- Covering a few of the (subjective) issues with the viper v3 pro I've seen online these past few days. I still have pretty much nothing bad to say about it, but there are definitely some people this isn't for despite being a safe design. GPX comparison soon!

boardzy what is your favorite mousepad for gaming?
@boardzy im looking for a mouse, what ergonomic mouse would you recommend? Thank you!
Hey boardzy, does mouse switches brake in over time? I think the clicks on mine is too mushy compared to the V2..Should I give me some time to brake in? Would that make it mushier?
Question. If i love my viper v2 pro with pulsar v2 superglides on a razer strider pad, do you think ill love this new shape? im a little worried the shape may throw me off
I don’t think it’s worth the upgrade if you already like the shape of the v2. The specs are almost identical apart from a 5 gram weight difference. I’m hoping they make another mouse with the original viper shape in the future.
No, if you love the V2 shape no reason to switch, you can buy 8k dongle separately if you really care about it, got the V2 myself and i see no reason to buy the V3
I just like buying mice so I’d just buy if I were you
@boardzy do you have a short description of the coating on the Viper V3s white model vs the DaV3s white?
Are the original glides good or do you recommend changing them for corepads or something different?
how does it compare to the ULX large/can you include it in the comparison video?
Yes I will include it, I prefer it over the ULX large, to put it simply it feels like its designed for claw more and I'm fine with the increased weight. Will go into more detail in the vid tho
I’ve been using the Xtrfy MZ1 Wireless for years and in the market for a new gaming mouse, Ive used the first Viper and considering the V3. Any recommendations to a new/better mice than the MZ1 or is the V3 a must-buy?
Good video, A question have you checked if this mouse works for the ps5 Slim?
whats considered small hands? im 19-10cm. I tried the Viper ultimate and it seemed too flat for me. Currently using a DAV3 and really like it but the higher upm of the viper v3 has me interested
What skates will you be using for it?
yo boardzy is the viper v3 pro a sweaty mouse because grip i need a mouse who is cold on my hands but same shape as viper or gpx
What is that zowie mouse that you have on your desk with the old logo?
Zowie mico. I’ve wanted one forever and got one finally, I’ll make a review of it soon
i like this type of talk about product. gives great insights
No idea if I should choose this or deathadder v3 pro with my 20cm hand.. what do you suggest?
i have large hands and the deathadder v3 twists my hand in a very unnatural position because of its shape
this vs DAv3?
I'm looking to upgrade from my Viper Mini soon, and was considering this as an option. Would this be the direct upgrade or is there a better option?
It will feel much larger, so if you're fine with that sure. There are plenty of small mice with high back humps that are good for claw too tho, x2h mini, sora v2 etc
Came from an HSK, now on a lamzu a mini. Def would b big for me. Before having fun with shapes I jus bought the viper v2 for the specs tho. Good to see theyre still doin well, especially after whatever the hell the cobra was
Would like you to compare it to the Vaxee Zygen, seeing as some pros are now using that mouse. Thank you dude, love the vids.
I had the superlight 1 before and didn't upgrade hearing the side buttons are the same. I tried the death adder and viper 2 before but the shapes weren't for me. With the viper 3 it feels a lot more comfortable in the hand but I find the superlight's shape to be just slightly better on the bottom left side. Depending on if I try to give it more palm to the body of the mouse I can feel the bottom left side pushing a bit into the base of my thumb which I didn't have an issue with on the superlight. It's not a big deal since it doesn't feel terrible and I can just adjust my grip and have no issue, but that's probably with the longer back hump.
I can't go back to the superlight now though since the side buttons feel awful and the viper has the ones that I like, which are razer's side buttons in general. I don't get a mushy feel or input, I get what I need and my thumb doesn't have to press in harsh. The superlight 1 has mushy side buttons that force my thumb to press against the frame of the mouse. I can feel a bit of my thumb on the edge of the viper v3's side buttons but I don't find discomfort with it and barely notice it or again, just a grip style change to adjust.
