My 5-day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu was with Alpaca Expeditions, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! From start to finish, every detail was taken care of. The team (guides, porters, chef) was incredible and I wouldn't hesitate to join a tour with them again.
A big thank you to all of my current patrons, your support continues to mean so much to me! And if you’re thinking about joining our group there… come on over! 😊 (Or, if a monthly amount doesn’t feel right, a café con leche ☕️ donation on PayPal is always appreciated!! @nadinewalks)

Watching this one in particular, was a watershed of emotions for me as I walked with you (not literally) during this video. I remember all of what you had shown and the adventure with my wife, we felt so blessed and lucky not to have the crowds. In 2002, spending time at Machu Picchu was a very spiritual journey for us. As you experienced, it is a special place unlike any other. While we were there we took a lot of pictures but no video. Thank you for sharing...
Stunning! Thanks for taking us along. Cheers and adventure on!
Wow, it must have been amazing once the cloud had passed. Looks gorgeous!
I am so happy for you that you are able to walk to so many wonderful places!
Fantastic. Just adjective after adjective. Well done!
Beautiful Nadine! Thank you for sharing your very special trip! As always, beautiful photography and music. Safe travels home and I'm already looking forward to your next adventure.
...doesn't get more magical and perfect, Nadine... gave me goosebumps... it felt as if 'God slowly pulled back the foggy curtains' for you, and it all got revealed... what a gift 💖
I'm so envious. Been wanting to visit there since I was a kid. Always been my dream but even though I'm almost retired and been to over 30 countries I've never even been to South America (but have been in that quarter of the world having been to Cuba and Mexico). I really need to make it happen while I'm still fully fit and active.
Go. I went to Machu Picchu in 1965, while we lived in Peru. During our two years there, we traveled the continent quite a bit. I've been back on short trips. South America has some sort of magic.
Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. My one day at Machu Picchu is a clear astounding movie I can replay in my head at any time, even though it happened decades ago. I hope you have a similar wonderful memory of it when you reach my age!
Amazing footage at the site Nadine....I really had a sense of the magnitude of the views and altitude...thank you for making this series, you really captured your experience so well that it felt like part of me was walking with you.
Congrats! ❤ Those views. How special
Great video Nadine! ! Can’t wait to see what your next adventure is!!❤
Magnificent🌟🌟🌟 Thank you, Nadine for sharing this one with us💖
It was a really incredible trip, I miss it already!
Wow wow wow, another great adventure in the bag! I can’t say enough about how much your Camino videos helped me prepare for my own. I’m so happy to see you exploring elsewhere. How about the West Highland Way? That’s on my bucket list, and I’d love to have you preview it 😉.
Always so wonderful to see a comment from you! (and because I'm not sure how to reply in any other way, thank you so much for your generosity on PayPal, it means so much and goes straight to the 'café con leche' fund!!). Well, I've already walked the West Highland Way, back in 2016... which was before I started taking videos of my walks. But I loved it so much and have been wanting to return to Scotland! Maybe it's a good excuse to rewalk some routes so that I can capture it all on video... :)
as they say in german "Das wandern ist des Müllers lust" please keep us entertained , Dankeschoen
Your grin is a mile wide, and that says it all. Well done, my friend. Rick W.
Thanks Rick, it was an adventure of a lifetime. Speaking of adventures, are you in France yet?? Bon chemin!
Did you get any alpaca clothes? It’s great for hiking. Better than merino. No stink. Nice video. Hope you do more non-Camino hikes (in addition to Camino trips, of course).
❤❤❤
omg, lucky you💪
I know!! I felt so incredibly lucky to be there!
I am doing the trek in September and I was looking for advice. I will be in Cusco for 3 days for acclimation and would like to go on an all day tour out of Cusco on the second day. Do you think that is too much activity before the hike?
I did a full day tour of the Sacred Valley on my first full day in Cusco (I arrived around 11am on a Thursday and did the tour on Friday). I thought it was fine! I think it will depend on how you're feeling, and while it was a long day, it was really so nice to have a van to transport us around and to not have to worry about any details, and to be led around all the sites. I do think a lot of people do tours before their treks, but certainly see how you're feeling after the first day and if you're okay, I'd say go for it!
@@NadineWalks Thanks for the response!
Your journeys are fantastic. ❤
