    I really enjoyed learning about Terra Vista! My husband and I have decided to visit Guanajuato in 2024. This looks like a beautiful, safe and comfortable lodging. We are Canadian and plan on traveling central Mexico now that we are retired. Thank you for this video!

    Wow, what a place. Endre needs to connect with Guadalupe from Los Arroyos Verde, they are like two peas in a pod. The wood shop is quite something. The gardens remind me of Osso Negro Coffee in Nelson BC, so much care and attention to detail and layout.

    Lovely video, lovely man, lovely couple, and lovely property. Thanks for sharing this with us. I’m curious to know how much $ he’s invested in the property and whether it’s a labor of love or commercially viable?

    I watched the three part videos, had to watch part one twice because of the wood shop. I used to have a custom wood working business. I liked the orange apartment with the outdoor seating. Andre is an interesting guy. Love the video...

      Greg, Glad you liked the videos....it would be great to see a fellow woodworker here at Terravista....I could even show you my stash of wood (currently in three locations on the property) I also run a sawmill here as I cut my own trees in the vicinity of Guanajuato. Saludos Endre

    Interesting content. So honestamente, Joel, why México? Media tells us of all the thousands moving north. They don't talk about the now over 2 million gringos who moved south. Do you believe the US and Canadian economies are heading to their demises?

    • @MovingToMexiCo
      @MovingToMexiCo  Год назад +1

      We are betting on Mexico to outperform Canada and the US in the coming decades. I think there are a lot of cracks in the Canadian and US economies. Canada alone has a debt to GDP of over 150% while Mexico is around 50%. Interest rates in Mexico have always been high and now interest rates in Canada are going to continue to march upward. That will not only hit Canadians with variable debt or debt that is maturing, it is going to destroy the Federal budget with the increase in debt servicing costs. They will have to continue to print more money to pay the interest. Eventually the kicking of the can down the road hits you in the face.

      @@MovingToMexiCo Thanks for sharing, Joel. I feel the same way. Currently, national debt in the US for each taxpayer is $250K. Median income is about $36K, and GDP per capita is around $62K. The US governments, as well as their respective citizens, are drowning in debt. It's part of a cultural norm where people live beyond their means. People work their ass off to buy on credit anything that's possible and conveibable: flashy cellphones, trendy clothes every 3-6 months, new cars. every year, homes, etc. Hence the emphasis to work on building up a good credit score to be able to get more debt. And economists praise these behaviors because that is how GDP grows. And DEBT has a negative connotaion, so economist invented a euphemism: LEVERAGE. Leverage does not sound as bad so consumers love to leverage. I find that Mexicans are culturally different and for the most part, debt is not so ingrained in their minds and culture. I think that makes the Mexican economy more resilient in more than one way. Cheers, my friend!