What’s the closest to a model 0 shape but a top tier mouse? Logitech shape isn’t comfortable tbh
i just got the viper v3 pro and im having issues over 500hz polling rate on some games (fortnite being the worst one) where my fps stutters like hell and has massive fps drops down to around 10fps, im playing at 400fps. when switching to 500 or lower its playable but since im on a 240hz monitor it feels slow and delayed. anyone found a fix that doesnt involve lowering my polling rate, since i would like the use 8k hz or at least 2k hz to reduce my latency.
I had that issue with glorious model 0- with 1000 polling rate. Fps drops, it drove me crazy and had to lower/change a lot of settings and graphics.
Got the Logitech g502 wired and the polling rate doesn’t affect my game (I reset most of the changed settings back to default and there are minor drops but nothing bad)
that zowie mico on the desk is a sight to behold
If I’m used to a death adder how does the size compare
theyre basically the same size
I have been using the Viper V3 Pro for couple of days now and i freaking love it, I already have the viper v2 pro and the DeathAdder V3 pro and it like the both fused and created the the viper v3 pro this mouse is just too good tbh.
what is that eggshape mouse to the far right in the video
What'd you say about claw grip and 18.5 by 10.3 hands? Need something good to replace my current mouse and v3 is with top potential atm.
Hey how do you measure hand size?
which skates you used?
Is the coating on the black one the same as the wired DAV3? I bought the white viper v3 pro and do like the coating but prefer the wired DAV3 coating more. If not i'll just stick to the white one.
black viper has the same coating as dav3 wired
All companies should make a small, medium and large of their og mice. Its a no brainer.
frfr
When comparing to other mice in the future vid, can you add the comparison to the Sora V2? Thanks for the honest reviews as always, based nation!
I actually dont have a copy on hand atm, they are for very different hand sizes/preferences feel
@@boardzy I hoping to see that comparison, is the beast X mouse you have your favorite mouse compared to the Razor Viper v3? I just upgraded my Lamzu Atlantis to the Viper v3 and man this mouse feels huge and restrictive and I have huge hands. I'm going to order the Sora v2 next, I'm a claw/finger-tip hybrid.
Gpx superlight 2 vs viper v3 pro? I just got the gpx 2 for $125 including tax and shipping. I can still return it and get the v3 pro but is it worth the extra 45ish dollars?(including tax + shipping)? I currently use the model o wireless but am looking to upgrade.
viper v3 is the best to ever do it
Do they finally allow you to use over 1000hz wired? If not that's an enormous oversight and the main reason I will not upgrade
What is your mouse pad made of?
i think that back hump of gpx and way the front tapers off makes it feel bigger to me than viper v3
I’ve got a Razer viper v 2 pro,is it worth the upgrade?
looking for same question, i just bought v2 pro :D
1000000% yes
the things I would do for a mini...
Hey i have a micro, my ex hates it though :(
Viper V3 Pro or Deathadder V3 Pro for a 19.2x9.8 hand, claw grip variation? Absolutely confused which to get and need to upgrade from Glorious Model O.
Compared to the DAV 3 pro, i like the aggressive button indents.
It's lighter, which is also good.
Not sure about the rest though. The inward slope on the right side is odd and tends to push my fingers into the mouse pad, which is annoying and causes drag.
Furthermore, the hump is oddly shaped. It touches the right side of my palm , but not the center.
They need to raise it slightly, widen the hump to fill the palm, and tone down the aggressive inward slope on the right side.
Otherwise it's a really good mouse. The DAV3 is highly competitive, though, and more comfortable.
the skin on my palm gets caught under the mouse when i flick left or right cause of my grip (i have skinny big hands)
Looking to buy an artisan mousepad for mainly csgo and warcraft 3 any recommendations for an even x and y mousepad?
They won't make a mini version since it's extra manufacturing space in another factory that will probably not sell very well compared to the normal size, not worth it unless they do market research and find that the demand is actually there. otherwise it won't happen
My man saw the view count/engagement jump on the viper video and said MORE VIPER CONTENT!
I have till this day Viper Ultimate, and what I like about that mouse and one of the key points for me, is that grip pattern on side buttons.
Dunno why they get rid of that.
is it worth the extra $60 when I can get v2 for $99?
