Perfect Salmon Crudo

  • The best salmon recipe is right here, today I'm going to show you guys how to make salmon crudo. It's my new favorite way to eat salmon. It's fresh, savory, and it's a great thing to make for a party if you want to impress a bit. Or if you just want to flex.
    Here's what you'll need:
    -300 grams fresh salmon, thinly sliced
    -1 tablespoon capers
    -Flesh of 1 mandarin, segmented
    -1/2 shallot, thinly sliced (soaked in cold water)
    -1/2 chili pepper, thinly sliced
    -Lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
    -Flaky salt, to taste
    -1/4 cup creme fraiche
    -1 tablespoon lemon juice
    -1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
    -Olive oil, for drizzling
    This one is super easy start by slicing the shallots and soak them in cold water to mellow their flavor. Slice the chili pepper. Then thinly slice the fresh salmon and arrange the slices on a serving plate.
    In a bowl, mix the creme fraiche, chopped dill, lemon juice, and a bit of salt and pepper to taste.
    Place the sliced shallots, chili pepper, capers, and mandarin segments on top of the arranged salmon slices and then using a plastic bag or piping bag, squeeze little dollops of the dill creme fraiche over everything. Garnish with lemon zest, a drizzle of olive oil, and some nice flaky salt.

    I enjoyed this video from start to finish, I never thought to try Gochugaru on something like salmon! Also, what pepper did you use?

      I just used a regular chili. Not sure the type tbh
