeelllll my ass got a stick, opened the screen door, walker outside and bashed my head on the table 🤣 im 33 and still have the scar. Im the baby of the family, i have 2 older brothers and when a baby has older siblings to watch and learn from they learn everything FAST. Way faster than if they didnt have other kids to watch and mimic. My mom was and is over protective and an extremely good mother. It only took me 10 seconds to smash my head open haha she still cries and blames herself 33 yrs later 🤣 which break my heart thinks of Debra because she's going to blame herself for eternity even when its not her fault. Shitty police work and an even worse media ruined this entire case. Its blatantly obvious to me that she is innocent. A a mother myself my soul just shatters for her.... she must live every second in pain because even tho its not her fault she most definitely blames herself like all us moms do... damn...
I totally agree. I sensed the mom and dad were telling the truth from the first interview. She was genuinely upset like a mom would be. Also, I would say the majority of mothers have had fuzzy wine nights after a long day of taking care of kids and also are on anxiety meds.
They way the news says she was "using prescription drugs that night" when she really said she takes an anxiety medication that morning. Makes me so mad.
Right and they act like it's not her prescription.....just Jesus.
Its dtill in your system all the time since she takes it regularly it foesnt just leave the system st night it takes days to be out of your system. Not judging just saying. I cant drink alcohol because I take anxiety meds and will get migraines. But yea they take time to get in your system and then time like days to get out.
She also said it wasn't even Narcotic . Ridiculous. The media is trash
RIGHT! that annoyed me so much to find out it wasn’t even a harsh or addictive prescription it’s just anxiety meds that she took in the morning. i know it’s still in her system and some can be dangerous but it’s not like she took it and immediately started drinking causing serious harm. the media sucks we need to stop stigmatising medication not saying it’s a reason for someone being a bad parent
Right and not even a narcotic.
i strongly dislike the way that the interview lady referred to the mother’s anxiety medication as “doing drugs” “taking drugs” “on drugs”. gross
Yeah should have asked if she was taking any medications also.
Yeah like they stopped for a shit and a shave and feed their other kids so they’re not cooperating and therefore guilty
100% PD will keep going because they think they know. Or want it to be true - to wrap it up. God forbid it’s an election year!

It's so sad thinking she didnt know where her baby was or who took her
I feel that statement was so genuine. She was just desperate for an explanation that didn’t involve her baby being harmed.

This is true!
Wow, that’s crazy. You must have been terrified.
Omg! I’d be so scared to find my baby on top of the fridge!

Sadly accurate
The difference is pretty obvious; if ur on duty with the kids, don’t drink. It’s parenting 101.

A million percent agree I’ve checked 2 or 3 times before if I had taken my birth control some days because I forget so easy.
I have uncontrollable bp and I can’t remember if I took my meds most days and I’ve been taking it for ten years lol
That was my exact thought as well!!

Whether you're guilty or not it can never hurt to get advice from someone who understands the system on an intimate level
i love your story about your mom and Sunday dinner. i must get a set of these ear pods ASAP. God bless you and your dear mother🙏❤😊🙋
The police have techniques they use to get answers, and while they may work to help get the answers they need, they can also hurt an investigation if they have the wrong suspect in custody that they’re questioning & doing these tactics on.

weird that the police would get involved in a casino search based off a fortune teller but discount a suspect that had witnesses, phone calls, and a criminal history linking him to the disappearance.
Debbie's primal cries are not fake. Any mother recognizes that on a literal instinctual level. That woman had her child stolen.. period.
100%, yes!
You can always tell. When I've seen videos of mothers who hurt their kids crying, I feel nothing. But this woman? Her cries made me sob almost immediately. You can feel her pain, her anguish, her terror and fear.
Not even a mother but I felt this! They both looked soo empty... I agree... Their baby was STOLEN and that's it.
My autistic 9 year old decided to walk to his grandmas without telling ANYONE (we didn't know he could navigate that far at ALL we had never walked there) i was throwing up crying sobbing and praying all at the same time because we didn't know where he was for about 45 minutes. Yes yes yes
Debbie was sincerely distraught in that interview. Her cries fluctuated, nose running, eyes wet and puffy...My heart goes out to her.
These are the first parents I found completely honest, and genuinely feel their pain. I believe them.
I believe them as well. Not once do they refer to her in past terms, like “she meant the world to us”. The mom says “she means the world to us “ telling us she still thinks she’s alive.
I believe them as well you can see the heartbreak in both of them....and they talk about her in the present tense not past tense!!!

When this occurred, I did fall for the media bias.
Those coos obviously didn't use their common sense.
Listening to the mother plead for her baby is not the sound of a guilty person. That’s pure despair.Breaks my heart.
I felt the same about it as I listened... this poor family. ☹️
Exactly!
Thats what i thought, she is clearly distraught. They are not the actions of a person who killed their child
🤷🏼♀️
Good point.