Loving mine. ~20x10 hand. Super smooth on a glass pad
It is worth upgrading from a DAV3? They look relatively similar in size
only thing different is the shape, no?
They are different shapes. It's not an upgrade, more of a lateral move..
I'll make a video comparing those 2 mice soon as well. I ultimately prefer ambi shapes despite loving the dav3, and some minor things like lower weight, button height, sensor position. But if you're content with the dav3 shape/experience I don't think this is a necessary upgrade atm
Viper is almost the same, just I less of a hump, and the scroll wheel is a ton better on the Viper.
Gpx v3 leak
Was thinking about buying the v3 pro after buying the v3 hyper speed. I checked out one of those review models that you can try out in store and it was really similar to the v3 hyper speed. The only differences that I noticed was the coating, the censor being placed in the middle of the mouse rather than the front and a huge difference in weight and battery life. The new version has considerably noticeable weight reduction which felt really good to aim with. An issue I have with the new version of the mouse is difference in battery life. The V3 Hyper speed(older) cannot be charged and uses an AA battery or an AAA with an AA conversion kit to reduce weight. With the AA battery you can expect 280 hours of play time at 1000hz polling rate, while the V3 PRO (New) has less than 100 hrs of playtime at 1000hz polling rate. For a casual gamer or someone who values their money I would not recommend paying the 100-150 USD price premium for worse battery life. I wouldn't trade those extra 185 hours of battery life for even 40g weight reduction. Ngl the mouse is not a huge upgrade apart from the weight reduction and the censor placement. It is a good mouse but not worth the money.
why no reviews for Hyperx Haste 2 MINI ?
using both GPX and the V3 Pro, i will say the GPX does feel like a smaller mouse in hand, but the V3 Pro is super solid and im happy switching over
Hey boardzy is it worth it to buy high end mouse because side buttons end up getting double click issues in less than one year which is annoying imo
I own a variety of high end mouses and never have had side button issues. I think it just varies on what brand you get, batch, and how heavily you use them.
@@MikeRodic can you name few of them, im planning to buy viper v2 pro
@@bestspykid i own but don't use my viper v2 pro, It doesn't feel comfortable for me. I fingertip grip my mouse mainly but also use claw from time to time and the v2 feels horrible for both imo. I ended up taking it apart and using the internals for the zeromouse. The main thing i dont like about the v2 is how my fingers feel slanted the closer i place them to the scroll wheel.
@@bestspykid im not sure how you hold your mouses but for me i liked lamzu, pulsar, and if i was going for a ergo mouse i used the npo1k or ec3-cw only downside is the ec3-cw is 1khz
you should try sora v2 its good way better then viper v2 the coating for v2 is bad
I have smaller hands, and I aggressively claw. I thought the GPX was the largest size I could comfortably use, but I'm feeling pretty great on the Viper V3 Pro. If they made a mini version, I would instantly buy it, but it is still comfortable for smaller hands. Not dissimilar to the GPX in terms of size. I tried the black coating, and it wasn't much different from the white coating in terms of grip. AimAdapt says actually the black is grippier. I just went with the white because it looks clean and is less prone to fingerprints.
1:17 they did make a mini death adder.. I have mini DA and Viper. wish I could get the mini DA in wireless. Can only get the mini Viper wireless in a drop for $250+++++ which is ludacris. I have large hands but wrist and thumb damage so the mini's are easy using two fingers to hold and move them and light! I use my pinky for quick stops etc as it drags on the mouse pad. currently using an asus Keris as it's similar in size to a mini viper/DA and wireless but it's not quite there. Weight 78? grams viper mini weighs 61? sounds like a minute issue but this Asus Keris is hurting my busted up wrist and thumb. Likely going back to the wired viper mini and using an extension cable...damnit (LOVE the mini DA and viper, just need wireless)
Can you show us how to measure our hands cuz you say numbers like 20x10 but I have no clue what you mean
My only complaint is the main 1&2 clicks feel a little too light, even had some accidental actuation on my right click since it's so spammable. Compared to my DAV3 the tensioning is slightly lighter. Maybe its just my copy, curious if anyone else had this issue?
