Sublime!
As an alto saxophonist of 55 years, I have played tens of thousands of pieces with dozens of ensembles. The eight notes three measures from the end is my favorite sax passage of all.
As another alto saxophonist, I wholly agree!
Holst is a master! ♫♪
This needs more views.
I can never stop myself from weeping every time I hear this.
I can’t imagine how hard this could have been for percussion
Playing this rn in highschool symphonic band!
Quite possibly the most gorgeous performance of this lovely song for band I have ever heard.
Great! and many thanks for playing Gustav Holst.
Holst was a Trombonist and took to the instrument because he suffered with hand problems.
Maybe this was a blessing in disguise as he shines as a brass composer, giving pride of place to the Euphonium in Mars.
Maravilhoso!❤
Merci !
quelle sonorité! A la fois pour les solistes mais surtout pur l'ensemble!