I know plenty of people that keep their windows open at those temperatures or lower. Some people just run hotter than others. That woman's tears sure felt genuine to me. There was snot, sobbing...
It's not technically suspicious

I say this all the time, but no one tells these stories like Stephanie. The research, the way the story progresses, the empathy for the lost, and their families, is unmatched. Big kudos to you, Stephanie. You’re rocking it!
Yeah I feel like stephanie is, like... real if that makes sense? Like she says what people are thinking.
I say this frequently when I watch your videos or listen to the podcast: You may think you know all about a case, maybe it happened in your neck of the woods, you’ve read all the articles, the books, watched the videos, the breakdowns, etc. That is, until you see Stephanie get her teeth into it. You always provide me with with new facts, perspectives, and insights I had never even considered. I’ve been into true crime for waaaay longer than I’d like to admit, long before it became “popular.” Stephanie you are top tier, first class, A-game every single time. The research you must do boggles the mind. And you make it look so effortless. I don’t comment much, I’m not on social media but I’ve been watching your videos for years and the podcast since you guys started. A-plus work. This is my second or third time watching this video cause I was looking if there were any updates about the case and I just had to stop and make this comment. I hope you see it,but if you don’t I hope others do. Stephanie does the deepest, most thorough and thoughtful dives I’ve ever found. I hope you get the massive recognition you sorely deserve.
I agree whole heartedly! I'm a huge true crime fan - like it's to the point that I've seen/heard/researched so many I feel like I've seen them all, but Stephanie uncovers so much more and she isn't one sided in her presentation. She spins every angle, every possibility, every theory and is thorough in her research. I've only recently discovered her, but I am hooked! She's shining a whole new light on some of my favorite who dunnits and unsolved mysteries and it's like I'm seeing them again for the first time. I hope she receives the support she needs to continue her success and her dedicated research ❤
Love Stephanie's in-depth crime info also!!
Even if she WERE an alcoholic, that's a DISEASE and usually requires help to get control of. Still would not be her fault.

My theory:
Jersey was paid by someone to take that baby.
I did fully agree with this, now I have my doubts on the level of involvement of the mother.
this happened less than a mile from my house growing up and still gives me chills to this day
The fact that a call was made to someones ex girlfriends phone who was known to be in the neighborhood the same night the phones and baby went missing and that the same someone was latter identified as being seen with a baby by a witness should have been enough for the police to focus all of their search in that direction.

Yeah well, that’s Megan Kelly for ya.
...but being passed out drunk while you're the only adult caring for three young children is negligent and reckless.
She drank 10 glasses of wine! It is irresponsible. Casey Anthony is a monster.
Thank you for sharing this. You are an amazing person.
It’s really important for people to hear that these things happen. Thank you for sharing 💛
Whenever you say “hello everybody” I think it’s a missed opportunity that you don’t say “Harlowe everybody” 😂

Once in the morning, non narcotic ahe said.... MK makin it sound like she's gettin drunk n high on xanax or something
Right?! The way she said prescription was purposely to make people think she was on a mind altering drug or something similar. I take anxiety meds every morning. A man walking around with a naked baby in the middle of night and nobody thought to call the police 🤔 even just to be on the safe side
I am wondering if that story really is true. Why would police clear him?
I think people overlook men when they do things like this because it's not unusual in my experience. I have caught my husband and grilled him big time for trying to take my toddler out to the playground and in the car in just a diaper or without shoes or a jacket a few times even when the weather isn't warm.

@@wordsleuth992 OH boy. Okay, so either you're not a parent, or you don't drink. But let me tell you a top secret....
Adults drink alcohol. Some of which have children. And that doesn't make them a failure of a parent.
I don't believe that Lisa's mother had anything to do it. Logically so, and emotionally. But mostly, I trust my gut and when I heard her crying, I also started crying. Her pain was too real.
Yes!!! And how she talked about Lisa meaning so much to their boys.... I relate on so many levels. My baby boy is everything to his big brothers and sisters. I cannot imagine having to tell them their baby brother is gone.... and here we are, all these years later and their baby sissy never came home. I got eyefilled tears as well with several of them dripping down my cheeks as I listened to mom Deborah. Unimaginable. Fear. Worry.
Idk one of the interviews neither parent would say her name. They said baby, daughter but not Lisa.
Or maybe they did-and they’re just not talking. Very sad.
I'm so angry at the police in this case! Some departments just blow it. Clearly they failed to get any decent evidence at all.
They need to stop using polygraphs because they never fucking work and always end up fucking the case up even more.

Exactly- why would any parent NOT look?! Instincts would kick in to be frantically searching everywhere!!
A a mother myself my soul just shatters for her.... she must live every second in pain because even tho its not her fault she most definitely blames herself like all us moms do... damn...
Thanks I was going to say. I've known kids who were walking at 9 months and getting out of the crib about the same time, too.
I totally agree. I sensed the mom and dad were telling the truth from the first interview. She was genuinely upset like a mom would be. Also, I would say the majority of mothers have had fuzzy wine nights after a long day of taking care of kids and also are on anxiety meds.