Do you have a black copy? My white unit has clicks that feel very similar to the dav3 actuation force wise, but my black seems similar to yours, albeit not as light
@@boardzy White copy. I typically use the GPX 2 so maybe my finger have built up so much strength from spamming its heavy ass clicks that it makes the Viper v3 feel too light xD.. doesn't really affect my in-game performance after getting used to it, but considering getting a replacement from Amazon and just sticking with whichever feels better.
I’ve been using the viper for about a week now and idk man I’m so mixed on the shape It just feels like it’s not meant for fingertip grip but at the same time it’s a comfortable mouse it just feels maybe a tad too big. Was kinda hoping they’d keep the old viper shape tbh
I've got my lamzu atlantis mini, I have never tried high polling rate, i play fps/moba. Would i actually notice a difference if i upgraded to this mouse and used 4k or 8k polling? Sorry if dumb question!
High polling rate great on FPS but I not know about the Moba side of things.
If you play fps at an above average level on a high refresh rate good setup I think you will be able to notice a difference. Would it make you a significantly better player? Definitely not, but the difference is very clear to me using this vs lamzus 1k implementation.
@@boardzy Yeah id say im above average ;). i have 165hz monitor, would you call that high refresh rate? thanks!
I don't notice a difference between this 8k, other 4k mice and my 1k gpx1.
Because there is No difference. All this tech reviewers only say it because they need some facts to review the newer mouses. The mice market is stagnating, there are no real improvements other than Marketing things like 8k@@laylowx
Someone leaked on reddit that one of the pros used dav3 mini prototype so I think it might come soon...
1:08 - I bought a Hati-S Ace Wireless two years back cause Razer never made a small wireless mouse.
I swear there's no way they're earning more from the Signature edition than if they just made something they can mass produce. (I hope.)
And btw if you're someone with smaller hands or just want a smaller mouse, the Hati-S Ace Wireless was okay, but it doesn't feel like a top of the line mouse. Works fine for everything except for osu! where for some reason it gains the power of teleportation.
My thumb sometimes accidentally presses the side button when I’m shooting in Valorant. This is definitely something I have to get used to.
17.7~x9cm here, love the GPX - hate the Viper V3 Pro so I'm really curious how so many people just adapted/liked it instantly. Doesn't feel at all home for me :(
What did you not like about it?
@@asd123465jkl the lack of any hump support was crazy for me, just unusable
my issue is i have no f'ing idea what i prefer lol. I went from maining the razer atheris for a while which is smaller than the orocchi or whatever to the basilisk v3 pro and am now lookiing for a lighter weight mouse lol but I dont know what style I prefer, Id finger tip grip the atheris and I kind of inbetween palm and claw the basilisk
Man if only they made these in a mini version. I switched to ULX cheetah from my rvmse and prefer the size and weight. Definitely prefer optical sensors for the clicks though. By far more reliable when it comes to double clicking issues.
TBH i have a v2, the only complaint I have is the size of the mouse. I can use it just fine but I do wish it was a little bit smaller. I also have a superlight and i prefer the v2 to the superlight. They both need a smaller version.
Is the white coating the same as the deathadder v2 faker edition?
no
I do kind of a pincer claw where my index finger hits the m1 near the scroll wheel so I hated the way the comfort grooves sloped. Objectively speaking though this mouse is really good.
a few other reviews stated the black version being the sticky coating one. Am a little confused now
They are just wrong, who even said that
My black version is def more rubberized than my white version

Should I buy a death adder v2 or the model O wirless
Neither. Find a better mouse, dav3 wired could work
@@boardzy alr
unironically haven't kept a razer mouse in years specifically because of how long the back taper of the mouse seems to always be, all other specs aside
should i replace my gpro superlight with the viper v3
100%
I have superlight original. Was gonna get #2 because my mouse is dying, but ima try this. Amazon lets you return 30 days no questions asked. We'll see how it feels!
GPX 2 or Viper V3 Pro? I used gpx 1 and it didn’t super fit my hands, I wanna try viper v3
Well the v3 is slightly shorter height so if you found gpx too big it's an option.
