George Benson is in a class all by himself,, Norman Brown certainly studied Benson's playing technique, that's obvious,, but,, you can't improve something when it's already perfect! Brown would need something more unique about his playing to pull away from Benson's very tall shadow! Brown is a great guitarist for sure, but sadly, he did ride George's coat tails a little!
@GigglingGirI Norman is influenced by George no doubt....but my no means a "copy cat"...it may seem like that to untrained ears...lol...but thats not the case!!
@SunsetBeachHawaiiBoy lol u should be able to hear that george benson has so much chromaticism in his playing and norman dosen't play with as much chromatics at all...u should be able to tell that if u've been playing 20 years!!! haha

That version of "The Ghetto" was particularly spot-on. One of the best recent Benson performances I've seen.
Michael oniell should play his clean toned lines whenever he’s given space to play..he’s one of the best george imitators around..