I had a gpx... bought the lamzu thorn/gpx SL2/ and this viper 3 pro to see which one I liked.. threw the gpx 2 back in the box. Viper feels amazing and I'm not a razer fan. Still testing atm.
I remember those days when I play CS with those heavy ball mouse . Have to take out and clean the ball once a awhile 😆. Also a good weapon to throw to people in com shop 😆
Back button annoys me because my thumb comes down a slight angle and have large hands. If the buttons had more \ shape instead of [ shape would not be an issue. Installing the grips helped a lot.
I have it now, my lamzu fanatic feels so cheap after using this viper v3 pro that looks like a generic mouse but feels so premium from coating and all the buttons.
As for the shape, for now it's uncomfortable for me because I used lamzu for 5months.
Compare to pulsar x2h mini pls have both in cart can't decide and or sora 2 .
Everything wrong with the op1 8k then? Seems to be a couple things you didn't mention (mainly the scrollwheel being absolute horseshit)
the v2 pro has been my favorite mouse i've ever used its like it was molded for my hand i also palm grip and the gpx hump feels like it pushes into my palm and the v2 feels like im resting my palm on it which feels so much better....if the v3 pro shape is still the same as v2 then im deff gonna get it
Not a single sensor complaint? Well, it should be a little higher :)
do i get the dav3 or vip3r? hand size 17x10
Ay~ We have the same handsize! All I can say for certain is that the dav3 feels way too big. Even with a palmgrip the mouse feels kinda big. IDK about the viper though. Try using eloshapes and compare it to mice that used to fit your hand and gripstyle. Also even a 1mm difference can be felt between 2 mice. Especially if it's the hump so choose wisely. Also if a mouse fits your hands, it _feels_ lighter and causes way less wrist fatigue. So shape is more important than weight so do not hesitate to go for like a 80g mouse if it fits your hand.
are the specs of v3 better than signatures?
Technically it does have the new upgraded sensor, beyond that no, and I dont think Id be able to tell the difference in a blind test
@@boardzy thanks!
My v3 pro kept disconnecting while playing
I just purchased this mouse 2 weeks ago and honestly its responsive, I noticed i had a really nice grip to the mouse it doesn't slip with sweaty palms. really fast mouse. feels like good quality
17 cm hand haver here and I love the shape lol. IDK what people are complaining about. Granted, my first good gaming mouse was a sensei ten. Side buttons and coating are excellent for me too.
Did you get the white one?
@@demon6937 I went out of my way to get the white one lol
SHOCKING😮
For my grip, the sensor was slightly too far back
I try every single mouse on the market different feeling with all them with positives and negatives aspect ! And after all I tested the GPX 2 is no doubt still the goat in terms of overall performance it s just insane how this mice work in every single game !
They made a mini deathadder. I have one... wtf i swear boardzy did a review on it before.
I know this is very niche 😂 but Pwnage updated the storm breaker w a 4k sensor and maybe other things idk but with some of the buzz around the new asus mouse I thought it would be a cool comparison
Quick tip for all you new Viper v3 pro owners out there. Dav3 skates fit perfectly on the viper v3 pro. I just put an extra set of x-raypad obsidian skates on mine and it’s wonderful!
Boardzy compare to vaxee xe, i love the xe shape a lot. The only other thing u could ding it on is the weight.
Why are you using Razer mouse on an Artisan mousepad? You do know the sensor is ginna be fucked up because of that right?
What?
@@epicpeep3741 You’re a pure one
Ok
watches video with the V3 Hyperspeed. Have my V3 pro coming tuesday from Amazon.
could you please do a comparison between the v3pro and the vmse?
The black version is almost too sticky for me, especially the more clammy the hands get, its almost like glued on my version at least.
I'm honestly surprised at how well rounded Razer's mouse lineup is. It's not perfect (no real viper mini wireless cough cough.) But considering how Logitech, the other biggest player in the space really only has 1 mouse that's even viable. I would expect most companies to give in the same amount of effort.
and i was just about to go to work...
same🤣
